Basically what the title says. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing a huge chunk of your progress disappear. Especially if you HATE doing the activity. It's bull crap, lazy padding to extend play. If you REALLY want to extend the grind keep it FIXED but a bit longer. This only punishes average players. Hyper competitive sweats will have no problem breezing through, but average players (the crucible step for Last word for instance) will be disproportionately punished. It is poorly designed. Have the step be, kill 150 players, or something. It is even, fair and not going to punish average to lower skill players by taking away progress. Or put a cap on total loss per match.

4 RepliesEdited by Xzplosions: 1/30/2019 4:24:47 PMHOW ARE YOU PEOPLE THIS BAD AND WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS ON MY TEAM I LEGIT BEAT THIS STEP IN 2 GAMES. 64% IN THE FIRST GAME. ITS NOT HARD! USE YOUR THUMBS! Maybe if you aren’t good enough to earn the gun then you just shouldn’t have it? A kill is +2%, assist is +1% and a death is -1%. You guys are complaining because you can’t maintain a pointFRICKIN 5 KAD? You’ve gotta be kidding me.

For what's it worth Rumble is the place to do this part of the quest. Its not a crazy QP where people are looking for cannon fodder. You can pick your battles. I'm ok at PVP but QP has been insane, well more than normal, since LW quest started. I jumped into Rumble and did this part in about an hour. And yes I think the loss mechanic is silly.

If you avg a 0.5 efficiency per game you will be going up in %. Complaining about that is ridiculous...

Edited by Br00klyn: 1/30/2019 4:30:38 PMDownvoted. It’s a great exotic weapon for crucible, it shouldnt be handed out for grinding a few public events and killing 10 guardians. It’s not even that hard....and my pvp kd sucks

Remember the old IB bounty of ten kills in a row without dying? THAT was a shitty bounty
-
Fully agree. The loss mechanic drains all fun from the quest, and makes me reconsider my life choice to spend my free time playing Destiny.
-
I thought this crucible step was gonna take forever and wasn’t going to even try it but I decided to go for it cause believe me I do not like crucible at all but this step did not take as long as the pve parts for the quest

This is nothing compared to the Chaperone quest line in D1. This quest is pretty easy all things considered.

I Really HATE that when i want to cook a meal at home it has to be in the kitchen I'm more of a bedroom guy WHY the Hell can't i have my meal made in my bedroom.

7 RepliesEdited by Divine_Majin93: 1/30/2019 3:54:39 PMKeep exotics out of the raid. I shouldn't have to complete the raid to get 1K Voices. Why can't I get it from managing to kill the first boss? I have no intention of raiding. You see how silly that sounds? Edit: I payed for 1K Voices. I shouldn't have to put in so much effort for a gun I PAYED for.

All you have to do to make progress is go positive, thats it. Sweats and try hards average 4+ K/Ds, so holding yourself to that standard is self-inflicted. Hell, mayhem is up right now, so just run blade barrage and bring shame to Shaxx by only going in with your super, and run away like the female dog you are during cooldown, voila, EZ progress!
-
1 ReplyStrong disagree. As someone who doesn't play much crucible, and isn't very good at it, I believe things like exotic quests should require at least a minor amount of proficiency.

Quit whining.

Dear, Bongimus Thank you for your feedback. We are going to continue to listen but always ignore it for it isn't our idea. Love, Bungie

1 ReplyLose mechanics suck bullhonkey no matter what they are applied to, but I'd rather have them versus having to wait for either a teammate or YOURSELF to die in order to get specific medals that could easily be stolen from you.

This workaround did wonders for me:
git gud
5 RepliesGood Lord... You only need to do better than 0.5KDA to make progress on the quest. This is such a soft loss mechanic, how are this many people freaking out about it?

15 RepliesI'll go along with this. Do I think TLW should require Crucible participation? Yes. Do I think losing to better players should negate progress? No. As said, good players breeze through. Average ones have a brutal slow grind to deal with. Poor ones are blocked, unless they do paid carries (which I expect will soon be a thing, if not already). It's the abusive PvP matchmaking that's convinced me to opt out of the season pass, and Bungie's decision to not only require participation but also punish poor PvP players even more... it's doing little to change my mind.

Edited by Nineball2112: 1/30/2019 1:02:37 PMYep. I already pretty much dispise crucible. It literally makes my blood pressure rise. And because of the loss mechanic, and the fact that I stink at PvP, it's going to take MUCH longer than it should. So, if I want the gun, I have to endure something for even longer when I already hate crucible. For people who are good at crucible, and enjoy it, it's nothing at all. But for people who struggle and already dislike everything about crucible, it's just painful to deal with. With that said, if I want the gun, I gotta pay the price for it.

Your participation trophy is in Anthem.... Enjoy!

1 ReplyI don't know how many here crap on the pve players that complain about having to play pvp but then complain themselves about the loss mechanic. I find that hypocritical. The usual argument is pvp is part of the game so you have to deal with it. Well, dying and it's repercussions are part of the game. So solely for those hypocrites, deal with it.

I felt the same way then went 8nto mayhem on my titan and tried a few different loads with no luck. Then went to Quick play and it was worse because I was against a team of 4. I decided to given it one more try in mayhem with burning maul. I stayed out of the chaos until I had my super and found a group. 7 kills later I was feeling hope. I finished that match with 32%. I finished the stepninnanfrw matches. My advice is pick your fights and stay back until your ready to slay. Don't worry about winning the game just get your kills and get out. I'm not a PvP god hell I'm maybe average if im lucky.

Got that part done in one game LUL

Edited by N00bMaster69: 1/30/2019 3:17:06 PMPlease just get rid of all loss mechanics, I'm yet to do any of the new raids but I would like to be able to load them up run to the end and get all the rewards please.
