2 RepliesThe only thing that baffles me is how they can continue to believe that nerfing damage perks will make shitty perks better. It doesn't. But I guess it's a laziness thing again, because instead of re-evaluating all perks and finding ways to make them useful, they just chop the numbers of good ones. Kill clip and Rampage will still be the go-to perks, just less effective now, and no amount of nerfing damage will make perks like "increases accuracy while airborne" any more useful. Beyond the perk nerfs, the fact that Recluse is going to remain untouched in Crucible is a bad idea. Everybody who will be joining the Crucible for the first time is going to get shit on so hard by D2 veteran players with old pinnacle weapons.

2 RepliesIf you're going to nerf kill clip, you have to bump the damage numbers on adaptive frame auto rifles. there is no way that it can remotely compete against hand cannons or pulse rifles. also buff side arms too. on top of that nerf erentil: I shouldn't be mapping people from miles away.

they nerfed us so much that the moon is full of heavy ammo boxes so that we can kill the hive ranks... 🤣🤣🤣

5 RepliesEdited by Veilfire07: 9/27/2019 1:17:50 PMAm glad pinnacle weapons are being dealt with, I have earnt most of them and can very much see how they are game breaking, I don't remember the last time I unequipped Recluse. This is a bold move on part of bungie one that will benefit the community (hopefully no more account recoveries) and the game (encounters will be more flexible and not be designed around a few weapons, MountainTop, Recluse) in the long run. Also love the QOL changes, brilliant stuff overall.

2 RepliesReading these comments like “oH No!!! PoLitICS in mA VidyA Gams!!!!!!!!” No wonder they pay more attention to reddit. These forums are ridiculously toxic and stuff like this is why companies like Bungie announce these things: to make certain groups of people finally feel included. Y’all are just a bunch of angry people. It’s just a video game right? Right? So what’s the big deal? Does it have any effect on gameplay and actual fun in the game? No. This is why gamers get targeted for homophobic and racial stuff nowadays. GG guys.

I’m curious how all the nerfs to supers, pinnacle weapons, perks that increase damage, critical hits and instant reloading abilities will impact these horde modes we have. A lot of the adds are “bullet sponges” as it is and the with them being everywhere, shooting from every direction is somewhat overwhelming at times. It’s more of a balancing act of who dies and who can revive in time. I always figured the extra perks were made with specific weapons in mind. On top of that this game does sort of push you to be as effective as possible. We crunch the numbers, look things up online, grind for gear that increases damage from every measure. Running through content isn’t always just about time, it’s about survivability. The faster we can dispose of adds, the less things that are shooting at us when we need to focus elsewhere (I.e. DPS phases, holding a plate, go for a revive etc.). Once again nerfing something doesn’t make something else more appealing if something else is more flawed or a poor fit regardless. I’ve still yet to use an Ashen Wake or Aeon Swift (right name for exotic arms?). From a time standpoint we now have to look at content being removed. I don’t know the numbers for what people are actually logging in hours wise but I know not all can put in long hours. This game is a grind and we accept that. That being said we don’t want to drag our encounters out any longer than necessary with such repetition. This is why people grind for the best gear to be as efficient as possible. Why LFG wants so many clears, certain experience, light levels and gear. And lastly it feels a little like a slap in the face. Anyone who put in time and effort to get any of these top tier gear only to see it all watered down. I am by no means a crucible god. I struggled many seasons until I finally hit fabled and got a bunch of these pinnacles in one shot. I only wanted them for PvE and now you say they’re “too good”. If this is the case then stop making these things such a trial to get. I can only imagine what the people who actually paid to get theses things are thinking. Ouch. As always I’ll see how this all plays out. Actually try and see how this all works in practice. If it becomes any worse or sucks any more enjoyment out of the game then it may be time for me to part ways with it. It’s a pretty big time sink to see your gear time and time again get watered down. I start to think about that when I go to boot the game up then all of the sudden I lose interest.

9 RepliesI JUST got Recluse and Redrix after a season long slog to inch my way up the glory ranks and get those 5 valor resets. I have not pre-ordered and will wait awhile to see how this pans out. Too many other games out there to keep sinking time into this one. Shame really as Destiny is a lot of fun but man is it annoying to finally get something and have the rug pulled out the moment I do.

Can I still get the pride emblem?

Q: Can the Wavesplitter be used as a musical instrument? A: The Wavesplitter was not designed to be a musical instrument. That said, we at Omolon are in the business of giving Guardians options, not taking them away.
3 RepliesEdited by icecoldkidd: 9/27/2019 3:37:26 PMSo let me get this straight and hopefully a Bungie Employee will answer:
Here’s the Destiny Dev Team on why we made this difficult decision and some information on upcoming perk changes. Destiny Dev Team: The decision to stop creating extremely powerful pinnacle weapons was made for a variety of reasons. The first was that the band in which “pinnacle” perk can exist is actually quite small, and most of them far exceeded the efficacy they should have been at. Another issue is that they cause problems in the player ecosystem, particularly in the case of the Crucible pinnacle weapons. Due to the nature of PvP and PvE, anything that works well in PvP is likely going be extremely effective in PvE as well. This forces players into the Crucible if they want the “best” loadouts. Even the title of “pinnacle” set a variety of unrealistic expectations. Rather than being the absolute height of Legendary power, they were supposed to be interesting novelties to chase. These problems became more pronounced the more of them we produced. In the end, we decided to move away from pinnacle weapons. If you managed to collect them all, we hope you enjoy them!
so since I failed to cheat in time to get Fabled and claim my weapons (because I will not pay for a carry/recovery to get them), I can no longer get said weapons. Glad I made the decision to abandon this game. Top 2% player (now down to 3%) Guardian Down. Edit: why not put in your TWaB instead information that is actually helpful such as - Guardian 1, Brave 1, Heroic 1 are FLOORs for clarification purposes or are Brave 1, Brave 2, Brave 3 Floors???

Why are there 2 different pinned TWAB posts?

Edited by blade329: 9/27/2019 3:16:10 PMI have to say I'm a bit disappointed at some of the changes. I just recently got my first pinnacle Crucible weapon and I was thirsty for more. Oh, well. I get why you are doing it, but I'm disappointed. And nerfing those great perks isn't making me jump for joy either. Again, I understand the reasoning. Power creep is a thing and one day we'll be able OHK bosses if things go unchecked. With the changes to the Crucible, you MUST make it more rewarding to play. Tokens and no pinnacle weapons will destroy the players desire to go there. I'm still looking forward to Shadowkeep and I'm committed. I like the whole dark haunting theme. Looking forward to armor 2.0.

Since you're changing the pinnacle weapons, does this mean you will also change the quest steps required to get them? Nerfing the weapons also means nerfing the quests, no? I haven't gotten any pinnacle and this would be the focus for next season but if you outright gut them, I hope you will change the requirements to get them as well.
