If it's true that they are doing another one, it's a bit hilarious that they still can't figure out their own game or make it work properly. They still have to bribe all the lifeless streamers to do it for them.

The status (or lack thereof) of Trials of the Nine is a valid concern since its absence started when Forsaken dropped, and Bungie already addressed this in TWaB about two months ago saying they had an alternate 'Trials' in the works. Streamers want to have a high-tier content outlet to service there day-in and day-out 'job' to keep the views and subscriptions coming, Trials is a good outlet for that.... even though the Competitive playlist exists. I would prefer having the focus being on the future of Destiny 2 after the Annual Pass content has run its course this coming September and the direction they take with the game. Also, factions like New Monarchy, Dead Orbit and Future War Cult need to make a permanent return.

Of course, people would question Bungie about the future of Trials, it's the best way to make it possible to play the game without getting wrecked by Lunas and Not Forgottens every time you go into Crucible. As for the other topics, they will get to asking those, it's not like they want the game to be worse. The point of the summit is to give representatives of the community, often creators and streamers with a lot of viewers and supporters, to give suggestions on how to make the game better, and to discuss the future of the game. Forums are here for everyone to pitch in to give feedback, which we have done, and the summits are meant to be rarer events which a select few would be going to as representatives of the community.

Tbh the streamers I watch, datto, say no to rage and aztecross, all share my opinions and are very constructive delivering them. I shudder at the thought of picking a random forum dweller or blueberry to represent my thoughts and feelings in the game. Although I also consider myself inside the 'minority' of players that I see people complain about being catered to.

[Community wall rant incoming. Find a comfy chair and get a nice cup of coffee because this is quite the wall.] These forums are just ridiculous. Complain and moan about streamers despite the solid fact that streamers indeed have their own fanbase and it's easier and logical to invite a select amount of people who have gathered info from their personal sub communities, a community that plays the same game just like the people on these forums, vs reaching out to random joe on the internet. To assume those part of said sub communities don't share the same plights as people on these forums and that streamers dont bring talking points based on feedback in their community is just being close-minded and it's akin to plugging your ears and saying I'm not listening. The forum then whines and moan their feedback isn't being heard. Dmg states they pull feedback from the bungie.net, Twitter and other forums no doubt reddit is included, even listed some of the hot topics in the community such as lunas/nf and enhancement cores. Still whines they arent listening or being heard, despite the obvious thing that just because dmg and cozmo relay feedback that doesn't mean things will definitely change. They aren't the devs of the game. Not everything will change because of community feedback, and some things will change despite the community not asking, such as weapon and class adjustments as internal data of what's popular exists. "But combo bungie should explain their reason for things!" Oh they have, saw a post about enhancement cores in which it was either dmg or cozmo that explained that cores have been as they have since bungie wants infusion to be meaningful. Guess what? That response was met with vile responses and insults. Heck any attempt at giving insight or simple things as saying they're passing info along or congratulating someone for completing the raid is usually met with childish behavior and insults. If bungie can expect responses such as these anytime they even interact with the forums, I'm not surprised they arent everywhere. And sure there are constructive posts out there, but its surrounded by a sea of negativity. Oh and bungie only listens to streamers? Yes of course. I mean only streamers complained about too many specials in the crucible in d1 and not enough primary fights, too many abilities being spammed, firebolt burning people out with no effort at all, tlw and thorn being an issue along with certain subclasses and other weapons, hard to acquire exotics, complained about the lack of ingame lore and a multitude of other issues. Then D2 rolls around and i guess only streamers complained about double primaries, complained about teamshooting, complained about the game not having longevity since exotics rained from the sky and there were no random rolls and it was easy to level up, complained about the lack of special weapons, lack of 6v6, lack of collections, nova warp being absurd, one eyed mask, wormhusk, abilities feeling weak, the list just goes on. I've been a heavy user of these forums since the launch of D1 and i have seen forum posts about all the topics i mentioned above from this same community that claims they arent being heard. And who'd of guessed it, a lot of the things i listed were addressed at one point or another. Heck the most recent example is the introduction of the power surge bounties to speed up leveling if people want to try newer content, this after the various forum complaints about the black armory level requirements. But despite that fact people come to the conclusion they aren't being heard? Just because bungie isnt bending over to every request? Do i think bungie should be more transparent? Of course, polls would be useful, more in depth details on why things are the way they, etc. But at the same time I'm not going to pretend to be blind, and be oblivious to the various changes they have introduced as a reflection of what the destiny community as a whole have requested. Doing abcde but not xyz isn't a valid reason to claim that bungie isn't listening to the community. Listening and hearing doesn't guarantee that wanted actions will be made. At the end of the day bungie is still the dev and creator of the game and they still have their vision on how they want their product to be. Yes I'm sure they have the records of how the game is performing. And lastly no, i wouldnt be upset if bungie decided next month that 100 cores can be purchased from spider for 100 legendaries, that exotics were raining from the sky, every weekly milestone would gurantee a drop 10 levels higher and functioned as a knockout system for your slots etc. I'd play, get the things i want and probably move to a different game afterwards if i became bored after acquiring what i wanted. Just wanted to voice my opinion. [End of rant thats been building up over 5 years now.]
