Trying to farm for an Antiope-D god roll or a Black Scorpion but it costs 100 MATERIALS to get 1 gun when the loot pool is large and most of the weapons cannot be obtained outside of the gunsmith (except erentil, thanks menagerie) can we please get gunsmith weapons for less materials or at least buff weapon telemetries
-
4 RepliesSitting with 30 thousand gunsmith materials and proud the price got bumped up for a 100 materials a package. as there's nothing to spend them on. Most of the weapons suck I don't need legendary shards or mods or masterwork cores. Give yourself a challenge and stop taking the easy route to cheese everything .

100 pieces of scrap for a gun is a decent deal, try to get that when going into Cabela's. I'm rolling in scrap, what do you spend it on?
-
I think he should have more bounties like ikoras where if you get so many kills with that weapon type you get a random weapon of the same type.
-
I just did the weekly engram for him and he gave me gauntlets....armor.....from the GUNsmith.....returded.

I have too much. I used to sit on 4 stacks all the time pre patch where other mats could only be like 20. You get so many weapon parts from dismantling.

1 ReplyNot just the gunsmith, the Y1 planets too. Now that Y1 vendor gear is useful again, I can farm those depending on the looks I prefer. But 100 MATERIALS for one engram? THAT STILL DROPS Y1 WEAPONS? Whether they didn't have time, ignored it, or completely forgot, it's ridiculous to grind for the Y1 planet vendors, it needs to be adjusted. 50 for the gunsmith and 20-30 for the planet vendors seem good enough to me.

it use to be cheap but i think bungie knew we veterans were sitting on large amounts of parts thanks to that depressing and easy to obtain no randy rolled loot that was year 1 so of course they bump it right up to we can burn threw stockpiles of parts
-
Dear lord how’d you run out?
-
You have to dismantle 33-34 legendaries or 100 rares to get enough materials to buy 1 legendary engram.... sounds legit. Bungie's economy never makes sense

7 RepliesEverything in this game is absurd.

9 Repliesting You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but,Some creatures of the Hive strain against the Will of Oryx. Alak-Hul the Darkblade is one such. Long ago he fomented rebellion against the King and attempted to take his mantle. Alak-Hul failed and now awaits the “mercy” of the Hive. Given the chance the Darkblade will step in to take Oryx’s crown. We must not allow another prince to rise.

Edited by Angelus-B-: 10/27/2019 5:38:11 AMHow's this a problem? The amount of weapons parts you get from the incessant drops of blue and legendary armor and weapons is more than enough to farm for banshee weapons if you run low, go farm crucible and vanguard tokens for gear to dismantle for more.

1 ReplyI have about 7k weapon parts and don’t really need antiope when my y1 rocks. I did feed him 200 or so and got lucky with a decent scorpion. Other than that I’ll just hang on to my parts until there is a better use for them.
-
1 ReplyIve got 3 antiopes since forsaken and none of them are better than my yr1 antiope, if anything being able to pick 1 out of a couple choices would be lovely.
-
2 RepliesMy 31k weapon parts are waiting for a random rolled New City. I was hoping Forsaken would have done that and now Shadowkeep didnt even have a vendor refresh. At least the stack limit increase saved me all that vault space... that apparently I'm going to use on more weapon parts. Lol

3 RepliesJust wanna point out its been like this for over a years, and you(the forums) now choose to complain about it?

Edited by Brothers-Four: 10/26/2019 11:37:16 PMThe main reason for this was because back in Y1 there really was no purpose to using your mats for the gunsmith. And you’d get so many of them that people started getting stacks greater than 40,000. When Y2 happened the use of the mats went up to 100, but still wasn’t too useful once you get higher up in power. Resulting in Y1 players now having more than 50k and sometimes 60k mats. I barely play 15hrs a week and I still get a few thousand in a week or two. Especially if I’m not infusing or buying from him.

Boohoo, loot pool is trash anyway..
-
Yeah. The funny thing is that if his engrams were cheaper, id actually buy engrams to try and get god rolls for some of the weapons. At 100 per engram, i dont buy any... ever.
-
The reason are vanilla players. It used to cost 25 materials, but players don't take too kindly to their resources being removed/cut and because bungie made all gear useless for a better part of a year, just about anyone that played in Y1 is sitting on at least tens of thousands of gunsmith mats, so bungie eventually bumped it up to 100, because just like always, bungie's design philosophy is screw you if you don't sink every penny you earn and every second of your life into being up to date.
-
1 ReplyIt used to be like 25 or 50 then they went crazy and made it 100 Bungie you got a screw loose or somethin like seriously that's not taking lunch money minor bad thats highway robbery
-
2 RepliesI don't know about the loot pool being large with the absurd amount of duplicates we get from the gunsmith.
-
7 RepliesI agree, most factions require 20 (exception being destination vendors like devrim, Asher, etc) so why does banshee need 100? I get that weapon parts are WAY easier to collect (especially when youre 910+) but 100 is way too much, 50 would be perfect though
-
18 RepliesEdited by Tamacountry: 10/26/2019 12:57:40 AMI have over 10k weapon parts and even I think it’s a little costly. There’s so many weapon in his loot pool so even if you spend 5k there’s no guarantee that you’ll get what you want not even counting the roll it has. I don’t know why they changed it in the first place, it’s not like you can level up quickly with only weapon drops anyway
-
4 RepliesHe could just sell weapons though weekly inventory so that you could pick up the gun you want. I personally don't buy anything from the gunsmith, so I have 26,000 weapon parts.
