Incase you missed this nugget, there is apparently another community summit coming that of course is streamers/content creators only...... AGAIN.......
Once again this proposed summit is to take place March 27-29. To discuss Season 7 and other future content..
Here is what I expect will be the first question the streamers/YouTubers will ask .... Future if Trials of The Nine/Osiris?
Not the hot button topics that populate this feedback forum such as Enhancement Core/ Infusion System Issues, the latest NERF( UNCALLED FOR BTW) patch, the OP Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten, PvP steps in quest lines(cuz Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten dominant crucible), and my personal favorite RECYCLED CONTENT FROM D1....
I personally don't see a point to have a D3 or expansion beyond the season content. D2 has been a utter disappointment that just can't seem to get anything right.
What say you community, is D2 dead or dying?
-
To be fair, a good number of PvP players would ask about Trials first thing to see if there would be more coming to their side of the game.
-
The funny thing is Bungie already knows what the issues are and how to fix them. Most likely the summit will be a collaboration of Bungie and streamers on how to best market the same bullshit we will be getting next year but in a more inviting way to entice people with mild addictions to buy it again. The mild addictions part does about 90% of the heavy lifting though so it will probably be a short meeting.

Worked so well last time

1 ReplyIt’s a good idea in theory but ends up an echo chamber or circle jerk. Streamers aren’t loyal enough to bungie or the game. They will only push their own agendas. If they can steer the conversation towards viewers and money for them, they will. All that will come is more nerfs to warlocks and hunters, and better titan exotics.

167 RepliesShould we invite some no name players at random to this event or content creators with a huge following who can easily spread the news of changes and updates coming to the game? By that logic, highschool reporters should be invited to presidential adresses instead of real news channel reporters.

My body is ready for more disappointment.

3 RepliesI say, what is the problem? Even if they do and it goes this way or that someone will be to blame. But not the community. Nothing has been its fault. Why doesn't Bungie just make the game they want us to play and either we play or not? Is D2 dead? For some. Did PvP ruin it? Nah PvP just isn't fun. PvE is also lackluster. So basically both sides had a hand in it. Do we need a D3? Nah, never wanted a D2. Would have preferred a more linear approach like Warframe story line. Just keep adding. So all in all does matter if they have a summit? No. We will play what we want and the forums will complain about what they want. Never ending cycle.
-
I'd say Gladd is a pretty good voice for the PvE/Raid side. The guy knows his shit and probably knows a thing or two on how can we get a better raid experience in game.
-
2 RepliesI'd argue trials of the nine not being there is a bigger issue than enhancement cores. You know? Isn't a large piece of content more important than you not wanting to grind cores for 30 minutes?
-
Look on the bright side, we may get another annual pass 💩
-
Sorry I really don't get it. Assuming you play mostly pve based on not caring bout trials coming back. You're complaining about recycled content but you're content to run the same strike and/or raid over and over and over again? Having to do PvP steps in quests? lol how dare Bungie make you play the whole game. PvP players could say the same about having to do pve content. I understand your frustration with enhancement cores but that is only a small issue considering PvP players bought this game with end game PvP content in it, not the shamble of what the competitive play list is. Also who would you have Bungie invite to this conference? How would they rank who to invite if only judging off in game stats? They invite the content creators because they hear most about what the community want, not just a small group of people who only play with their clan members and only hear what people in their bubble want

35 RepliesThe reality is the game doesn’t need a summit it needs a survey. Bungie can send me an email evey time they want to sell something, they can create a survey as long or short as they want with demographic questions and get good feedback from the players if that’s what they want.
-
9 RepliesPosts like this really irritate me. If you think d2 is failure and you don't enjoy it, then why the hell are you even here? Not saying it doesn't deserve feedback, but exclaiming it's a failure or you don't enjoy it at all, or it's a shit game gives you absolutely no credibility here on the forum.
-
8 RepliesI don't know about you, but D2 seems pretty alive to me. It's just the forums that're filled with salty whiners, not the actual game.
-
😂 BUNGIE is like that drunk chick at a party who wants all the attention and will do anything to get it. BUNGIE = THOT

1 ReplyPeople here do not possess critical thinking skills
-
2 RepliesI won’t be attending. Luke and I don’t see eye to eye on the direction the franchise has taken.
-
I'd avoid inviting people who have time and rely on gaming for living, playing 8 hours a day and perhaps look for a more balanced cross section of players, that includes casuals. Warmind seemd to have so much promise, yet pandered to the people who played and reached max level within a couple of weeks. It was like asking Speedrunners to give their thoughts on how they could improve Super Mario Bros.
-
7 RepliesFor crucible players, the future of trials is important. The devs have abandoned PvP.
-
1 ReplyDon't worry, streamers are the "best and brightest," so they clearly know what the dwindling population wants.
-
4 RepliesThey missed the mark pretty bad with the way they're handling the Annual pass. If what we have now is a result of the last streamer pow-wow then yes, the game is dying.
-
2 RepliesSounds great. Bungie does refer to them as the ‘best and brightest’, after all. I hope they keep enjoying the game when they’re the only ones left playing.
-
5 RepliesI saw an add recently 165.00 dollars to get thorn. I’m sure it will be all about the mighty dollar. It’s an embarrassment to gaming. Bungie needs new leadership and to disregard the piranhas. Instead they invite them to dinner. They are betting on the stupidity of the public again I’m afraid and they’re probably right judging by how many got the season pass. I can see it now gjallarhorn on the cover of D3 dedicated servers. Public buys in and are locked out. I’m calling it public will remain with ankles firmly gripped.
-
5 RepliesThe reason why average gamers arent involved in the summit is because streamers/ content creaters and Bungie have the same interest, profit. Last time Bungie had the community this upset they called a summit and the community fell in line behind the streamers/ content creaters. They are simply trying to pull the same trick twice.
-
Who else would they send, you? So you can cry and throw a tantrum like a child in a supermarket? Lol
-
You're not the type I'd want to go either. Negative Nancy much?
