Absolute garbage and just a way to milk us for our time. Cores or no Cores, it sucks. You can’t use three quarters of your armor because of infusion. I hope these posts keep coming until Bungie actually makes a fix. They sure are quick to fix an issue when it benefits them, wonder why it takes them months to make a fix that benefits us? Shady.
Edit: You know, I made this post when I wasn’t necessarily hurting for cores, but at the time I was trying to level up armor and more than once I was going to have to stop what I was doing and go run around multiple planets for materials. Then I master worked one piece of armor and a gun and the core thing resurfaced. Time, too much time spent on this infusion system, time away from the core game, which then sucks any motivation to continue.

1 ReplyYou should not question why the infusion system exist. The questtion you should ask is: "why do we have a timegating mechanism that is disguised as a leveling system?"

You can’t use three quarters of your armor because of infusion.
How does infusion stop you from using armor?

3 RepliesI can understand glimmer and legendary shards, and even planetary materials since this was the system back in D1 but these Enhancement Cores just suck!

11 RepliesGlimmer, legendary shards and planetary materials are three resources that a player gets by just playing the game and it happens without actively having to go do XYZ to get them using these things for Infusion makes sense as its something the player gets for their time investment without it feeling like a hindrance for example the Division 2, Anthem, Warframe and any open world game all have crafting or infusion type systems that use resources the player gets by simiply playing... The issue with the Infusion cores is simple they are not awarded for simply playing they are a brick wall that the player most spend time (alot of) doing things they don't want to do to get them to get the meaningful feeling of progression Bungie keeps talking about... BUT when you have spent 5-6 hours doing things you don't enjoy to get enough cores then that feeling is not one of meaningful progression but instead why the hell am I even playing this game... In a nut shell the infusion system should not be an endgame RNG based system in the same category as finding an exotic which it currently is... It should be a system that fits into the natural flow of the game and not a road block that keeps popping up and requiring a detour every week.

Or you could just get a nice set of dreaming city gear and bring that up to max light every expansion without cores whatsoever. THEN go around infusing everything.
-
1 ReplyYour edit is the problem I see. I font want to run around for crap to play. It just always feels like the game wants to hold you back from playing what you want. There is enough to do noiw that we don't need the power level and infusion grind.
-
I can use all of my armor whenever I want. I think you're just playing the game wrong
-
8 RepliesI really don’t want this game to be dumb down anymore than it is...I bet these guys want core welfare 10 cores a week for doing absolutely nothing....
-
I noticed after my hunter. Warlock was #1, then came the hunter #2 and I started to resent the cores. I play quite a bit and only ever managed 100 cores max and only infused gear at 700 light (minus a few exotics that were needed on the raid of course) I haven’t finished my titan and have zero master worked armour for the fridge wearing shoulder charge scrub.

1 ReplyI think people are actually going to be surprised how much the gunsmith bounties help. Time will tell and until then, I expect more complaints but it is what it is.

2 RepliesEdited by Jatmahl: 4/13/2019 1:34:12 PMI bet they are going to keep it until the fall dlc. Probably one of the selling points will be a "new infusion system". Kinda pointless since the people who already left arent going to come back after being shit on for all of forsaken.

Ummmm spider sells planetary materials... go stock pile up. As far as cores go Hawthorne gives you a guranteed 21 a week from just casually playing...... add in all the other plethora of sources for cores and there is 0 reason they should be holding you back.
-
2 RepliesLol it's totally fine, learn how to play properly 👍
-
21 RepliesThe entire infusion system is.....
just fine, easily attainable items for the entire process
-
huh? do you play the game for 1 hour per month? You are not doing it right if you are struggling with legendary shards and glimmer lmao.
-
1 ReplyThis game has like 3 armor sets. How are you running out of cores infusing armor?
-
Edited by TonnoSenpai: 4/13/2019 10:06:35 PMnah infusion system totally fine
-
1 Replyhow can you not use your armor? that is the absolute easiest to infuse for a few glimmer only. you get the exact same drops. not to mention there is only one activity above 650 so just why are you unable to use your armor? don't know how to put it on?

1 ReplyIs this post bandwagoning? I feel like this post is bandwagoning.
