Why can't we matchmake for 950 Nightfalls?
Clearly you don't actually want players to play your content. Why waste my time using an LFG? Umm...LITERALLY just let me match make for 950's. Let ME decide if the lack of communication is an issue and run off to find a team if I feel the need. Stop telling me, "No go make some friends" when matching with players WOULD MAKE ME SOME **** FRIENDS.

Yet another Edit: Bungie's reply is basically: We don't trust players and don't think they will be able complete 950 Nightfalls because alot of you suck at communicating and have no thumbs and we won't give you a chance to prove otherwise by atleast temporarily adding matchmaking and collecting completion statistics.

1 ReplyYou literally just want to be carried. Your highest character is 960. Furthermore, fireteam composition actually matters in 950+ nightfalls because your gear locks and if you don't have the right equipment on, you straight up can't do it. Simply put, you're not looking at all the factors.

Unless your wanting to jump into 950 "match made" content with your 936 Warlock and have two other people who worked to meet the recommended level carry you through...

All activities should have the ability to play solo or Match Making..... Heroic Haunts have MM but the 950 level is playable solo... this breaks all of the things Bungie uses as to the reasons why. Why can I do the easy level only with MM but the hardest level is available solo?

Dont you get it that an lfg site is just a shit form of matchmaking anyway? It's the easiest thing in the work to Implement. Here's how (ui design is part of my job btw). You search for a group that is matched to light level. The instead of launching when you get the fireteam, it (shock horror) goes to a lobby. It automatically offers you the option to enter team chat (which you can decline). PC players can discuss in team chat what modifiers to use EXACTLY LIKE AN LFG SITE. On pc and console Each player can select their preferred modifier from a list, and it selects the ones with majority vote. It then asks for confirmation for launch. If someone is unhappy they can leave and rematchmake. Everyone happy then launch. Also I'd much rather match with underskilled randoms and be able to push through or even fail, than not be able to even play the damn activity at all because I cant get a group. You want a premade fireteam, make one. You want to matchmake? Choose it and deal with it. I'm not usually rude on these forums but I consider people who are against matchmaking in nightfalls to be utter elitist -blam!- without the power of individual thought. Including bungie.

What I mean is that simply queueing barrier, overload and unstoppable role assignment before letting a matchmaked team going in a nightfall would solve most of the "coordination requirement". And Nightmare master hunt does not have matchmaking ? Seriously, we have to find people on our own for a 10 min activity with what, 4 rooms ? And to coordinate what ? Is it not clear enough that the monsters need to be killed to move to the next room ?

4 RepliesAgreed. This should also apply to 950 Nightmare Hunts. I get needing to match make for raids and 980+ activities. But everything at our level cap (950/960) down should have matchmaking. Again, except for old raids which are also lower light lvl at this point. Did a 100k 950 last night with two other blueberries from LFG with no comms and had no issues. I don’t see why 950 matchmaking isn’t a thing. Unless LFG helps filter out some of the casuals? 🤔 I guess that argument could be made.

2 RepliesAs long as minimum power to enter is 950, absolutely. Because even doing 920s, the amount of people trying to do them at less then 905 is ridiculous. People need to realize the recommendation isn’t just there for show.
