I love how triggered all the pvp players get in this thread because people don't like pvp and they think that people don't respect the pvp "struggle", seriously hilarious.

I despise pvp and hated that this quest required me to go into crucible. They should always have options available. Like kill 25 guardians OR do a nightfall OR do ten lost sectors. I'd assume many pvp players would like a similar thing whereby there is pvp options for quests that are usually pve focused. Options are always nice.

I play this game for the pvp only and completely agree. Pvp requirements should not be in pve quests. Pvp aimed gear and exotics is separate thing but as a general rule the above stands. Only thing pvp quest steps in a pve-oriented quest does is make pve people do the bare minimum in pvp to get it done which makes for a terrible experience for them because they generally dislike it and are not good at it either which only amplifies the effect. They get it done, hate every step of it and never touch pvp again. Until the next similar quest step comes along. Rinse and repeat. The only thing this achieves is a lot of angry folks in the forums in posts like this. And also them flooding in other pvp-related posts that try to focus on pvp feedback and improvement ideas, venting their frustation with unconstructive flame posts that downplay pvp as a whole. Reverse can be observed in comments below with the snarky pvp players commenting. The disgruntled back-and-forth would ideally need to stop when both sides have legitimate issues that aren't getting addressed. Pve and pvp are 2 separate activities with some overlap in their playerbase and a lot of no-overlap. Bungo should separate pve quests and pvp quests AND their rewards to their perspective activities. Not saying lock raid guns out of use from pvp or pvp pinnacles from pve. But do stop adding pvp steps to pve quests and avoid designing pvp guns that become pve meta. The latter part has seen improvement with the ditching pinnacle guns as a whole -design move. More design decisions in this general direction. Anything else is a disservice to the playerbase as a whole.

Here here! I just got through a couple of pvp matches for a weapon quest and it was absolutely disgusting the way ppl play. Its like whats the best way to get cheap, easy kills. It was almost nothing but sliding shotgunning fuknuts, fusion rifle spraying ingrates, hiding in the back sniping dip shits, and let’s not forget everyone going HAM with arbelest trying to get that ritual weapon. Honorable mention to that new one shot hunter knife. Yeah... that bullshit too

I hate hate pve it feel like the tribute hall get over it. Is the issue that enemies in pvp actually fight back!

What might be a good idea is to see if Bungie will allow an "un-addon". That is, we pay Bungie to allow those who chose to buy it to not have PvP (and associated requirements) in their game. So, instead of this PvP nonsense they dropped on us ... again ... we'd make it worth Bungie's while to skip PvP entirely. But Bungie needs to herd people into PvP, otherwise, they wouldn't be doing this.

No, this is not the same Bungie have been doing, this time they forced pvp WHILE DOING A STORY MISSION, that's even worse. I'm sick of Destiny's pvp since the first month of Destiny 1, I can't believe it's Bungie the one who made it because Halo's pvp was fun, but Destiny's is decadent... and this is the last straw. Bungie has crossed a forbidden limit, but looks like they don't care at all if they make the game experience extremely unpleasant to some players. Since Destiny 1 we've been yelling to stop mixing both modes and they've been doing the opposite, pvp is overinvasive like a cancer and has been ruining pve alot, and now it has become a wall to break in order to advance with the pve story. I, and I bet many others, demand someone from Bungie to appear and say something, and we hope it's an apology and a quick patch removing the pvp requirements for that STORY adventure.

Because they want people to experience every part of their game, and they assume even the most brain-dead Guardians can deal at least 1 damage to enemies for the assist points. Most of you would've snapped your consoles in half over your knee dealing with something as simple as even the Ace of Spades quest, let alone Thorn in D1

I know a lot of pvp players are going to say what’s the problem ... but the problem is this game is pve not pvp based. So I totally agree with you on this one ... bungie has screwed up really bad on this one
