Clearly you don't actually want players to play your content. Why waste my time using an LFG? Umm...LITERALLY just let me match make for 950's. Let ME decide if the lack of communication is an issue and run off to find a team if I feel the need. Stop telling me, "No go make some friends" when matching with players WOULD MAKE ME SOME **** FRIENDS.
You.
Godd**n.
Idiots.
Edit: A lot of people are saying "tHeY cAn'T aDd MaTcHmAkInG bEcAuSe Of MoDiFiErS aNd EqUipMeNt LoCkS!" They can add a requirement to have two different kinds of weapon mods before you're allowed to launch. I thought this would be common sense.
Yet another Edit: Bungie's reply is basically: We don't trust players and don't think they will be able complete 950 Nightfalls because alot of you suck at communicating and have no thumbs and we won't give you a chance to prove otherwise by atleast temporarily adding matchmaking and collecting completion statistics.

1 ReplyEdited by BIRB: 10/17/2019 6:10:32 PMCompletely agree with you. I bet lots of people agree with you, in fact. But just a word of advice, you don’t need to be rude and call the devs “idiots”, because surely they wont listen then. Destiny is an ever changing and game which requires user feedback. That feedback doesn’t have to be hostile.

They should certainly make the MM eventually. Sooner or later a 950 is going to be no more difficult than an 850 or something. As the power levels go up the difficulty will go down so they might as well just make them match make-able.
-
Seriously why is it so hard
-
Edited by Meji Kino: 10/17/2019 6:52:55 PMBecuase "creating content is hard" and apparently programming is hard as well. Well it actually is hard, but they should know how to do it if they are in that field. It is also because some people do not want it, they can not come up with an excuse, and they will insult people that think matchmaking would be a good idea. Then there are people that give reasons for it and reasons against it. Reasons for: 1.) Easier to make content relevant. 2.) Will let other people that play solo get better gear. 3.) Will let people play raids, that is if raids were included in your forum. 4.) Matchmaking can be a solution to enlist more players in the game. Reasons against: 1.) Team work is needed: Communication is key. 2.) The randoms will probably not pay attention to what they need for the challenge. 3.) It will take too long, because many people will be dying. 4.) Other people will be undergeared and probably have to be carried.

1 ReplyI was going to agree with you, but it doesn’t sound like a good idea.
-
You sound exactly like the sort of player I don't want to be matched with, so ... no.
-
I'm just happy we got MM for nightfall at all. Adept difficulty is just a somewhat slower paced heroic, and Hero difficulty really isn't that bad so long as you're patient. In fact, I'm glad they're punishing to those who try and rush/skip everything, as that's something I've always hated in regular heroic strikes. The only issues I've had with Hero difficulty is that my build's not very good for taking down yellow-bars or bosses, and the super CD is so long that I often just save bubble only for the final boss. I'm more built for killing red/orange-bars, meaning I have to rely on someone with a boss-nuking build or loadout for the tougher targets. I will say Stronghold with its unlimited sword blocking is a godsend for reviving allies.

Should be matchmaking ONLY if you're a titan with Greaves/1-2P/Coil.
-
6 RepliesLol, you don’t decide anything. 950 with randoms and no mic is a terrible idea.
-
If you ever played a guided game, that's why. Not always the best geared guardians out there.
-
2 RepliesEdited by arborrana: 10/17/2019 5:21:01 PMBecause I just spent an more than an hour completing a 100k 950 run because we needed to figure out which mods to use with an lfg fireteam. Killing champions with a bunch of non-communicating randoms would be impossible and frustrating. Just imagine getting grouped with the idiots like me by matchmaking, people would complain.
-
1 ReplyLast week during the Pyramidion ordeal, I matched with potatoes at 750 LL who didn't know how to open the Pyramidion gates. And you want 950 potatoes? What are you glutton for punishment? Lol
-
I couldn’t think of anything worse than loading in with a pair of scrubs running dual sidearms
-
Remove matchmaking from all PvE activities
-
2 Repliesconsidering the jokers ive seen in the 920 version i really wouldnt like to go into the 950 with it! people heading in there just looking to be carried, 10 levels too low and using misfit or some shizz! no thank you.
-
hahahahha aahahaha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH
-
6 RepliesNightfall and matchmaking has never happened. Why would they start now?
-
2 RepliesPersonally, I don't like not having the option to turn match making off, I don't want to do Nightfalls with random people all of the time and I certainly don't want a random replacing my clan mate, who just got error coded. There should be an option to turn it on or off.
-
2 RepliesBecause at that level of time invested you’d get matched with under level people who do not have the correct champion mods and just want to be carried through. Seeing you protest makes me think this is you 😂
-
Edited by ZayOsiris Gaming: 10/17/2019 5:17:31 PMBecause more than half of the destiny community sucks at this game. Hence why higher tier content requires a team that can community & Coordinate load outs & subclasses. Always remember. Being a high light level player doesn’t immediately make you a “good” player. Some things just require (LFG) friends.
-
personally I don't care either way but maybe an option to toggle on and off could be add i do occasionally like to load in solo and give high score runs a shot solo
-
2 RepliesGit gud at socializing? Idk.
-
Funnily enough, I actually made a friend on LFG. Now we play Destiny 2 together a lot.
-
Because people wouldn't get very far seeing it has match game, requires the new artifact weapon buffs, and equipment is locked.
-
Played the heroic ordeal (or whatever it's called), took FOREVER with people quitting in and out. Like all the literally had to do was use and arc weapons and we win... Anyhow, the fact that I could just stay in the game while people joined in and out (I joined mid-way myself) it saves a bunch of time. It was easier to wait it out and just farm kills, instead of using the fireteams/LFG. I think every game mode should have a matchmaking option. Everyone doesn't have 5 friends on at the same time because of life. And a bunch of randoms won't get it done. Ever. They just leave. At least with matchmaking you have a never ending rotation of players that WANT to get it done.
-
2 Replies"The end game is friendship" -DeeJay But yeah I feel you, completely worthless to lock out game modes like this.
