Will the Menagerie be as popular after chest fix?
In today’s TWAB, it states that a July 9th patch will stop the Menagerie farm loop. Will you still be as eager to play it? I won’t. I thought it was awesome that you could farm runes then have 4 chances at trying to get your dream gun with a dream roll. How cool was that?
Shut down July 9th. Lame. It’s not like God Rolls were over flowing. It is still tough to get the gun you want. Now it will be back to near impossible and not worth the time spent.

I’ll be done at that point. Even when farming 99% of the drops are garbage. I seem to get a ton of armor with auto rifle, sword, and bow options and I don’t use any of these items. Currently I play to earn ruins. Once the fix is in place I’ll most likely be done for the season as I have the guns I want and the armor isn’t worth the grind.

I've got all I want from it. It's dead to me now so they can do what they want with it. Yes I'd still farm if the multiple boxes were there, but they won't be so I can't be arsed with it hunter and titan are finished, warlock... I just can't be arsed to do the lost sector endgame of Foresaken for a 3rd time. 1 was enough

Yeah i think ive had 50 austringers drop and only 1 was rampage + outlaw, i cant imagine running menagerie 50 times just for 1 ok rolled weapon.

2 RepliesBeen farming the austringer and I kept getting crappy rolls like zen moment...if I don’t get eye of the storm and rangefinder before this fix, I’m not gonna farm for it anymore, it’s just not worth it, you already have to hope to get the right runes from normal activities..and now this..

It will be for true fans of loot games. A guaranteed end game loot item of your choice for 10 minutes work is pretty generous. Most of you complaining about Bungie patching this, would be back here in a month complaining that there’s nothing left to do if they didn’t. This is just unbelievable to watch play out.

I am lucky, i have every roll from every gun that i want that is menagerie specific. I just need the swords and as soon as the boss dies im out, the glitch is fun and usefull until you dont need it any more and at that point you dont care anymore.

99% of the time I run it with 5 fandoms they all go to orbit after and don’t farm for the chest. I think it will be fine

Being able to pick the exact item PLUS it's masterwork was a brilliant move and I don't think people would have considered it a waste of time at all getting one drop from the final chest. Everyone doing it must realise it's an exploit. Enjoy it while it lasts because let's be honest, once people have their God rolls and triumphs there will be little incentive to keep running it imo.

Probs not. It isn't really [i]that[/i] much fun, IMO. There would be no way I'd play this for no reward, however a good PVP mode I would. If PVP could be fixed, there's way more longevity in the randomness of other humans. At the moment though, it's crappy connections and playing experience is marred by this and a few things.

5 RepliesAfter 3 horde mode type activities in the past 3 seasons (Forge, reckoning and menagerie) I think it's time to make the call that this type of content is so stale. Give me new areas and secrets to discover, new vendors to meet, better reason to be in the world's and discover or farm mods or gear. New pvp maps, new strikes, new challenging modifiers. I guess shadow keep couldn't come quicker
