Came back to play new content. But then we get forced to play the same content we've been playing for months before getting anything new.
This annual pass is not working for me. Seems all we do every season is play the same rubbish over and over again to gain new access to 1 new activity.
I'm out. The content I've paid for is coming to an end. And it has been my least favourite Destiny experience yet.

Thankfully, I currently have very little gaming time available, went to the Dreaming City for the first time a few days ago lol. Glad to see Bungie finally made a choice in the direction the game is taking in opting for grind and MMORPG elements which seems to please the vast majority. That said I mourn the action FPS game which is obviously not the direction the game is taking. Selfishly speaking I'm not enthused but I get that is what the majority wants, the majority likes the forever grind and spreadsheets on how to bejewel you chalice, and running errands over an over. There are still some activities I can enjoy in the game without feeling I'm playing it all wrong but that narrow path is getting narrower with each update and at some point I'll be missing weapons/perks/etc. to even feel competitive anywhere. [spoiler] I may not be the sharpest guardian in the Tower but honestly completely lost in how to bejewel Chalice. Progression seems uncannily slow. There's nothing intuitive to me in the game anymore, everything needs an explainer from YTubers or Reddit and that's not the way I want to spend my time gaming. [/spoiler]

Get ready to pull out your wallet to give Bungo even more money for the DLC you should have got. On top of that, everything you did in Y1 is gonna matter even less come September 17, as well as the Eververse ramping up in the greed department (already happening) in order to support a shitty free to play model. There has never been a better time to quit playing folks. To the BDF who I'm sure are just waiting to pounce on this post, I flip you the bird, you can sit on it and spin.

In the past month I’ve seen my entire hunter load out nerfed and an extremely boring DLC drop. You want my money, assholes? Do your damn jobs and show me something that will make me care to log in.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I can only seem to get red runes to drop from strikes when they should always at least drop once during a Menagerie completion, but whatever. And is it just me or should completions net you Imperials, because timegating it behind limited weekly bounties and weirdly specific Triumphs is kind of ridiculous. I just want the hand cannon, but I probably won't even get the chance until next week when the game should have the option for me to pursue it at my own discretion, not be gated off from even trying because there just simply isn't a way for me to get more Imperials without specifically making a team to pursue boring as -blam!- Triumphs. Not my idea of fun, let me tell you that. Options are good, and the game isn't giving enough of them where it matters, imo.

29 RepliesI... disagree in that this annual pass was bad. We actually got a lot of new content. Compared to year 2 destiny 1, this was MUCH better. During the great drought we got nothing. At. All. There's new game modes, a bunch of new content, new guns to grind for. All of that delivered this year. Are there things that need fixed? Yes. Curse of Osiris, dark below, house of wolves, warmind. None of those really lasted...and actually cost us more. It's putting on blinders to think there is nothing to do. And I believe that there are some very unrealistic expectations on what a pass should have. You can't drop a forsaken sized expansion every few months. That is too much. But something like dark below isn't enough. Destiny is all about replayability. It ain't about always new new new.

7 RepliesAfter a break, due to sheer boredom of playing the same content, til my brain leaked out of my ears...... I re insert my destiny disc (yeah I have a disc, get over it) Saw the new content is basically the old content with a 30 minute menagerie added. Removed disc. Destiny is dead to me atm, don't want it to be, and it's all I usually play, but it's a fkin stone cold corpse. Think D3 will be my next serious interest in the franchise, unless bunghole come up with some serious new content, because until then my wallet stays closed. What a pile of shit this turned out to be!!!

The new system of annual pass and its "calendar" is funny, people agree to pay for content and when released to the public bungie decide when the players play by gradually putting the content to artificially lengthen the content. Recycling content and making long, boring and tedious adventures for virtually zero rewards, that's bungie.

5 RepliesI stopped playing when they released the forges. Logged to be told to go do the same old bollocks I've been doing for months. Next Dlc was gambit and I can't stand that so didn't bother and this one I had second thoughts to come back but I see nothing has changed.

15 Replies1000000% Agree!!! I’ve been playing Destiny since day one D1. But, for the life of me can’t get into this whole annual/season pass thing. It’s completely killed the fun in the game. I use to get excited and looked forward to each DLC, wondering what world we were going to explore, what enemies we would encounter and the weapons we’d earn. Now it’s just quest step after quest step after quest step.... unimaginative, repetitive and boring. I can’t stand annual/season pass content concept. I miss story missions, cut scenes and story telling.... I have this season pass a go only because I paid for it. I’m out, good luck ya all.... 5 years and this is the end of the road for me. Enjoy to each of their own...

Plays assassin's Creed You know guys.... Every new area I go to I have to do the same tasks, find the tallest point to survey the area, stalk a guy, shank him then ask for information, kill a high priority Target and caress him for 5 minutes and read him his last rites...
