Can we please either have a completely brainfart safe tutorial for gambit or Insulting lines from the drifter so people stop ignoring the goddamn envoys???
Because it is ALWAYS painful to see that some blueberries just keep shooting on the boss when they are still alive.
I can even feel my IQ of 129 going slowly down to 0 by this amount of unawareness.
It is annoying and only sabotaging to have such "shit" teammates.
Edit: To all the people reposting "the drifter line is bugged": Yeah we know that. You said it like 30 times now. Don't treat us as we are a 8 year old.

3 RepliesIt really is amazing just how unaware some of our fellow guardians are. It's also still great to see them dump all their heavy and supers into the boss with zero primeval slayer buffs.

It wouldn’t matter and not because of the bug. Drifter right now immediately tells your entire team on a 7 second loop to drop what you’re doing and bank your motes and you will still have people slaying out for minutes regardless.

If its alive, SHOOOOOT IT. Is it that hard to wrestle the idea that although your ears heard the drifter tell you the envoys were down, that in fact your eyes are telling you they are not? Sadly, I don't think it is this bug that catches most people. It is the players that really have no idea what the mechanic is in the first place and regardless of a bugged voice line or not, they would attack the prime regardless. I see it in Gambit prime all the time, and there are stars above the envoys and yet, players will shoot the prime, with his shield and it says immune..

The line from the Drifter triggers whenever the Primeval Slayer buff activates. What Bungie forgot, is that you can get that buff simply by doing nothing, or even just by being second to summon the Primeval. It's a pathetic oversight more than anything.

The drifter has been bugged a LONG time and keeps telling me the envoys are down and to focus on the primeval...only neither envoy is dead .. over and over.

You don't even need to kill the Envoy in regular Gambit to slaughter the boss. Gambit prime, they take what, like 2 shotgun blasts to kill? Plus isn't it like a baked in rule since the dawn on online gaming that you can't count on random teammates for help with anything?

So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

1 ReplyIt doesn't help that on PS4 we have drifter saying envoy is out of the way, before they're both dead. I can't fault those people in those times. It's still more the other type though.

1 ReplyI haven't played Gambit for a couple weeks, but half the time when I did the Drifter would usually say, "the Primeval envoys are dead; now focus on the Primeval." However, the Envoys weren't actually dead.

The drifter also says that the envoys are dead and to focus on the boss when only one gets killed. But, at this point, people should know to kill the envoys.

What drives me crazy is when your team has enough motes to summon and you have those one or two people who just keep trying to kill everything and don't deposit
