Getting tired of power level increases!
I'm really getting tired of spending so much time/effort focused on getting my characters' PLs up. There are other things I'd like to do... but now see the next 5-8 weeks of my spare (gaming) time doing almost nothing but playing with weapons and armor I'd otherwise not use while constantly seeking more powerful gear so that I can later infuse my favorite gear again up to the new PL cap. It got real old last time; this time it's painful.

I just stick with my 650 gearsets (everything masterworked and/or hard grinded like my favourit bow with archers tempo & rampage) and carry the higher power level stuff in my inventory until I get at least something with a significant increase to infuse. So.... for me nothing changes in style or playstyle... but its pretty annoying, for sure.

1 ReplyThey have already addressed this issue, they already told people they are aware of the issue and have a fix for it but they are waiting to implement the fix until the next update this upcoming week.

2 RepliesThe constant increases are the direct result of player feedback saying we wanted the game to feel fresh and like we were constantly progressing. I understand your plight but look at it this way... You've got something to look forward to.

Got a prime engram 4 hours ago and it was 680...increased my power since then...prime engram dropped at 679. Bungie this is broken like 😂😂

I know, Light level increases must still be bugged atm. My last 2 weekly milestones have been only +1. Really annoying!!

You bring up a good point. It makes sense to make us rank up when dropping a DLC with NEW story missions, destinations, strikes, PVP maps, etc., but with these half ass updates there’s no reason to make us rank up. It’s nothing but busy work and it’s getting really annoying.

1 ReplyIt's not the increase that's the problem its the rubbish way we are forced to do it, you have to do this or that old content - i would like to be able to level wherever and whenever i like just from loot drops (like 99% of other games of this type)

I personally would rather an xp based level up then all this infusion based bollox, would solve the infusion core problems, people would still be able to grind to level up, stick with their load outs, any new gear would require you to reach a set level like the road to level 20, would basically be like elder scrolls system

IMO, the problem is not power level increase. The problem is doing the same activities to power up, whilst struggling with enhancement cores.

I'd be fine with power level increases if there were new things to do to increase power level, not just the same old things we've been grinding forever now.

Exactly this. Makes the game no fun at all if you like build diversity and the look of your character.

Well the beauty of human beings is they can make choices so if this game isnt for you maybe make a choice to do something else. If you dont enjoy something anymore why continue to play it ? Its supposed to be fun and enjoyable but regardless what Bungie does its completely up to you if you enjoy it or not.
