Please remove Enhancement Cores for infusion with this upcoming patch. There is a negative impact on community with this.
I am loving this game and played daily for more than 40 days, from 2-6 hours daily. My hunter reached 650 recently, I love to get my other guardians to this level but knowing that I need tons of cores to use weapons and armors I like is stopping me. I have no problem grinding, I did it before and I am doing it. But grinds comes from playing but Cores are rare and masterworking already needs a good bunch.
I posted on Reddit, it was removed as it was mentioned a lot of times, Forbes, other sites mentioned this, every day it was mentioned here and you claim you listen to feedback. This is very negative to keep guardians from using weapons and armors they like.
When D2 went free on Battlenet, me and gaming Friends and their friends joined D2, many of us liked it and got Forsaken. This infusion cost is an issue for everyone. So, pull your socks up and patch it. Thanks

I'm in a weird place when it comes to cores. I have about 100 or so stockpiled and i only use them on gun i want to use (i could give less of a s**t if they're "God Rolls") until i hit max light, then i start working on my armour, the exception being certain exotics. I find with enough play time you can get an ok amount of cores, but for the most part my play style keeps it even for me. That being said, I still think they're a pain to keep in mind every time I want to use a gun, even more so when i want to boost it only 3 or 4 light levels to get the item to max. I can understand why they are there, but most of the time those junk bounties are something out of the way and you'd rather be doing something else in game with the limited time you play in a day. Does anybody even grind junk bounties? When it comes down to it i find them more annoying than anything. Just another number to manage. I don't find it as much of a nuisance as others, but I can definitely see the trouble it could cause someone who didn't stockpile the hell out of them. Now waiting 3 weeks for the shattered throne to get my new exotic sniper rifle, that's a nuisance.

Once the content has be dragged out for few more months , then maybe they’ll make a change to it , anything to slow down progress

They should of been removed it. There is no way it would be a hard fix either.

Can't happen, players have to be kept busy now with chores, grinds and timegates 24/7. They have no other content for the whole year beyond this hamster wheel of endless unlock quests and bounties.

It's easy to bypass this until your drops are 650, yea everyone wants to run their preferred armour sets all the time, same with weapons. But running with what drops until you get 650 is easy enough, infusing them occasionally just to keep up. But you'll probably get much better rolls on newer drops anyway, then once you are 650, dismantle or infuse the crap gear and if you're fortunate, you'll get a few more enhancement cores which you can then use to masterwork. Only saying this because we all know Bungie can take forever to address this kind of issue and by the time it's addressed, it's too late... cough*thorn D1 pvp meta*cough

My 'weeklies' have gone from milestones to just the spider bounties. I don't need any more 650 gear as I can't even use it for infusion.

Thanks[/quote] I am in the top 20% of time spent on this game and love it the grind is good but not to the point of same weapons and armour over and over and over you get the point but cores are just stupid I'm 650 with all 3 characters but I got the bow from forges and it dropped at 649 so now I have to waste 3 cores to max it which is stupid infusion should be free keep the cores but use the to make weapons armour into tier tens and not far infusion.

If masterwork cores had stayed in there original purpose I would not have had a problem with this but to include them into infusing was a bad decision on bungie part and needs to be rectified as soon as possible

Agreed. Just put it back like it was prior. They can even keep planetary mats in it. I don't mind farming those. I absolutely detest this infusion core system. Even with the bounties, It just takes up a lot of time to farm these wanted enemies. Time I could be spending on other things in game I can't do because of stupid things like this taking up my time. This new bounty system is overkill. We wanted bounties, but geez bungie went crazy.

But.... going to planets, waiting an hour for a wanted enemy to spawn, killing it, and then getting one core for my time is a really worthwhile and meaningful grind. [spoiler]oh wait[/spoiler]

3 RepliesIts stupid that most of it is all rng with the cores and then you get 6 bounties per week per character so if you have 3 characters you can get a total of 18 per week which is basically gone with 5 to 6 infusions lol The useless way of infusing in this game..no wonder those who don't have much time in this game struggle to reach max light

3 RepliesYou must be new here, let me introduce you to Bungie. You will grind your heart out for those cores until they change the economy of the game and inhibit your power level climbing too fast regardless of how much you play. Trust me, as a beta/day one D1 player and avid supporter until Black Armor dropped, find a better game to play until you hear the vast majority of the community praising Bungie. Maybe leaving Activision will do the trick for them to get back on track to caring about the players.

I have been playing at least 4-8 hours daily and have never played crucible year 2 because I am trying to get the current quest exotics and need to level gear I can use to complete said quests. I would like to play the game just to play but the Overlords of Destiny seem to think that grinding for stupid useless cores is what we should spend our time doing rather than having fun playing a game we (used to) love (before all of this B S).

I’m working on the wayfarer title, so I needed different armor pieces in different planets. I got multiple weapons/armor that were master worked (year one is almost always just 1 core) but now I have 43 cores. Maybe my rng was good but there is ways to get them.

Agreed. When you give players the opportunity to make themselves look different from another and look how they want, putting a pountless timegate between players and simple aesthetics and preferred loadouts is nonsense. Because most of the armour looks like your Guardian went on a drug-crazed rampage through a Party City clearance section, I want to simply be able to keep the armour I have while levelling without my eyes bleeding every time I open the character screen. Masterworking being incentivised to endgame, that's completely fine, but simply wanting to not look like an idiot should not be gated to endgame.

I stopped playing because of this! There's just nothing to do, except grind for cores. And cores sound like chores.

3 RepliesCores aren't hard to get, but they aren't fun to try and get. If anything, reduce the cost Fatboy spider sells them for. I don't wanna do the same lost sectors or have to play strikes to complete them just to get a core.

Its not about enjoying yourself as you play Destiny 2, nonononono not at all! This is about micro-managing your inventory, praying for an influx of necessary stocks while climbing the power ladder! Destiny 2 is a *business* sim, not a shooter,looters. Why else would they have had such a huge brain dart after Destiny 1 post TTK or even Destiny 2 post Vanilla. Because this grind is just mindlessly stupid and contrary to all the defender monkeys it makes zero sense.
