Bungie, did you nerf how we get Umbral traces???
I ran 2 Gambit Prime and 1 regular gambit and ended up with only 92 % Umbral traces for the Means to an End quest.

Then I ran 4 Escalation Protocol levels to get the last 8%!!!! WTF!?
Killed ads for 3 solid minutes and got 2 traces.
Last time this quest could be completed in Gambit / Gambit prime i got it done before the third match was done.
I feel some progress throttling shenanigans
Edit: I ran Reckoning on my Warlock... got it done in 1 full tier 2 and 2 failed attempts... Bungie, why do you start me in Reckoning with 1 random and timer half gone 2 times in a row?

2 RepliesI got 29% in one round of Gambit - so it should be done in about 3 shouldn't it? How is this worse than previously? (having said that I much prefer the weeks when you can get traces in Mengaerie or Nightmare Hunts because, by setting the clock back, you can do both alone without disturbing anyone else and in the case of hunts it doesn't usually require more than 2 rounds of the Gate Lord one to get 100%. When it's gambit it feels like much more of a "slog" to get it done!)

Takes forever in gambit prime, can easily be done in 2 regular gambit matches.

Any activity with more yellow bars will help, [i]except[/i] EP it seems. I ran t2 reckoning and had it almost all done after 1 run.

I kinda wish it was possible to get Umbral traces from every activity. I don't want to do Gambit or Reckoning this week. I want to do crucible.

EP has been trash for traces all season. They want you in Gambit so they made EP a stupid grind.

Reckoning is hands down the fastest and most reliable way to get em. If you want fast traces, do Reckoning.

3 RepliesEscalation Protocol was always a bad way of doing it. Reckoning seems to be the best for this weeks. They haven't throttled anything as this is the third time we've had this version and it was like this the first time round.

1 Replyi ran 4 regular gambit and got to 99%. lol went and ran EP for the last 1%. last time gambit was in rotation, i just ran the 3 matches (for bounties) and was done before the end of the 3rd match.
