What does everyone think? Guardians, tell us!
With the current levelling system in mind. Should exotic engrams that drop in the wild drop at pinnacle lvl or stay how it is?
Imo they are rare enough to drop at pinnacle lvl. It would also give a lot more emphasis to being an exotic. Whilst adding a way to lvl up for everyone.
Having them drop at pinnacle would have a positive effect on the game, because sometimes there are no reasons to play 🤫
I have had three drop in a week and also none.
Before you vote remember it’s on the exotic drops in the wild.

Yes, but also I don’t really care much as the pinnacle power grind is kind of a joke. You’ll never feel the impact of +/-10 power anywhere anyways. I wish they would make pinnacle power matter first.

Don’t care about exotics either way. They are pretty much useless.

As rare as they are now, yes. I only get 2 or 3 per week, it's not like it would be game breaking.

2 RepliesVoted no. The purpose of getting to pinnacle max was to give people that play a lot something to grind for/chase. The majority wasnt gonna get there, and that was cool. But because of egos and people not wanting to feel left behind, bungie made changes to help make it easier for the majority to get there. I see no reason to add to that even further. Also, the artifact does just what you're asking for: something that gives everyone a way to level up.

I'd say +1 instead of pinnacle They're rare but they're a lot more common now than before so I feel +1 to overall gear score would be fine

They should drop at a pinnacle level. With more and more Exotics being locked behind quests, getting an Exotic engram in the wild ( during gameplay ) isn’t as exciting as it used to be, especially since most of the playerbase has most of these Exotics already. Bungie needs to do something to make Exotic drops exciting again.

Well, if Bungie ever changes their level, it'll just change again in a season or two. Bungie can never just stick with one function for exotic Engrams, other than they always decrypt an exotic....

In my mind exotics are so rare, if they don’t drop at pinnacle level it’s just a huge letdown which ruins the whole experience of getting an exotic.

It sucks to see an exotic engram and think “Well that’s useless”. Making it drop pinnacle would delay that feeling

Well considering the fact that once you have every exotic they can drop if not all exotics entirely, exotic drops become nearly useless unless you by some miracle you happen to get a duplicate of an armor piece you do use, that has better stats rolls on it than the one you already have. At least if they dropped as pinnacles it would add some benefit to them. Personally I think that once you have all 59 of the items exotic engrams can drop, you should be able to choose what item you want out of it when you open them, as this would allow for people to actually obtain better rolls of the exotics we do use and not more of what amount to nothing better than currency like the majority of other gear we get.

Any gear random world-drops, including exotics, I think should be within random world-drop power levels. Exotics in particular should be equal to the highest potential power of said slot, but not over if the slot level is at the soft cap.
