Did a little SoO today and instead of previous years new campaigns to run, it's another season of...
Go to Nessus and kill Cabal. Now melee Vex. Now go run this lost sector.
People can say what they want about Curse of Osiris, but at least it was something new and different and I'd take that story over the nothing that exists in Y2 any day.

In previous years we played 3 story missions then waited for more dlc, between ttk and roi we did nothing, i’m looking forward to the next major DLC however the season pass I think is a good bridge between major expansions. Frankly I don’t want to pay $40 for 2 Osiris /war mind style DLC‘s

3 RepliesEdited by The Oracle: 6/5/2019 3:35:41 PMSeriously confuses me how people don’t understand that the annual pass updates are endgame based only after it’s been explained time and time again... However, I do believe the September expansion Shadowkeep that will be revealed on Thursday will update the narrative and bring a new one. I presume that’s then gonna be followed by another annual pass in which hopefully they’ll be a few additional stuff like story missions and strikes and PvP maps which I think these last few updates have really lacked in

Pfft I enjoyed the 35 bucks I spent on it. Forges gave me an option for weapons I needed Drifter add some decent lore and armor for my warlock. As for the last one. Not sure yet havent had alot of time to play. Only been in the crucible.

Edited by michael: 6/6/2019 3:12:18 AMI am happy with less story missions to be honest, just more of the same mundane narrative with no substance that bores me to death. But I would be happy with more content in general with each dlc.

10 RepliesDid you actually finish the quest? Because that part is short. Then you get the actual menagerie, an activity more fun than any other season pass activity. More fun than any other endgame activity period really. It's better than EP, Blind Well, Gambit, Forges, Strikes, Nightfalls, Reckoning, whatever CoO tried to give us, anything. The only better activity would be raids, and those can't be done without a premade fireteam. If you are complaining that menagerie requires you to do other activities to get menagerie rewards, well that's your problem. If you have literally any activity you enjoy, you can do that for menagerie rewards. If you like strikes, you can do that. If you like Gambit, you can do that. If you like crucible, do that. Then use the runes you got. If you didn't get enough runes, guess what? The barge allows you to spend glimmer for imperials and runes. How do you get that glimmer? By doing absolutely anything in the game.

5 RepliesThey said from the beginning the annual pass was to focus on the end game. I am sure the fall dlc will add more to the story.
-
2 RepliesBungie literally said before releasing the annual pass that none of the seasons would be particularly story focused. Why are you upset?
-
I disagree from what I have seen the pass style based content structure has been healthy for the game. Regular content with a focused theme has done well. Yeah yeah nore strikes and maps of course but I feel d2 is only getting better.
-
20 RepliesPeople are quick to forget the entire year of NOTHING after TtK leading up to RoI. At least this way we get that year mostly filled and now have the new story expansion in Sep with Shadowkeep to look forward too.
-
The Menagerie is better than The Reckoning.
-
This is a false comparison. The choices on reality are either the taken spring (nothing) or season pass.
-
1 ReplyThey will. The season pass was mostly to introduce activities. They’ll come out with more story dlc
-
2 RepliesI just want to continue the story from when Cayde passed. Anyone else wants know wtf is going on with Ikora and Zavala? I think a good balance of both continuing story and loot chasing can be done.
-
3 RepliesPlease. No one among my clan or friends have the urge to replay story missions. Theres no farmable loot. Im willing to bet majority of you never touch story missions again after 1 playthrough.

Idk, I’ve enjoyed the annual pass, other than the annoying tasks which must be completed between every forge activation, and the fact that I can’t skip the story missions and quests that unlock lategame content on subsequent characters. Once should be enough, for story missions and things like that.

Lucky for you, Shadowkeep is getting announced tomorrow.
-
Same!

So I left D2 in Y1 October and came back during Forsaken. I had to drag my characters through CoO and Warmind. Heeeeeeeelllllll no to CoO being better than what we've gotten during Y2. Dragging my characters through that to get to Forsaken was mind numbing and boring as hell. Warmind was better, but CoO can go get -blam!-ed.
-
Yep. They keep introducing new play modes which is fine and all, but the core remains the same, repetitive mess. I prefer the old system to the new one.

7 RepliesEdited by OBI-SWEDE KENOBI: 6/6/2019 4:57:39 AMThis is Bungies Dev-Team *in the meeting room* D1- Let's create a new planet and add more fun to the game and give variety to strikes, crucible, NF etc. by giving the community new maps. D2- I don't know....to much work. Let's just put a barge on Nessus and paint it gold. The suckers will buy into that. D1- Fine!, good idea. What about the challenges like in the Menagerie, let's work on making it creative, challenging and put some effort and thought behind it. D2- I got my pilates now, just nerf their supers and weapons and we are all good! And yeah, make them pay for shitty ornaments from Eververs so we get something for all our efforts.

Season of The Drifter was way worse dude. Reckoning: TRASH. Gambit Prime: TRASH. The Lore: Good.

While I agree that I would like to see a little more substance in the story behind everything, and a feeling of progression in the Destiny universe overall, including any kind of story campaign would have a huge impact on the amount of other content we receive in each dlc drop. Story missions are ok and can be neat the first time you play through them, but after that they are neither rewarding nor very fun/interesting, and so I think it best to have more events like the menagerie than more story missions.
-
3 RepliesI’m so happy for a new raid. I haven’t had chance to grind much but can’t wait to see what it’s like. Hope there are some strikes and other stuff to grind also.
-
4 RepliesI'll agree with what you're saying about preferring more story to more activities to do but at the same time dont credit CoO with anything good...the only two good things i liked out of the season was actually having a different voice actor aside from nolan to be our ghost, even if sagira was our ghost temporarily. The other good thing was the infinity forge, even if it was the only endgame thing we could really do.

5 RepliesWell, that's the stupidest thing I've read all day. Curse of Osiris was literally microwaved dog shit.
