Hand cannons are unforgiving when using a controller on PC, to the point of almost certain failure, buff on PC and console please

2 RepliesEdited by Peter, Kell of Cottontail: 5/13/2019 2:22:52 PMThe issue is the 30 frames per second. Everything in the game is there to actually assist a player. P2P networking + 30 frames per second = ghost bullets. Bungie knows this and tries to combat said issues. Next you have blue tooth controllers and tvs that makes for varying latencies. There is more hand holding in this game over punishments. The human eye sees at over 240 frames per second. In the game.. you have only 30 frames per second to see your target and shoot. If the networking is not aligned fully, you can shoot at a target standing still and not hit them because per the connection.. you could be a frame off from the opponent. Ie ghost bullets. The better the frames per second, the less issues with ghost bullets. Add in the rng mechanics, this is how players die past cover a lot on console in pvp.

15 RepliesHand canons don't have bloom on pc... Even if you are using a controller 🤔 ..... It's not bloom 🤔
-
7 RepliesThere should be no aim assist on PC, imo.
-
29 RepliesAre you playing on a TV where input lag is a factor? I play on a gaming monitor and bloom isn't an issue for me
-
No thanks. Instead... Drastically reduce the range do 180 RPM handcannons.
-
3 RepliesJust get better ???
-
And then nerf the fk out of range to balance them.
-
Where's option 4 to reduced bloom instead of buffing it on console ?
-
Then make all pulses have no recoil like they do on PC? Seem fair?
-
Handcannons SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FIRE FASTER THAN INTENDED. If the RoF is too fast that it leads to spamming then what should happen is very simple - Change the RoF and do not allow the player to shot the gun at a faster fire rate. The guns animation should also be in toon with its fire rate. When i shot a pulse it kicks, when i shot again it kicks.. a HC should kick but if the player taps the trigger to fast the gun does not shot. Do not "Pace your shots" the game should simple not allow you to shot. Its that simple.

I just wish hand cannons would bugger off to be honest. Too may people have boners for them.
-
Buff hand cannon bloom? You mean nerf?
-
Buff handcannon bloom? You mean nerf or tweak?
-
You mean remove bloom, reduce recoil, flinch and increase stability on controller, right?
-
Please can you amend your post to mention recoil. As a few people keep posting and getting ignored, bloom is not what most people think it is. It is a annoyance and occasionally causes problems and wtf moments but the real issue is recoil. The huge recoil and time taken to reset aim after firing is due to recoil NOT bloom which simply adds rng and reduces accuracy on shot spamming or in air. Almost Every single thread I read about hand cannon problems on controller are people talking about recoil and calling it bloom.

3 RepliesYou are kakashi, shouldnt you just use kamui to make them go wherever?

5 RepliesBloom has nothing to do with range. Why do people think that if it were removed hand cannons would be snipers again? They added damage drop off. You don't want spam fire to be an issue? The problem is 180s can fire at their max fire rate and still hit the target. Compare that to a 150 where the user has to "pace their shots." The guy with the 150 then has to fire his hand cannon at a very slow rpm while the guy with the 180 can just tear him up. Remember even with spam fire the person would have to aim still. The bullets wouldn't magically hit. And remember body shot damage is lower in D2. That means precision shots are crucial to getting the best TTK. A removal of bloom wouldn't make hand cannons have a TTK of .5 seconds. It might make them kill slightly quicker. But if a hand cannon has a TTK of 1 second it would help that weapon compete better since average competitive TTK is at .8 seconds.

2 RepliesNice double post.
-
2 RepliesLol, you need to cover your tracks a bit. Only stupid people get caught. I just caught you, how are you going to make 2 posts that contradict each other, then go bump them back to back?
-
4 RepliesIt's not bloom. It's universally large recoil that makes it difficult to aim on controller. You think it's bloom, because you miss. It's not your fault you miss, it's because your gun bounces like a bull. Lower recoil on all hc archetypes, and "bloom" will go away. I am on board with more damage drop off to compensate, but we need less recoil.
-
2 RepliesNo. Hawkmoon D1 will never be a thing again. If bloom is reduced or removed, Hand cannons will utterly dominate. They already basically do that anyway. Definitely not needed and you're asking for a blanket buff the the strongest weapon class in the game. Zero logic
-
Hand cannons are already meta, how bout we nerf 180s bloom to put it back on an even playing field again?
-
2 RepliesHand cannons just need to be 4 shots to the head, 2 for (Kill clip and Rampage x2 +) that would be the trade off.
-
2 RepliesHave you seen pc usage stats? You're talking out your arse man! % of all kills on pc, this is ALL guns Ace of Spades 45% Last Word 22% Recluse 21% Hammerhead 10% Bygones 9% Blast Furnace 5% Luna 2% Not Forgotten 0.7% % of kills on console Luna's Howl 33% Not forgotten 22% Recluse 21% Dust Rock 14% Wardcliff 9% Blast Furnace 3% Trust 1.7% Bloom on pc is almost nothing, bloom on console ruins all handcannons other than 180s.

20 RepliesEdited by X-LoganX: 5/7/2019 7:39:50 PMSorry but you can't remove Bloom on Hit Scan weapons. They will be TOO accurate. This is precisely why they enabled it in D1. Eyesluna could literally map you.

Console says you don’t know Bloom until you’ve played here.
