I'm a fanboy of the Destiny franchise. You know, the SUPER annoying guy that loves the game and usually defends Bungie until death... the guy that may or may not have a Destiny related tattoo and definitely has a bumper sticker on his car.
And I have to say I'm rather disappointed. This game has lost its appeal.
For most of the previous season, I found myself logging in just to grind (I don't usually mind grinding, but it shouldn't be the ONLY thing to do). And now I haven't even logged in to see what's up with the season that just started. I almost did... I opened the app and got into the load screen, but then I couldn't press the X button. The boredom was just too powerful and I powered off my console.
C'mon, Bungie! I love you guys! Please work towards making this better or, at the very least, please work towards making Destiny 3 something that's freaking amazing.
I want to play with you... I miss you... I miss looking forward to logging in... I miss the anticipation of a new update and new things to do.
FIX YOUR SHIT!
EDIT: everyone commenting that I need to go play something else or take a break is missing the point. I understand that there are other games out there and I have been playing those other games to fill in my time: Red Dead, Anthem, FFIX (on Switch), Pokemon and Smash Brothers just to name a few... but that's not the point of this post. The point is that I miss playing Destiny and I wish it felt like Bungie was at least trying, but it doesn't feel like they really care about all of us, anymore.

1 ReplySameeeeeeeeee..... I feel bad for leaving my clan behind but I don't have any motivation.
-
1 ReplyIf you got tired of the game already you were never a true fanboy to begin with
-
2 RepliesYou gotta be shitting me.... the new engrams to help you level up faster are dropping blue. I don’t even know what’s going on anymore *smh*
-
11 RepliesDoesn't help the new stuff they add isn't all that interesting. Gambit Prime is just a slightly better Gambit, and the gear is more or less just reused assets on already meh looking armour. As a whole, the new update is really meager. Couldn't even bother with Scourge of the Past with Black Atmory because Anarchy is mostly just another novelty exotic, and the armour is mostly eh, with weapons that should've been part of the roster in Forge Ignitions. I miss actually wanting to do raids and the like. In D2, it somehow just feels tedious and like a chore, partly to do with the fa t that the gear you get is just slightly better than what you get outside of them. As with this update, idk. Did a match or two and then just logged off and went and played something else. Nothing about it draws me in like D1 updates used to. Aesthetics are off, the content is off, the rewards are off, etc.

7 RepliesGaming is in a terrible stare right now. There’s nothing good right now. Everyone is still on the shitty battle royale train.
-
Right there with you! I'm about ready to just leave it "/ and its heart breaking. I miss D1.

9 RepliesDestiny 2 lost its appeal to me about two months after it was released. I didn't play it again until last week when I got the urge to buy the Forsaken expansion. I'm having a great time and loving all the new content and things to do. Guess what? When it becomes boring at some point in the future I'll play something else and come back to Destiny 2 when new content has built up again. Some of you guys are way too invested in this game to the point of it negatively affecting your gaming.

1 ReplyK,you say that you're over playing Isg the point when it is. Everyone that's constantly bitching about lack of content, destiny or otherwise, is straight no lifing the game and blowing thru shit in a matter of days. It's a HUGE problem with this generation of gamers(basically anyone below the age of 25). I've had no issues with a lack of content for any game I've bought in the last 10 years because I dont play like it's my God damn job. I mean even now, I have 4 or 5 games I'm playing, I've sunk most of the time into destiny and still dont feel like I have nothing to do, I have plenty to do. You guys need to take that criticism seriously, stop playing the game like you're being paid for it or simply deal with the fact that you're going to ruin the game for yourself by binge playing.

1 ReplyFor real. Gambit was ok for the tens of matches that I played, but a WHOLE -blam!-ING SEASON BASED ON IT?!? This was one gambit bungie took and lost.
-
Not even 650 on one toon and I'm sure you also haven't done a raid either but you're bored.

Edited by Syndicate Bias: 3/10/2019 3:17:28 AMI miss playing halo oh wait...

How'd you not even start the game and get so bored you exited out?

I like Gambit Prime. It doesn’t stop you from getting armor or anything more like Black Armory did with weapons. Just do a gambit prime match then do reckoning for armor.

1 ReplyThis is not Destiny anymore. It may look like Destiny but surely as hell doesn't feel like Destiny. Bungie completely forgot the foundational vision of this game: explore new worlds, save the humanity, fight the darkness, unravel dark mysteries, create your own legend.
-
Yeah, it is to the point of having to shoot Vex in the head to get them pissed off, build a pack of 'em and take them on tour to decimate any Fallen in the area, or randoms that happen to enter the area at the wrong time. There is some satisfaction in the instant Health exclamation point or instantly exploding Sparrow... My version of PVEVEVP. That's entertainment at this point... No interest in doing PVEVP event to unlock PVE "content" to get another chest plate with a large diaper pin on one shoulder.. Don't we already have enough quests requiring PVP to complete? Yawn... If the current focus continues just change the name to Call of Destiny and be done with it...

3 RepliesEdited by ghostx78x: 3/9/2019 1:38:20 PMThis game was sold as exploring space, fighting aliens, and saving humanity. Now we do dumbass chores/tasks/errands to fill some metric of playtime that Bungie uses to justify this game isn’t the pile of uncreative bullshit it has become. If I was an artist, I would get as far away from this team as possible. Probably be better off working for WalMart. At least they are upfront about shitting on people.

I wouldn’t consider myself a fanboy, but the boredom did kill it for me, even new milestones would’ve helped. I’ve been playing other games for weeks now, I logged on for the “new” content, 20 mins later I logged off, thought xur had some bounty on Friday so I logged on, realised it’s not until next week, logged off.

100000% Agree! Same here

1 ReplyGo play anthem idiot
-
Honestly, I’m having way more fun re-potting my houseplants and watching these comments than I did playing Destiny 😂
-
5 RepliesI don't see how anyone with the annual pass can be bored right now. I played for 3 hours straight today and wasn't bored for a minute.
-
2 RepliesI know the feeling. Gambit prime was ok the first day now I keep going against full teams and no matter how good or bad I play my team loses. There is the reckoning but that's only If you want gambit gear. Everytji mg alarm is the same stuff onlber and over. I'm close to 3000 hours in d2 and I have done just about everything. I'm finding it harder and harder to hope on . I love the game, how it feels the lore the feel but with out new areas or strikes it's getting very old and stale. I played anthem and it's ok. Not somethig I could sink hours into. It crashed my ps4 so I'm not sure I'll play it again. Too many problems too many loading screens. I played the division 2 beta and it's ok but the gun play doesn't feel as good as destiny. I want to look forward to getting on again.
