Stop playing Iron Banner NOW - You are wasting your time!
Wow, just wow! The new Quest steps introduced for earning armour are near impossible!
At first I thought it was a good idea, after an hour or so the 1st quest was done and I claimed my boots. Another hour or so and I claimed my gauntlets. Five hours later yes FIVE hours later I am less than 10% complete on step three.
By my calculations that means it should take me 50 hours to complete this part of the quest! Oh well, its a good job crucible quests (like pinnacle weapon quests) complete account wide so once you unlock them on one character they unlock on all of them. WAIT, WHAT? The Iron Banner quests are unique to each character!!! So I have to do this THREE chuffin times???
Out of curiosity, anyone know what steps four & five are? Not sure I can be bothered to find out myself!!
Guess I am never going to have the time to unlock this gear so really, what is the chuffin point of Iron Banner? ANSWER - THERE IS NO CHUFFIN POINT!!!

1 ReplyI almost done with em. I didn’t know they were hard. I’m at 60% on ability. So basically gotta rely on my 2 supers I get ever match.

Iron Banner has effective matchmaking, allowing a weak player like me to avoid the company of Luna-wielding sweats. 4. You don't get to tell me what I can and can't play.

I have no interest at all in playing iron banner. They finally got around to adding enhanced perks to ib armor? Too bad the quest for the armor is gruelling and at the end of the day the armor is just a reskin. I could do menagerie and get non reskinned armor that can also roll with enhanced perks and I would get a lot more armor from it than I would from iron banner. Plus with menagerie you can pick and choose the resistance/mobility/recovery spec and even the elemental resistance if you care about that. Total waste of time, I wont even bother.

Outside of lag it can be fun seeing how players with thumbs approach certain map etc. I wouldn’t like it all the time but it is a nice change to the format. Just need to remember that getting stomped happens and I brush it off.

I just play for fun. The armor and gear is kind of substandard for my taste and really serves no IB purpose that any other gear can do. If it was activity specific?, Then I might care. Otherwise, its just more shards.

3 RepliesPeople focus on quest steps too much...just pick it up, play the game, and you will finish it eventually. I find that when I try to do specific quests steps, I play worse and it takes me longer than if I just played my style but to each his own I suppose.

4 RepliesI'm having fun just playing. The quest is taking care of itself meantime. I'm halfway through step 3... Picked up a nice Crimil's Dagger and a few rebukes along the way so all good.

You're right, you should be able to do the quest on one character and get get an armor set for all three lol
