I am loving this game and played daily for more than 40 days, from 2-6 hours daily. My hunter reached 650 recently, I love to get my other guardians to this level but knowing that I need tons of cores to use weapons and armors I like is stopping me. I have no problem grinding, I did it before and I am doing it. But grinds comes from playing but Cores are rare and masterworking already needs a good bunch.
I posted on Reddit, it was removed as it was mentioned a lot of times, Forbes, other sites mentioned this, every day it was mentioned here and you claim you listen to feedback. This is very negative to keep guardians from using weapons and armors they like.
When D2 went free on Battlenet, me and gaming Friends and their friends joined D2, many of us liked it and got Forsaken. This infusion cost is an issue for everyone. So, pull your socks up and patch it. Thanks

1 ReplyThey really aren't that bad. I think they just need to reduce the cost to 1 core per infusion.
-
I literally see so many posts like this.
-
Agreed. There are plenty of other grindy activities to do rather than lock our favorite gear behind an arbitrary resource wall.
-
This is just 1 reason that I gave up and quit playing this game. I can name almost 2 dozen others that quit since I did. This game is bad and very unhealthy grind for players.
-
I dont mind the planetary mats considering spider sells them, but omg is enhancement cores stupid for basic infusion.

Bungie: “we are listening. I have passed on your concerns to the developers, good luck though in getting us to do anything”

1 ReplyThis is the only thing holding me from coming back

8 RepliesYou and I define "community" as everyone who plays the game. Bungie defines "community" as Streamers and Youtubers who they need to keep happy in order to avoid bad publicity. The streamers wanted more grind at their streamer summit, so Bungie delivered.

34 RepliesI don't understand why people are defending a system that adds no value or purpose? I've read replies to this thread where some are even saying leave it as it is so players can "learn to manage their inventory", WTF??? I think the majority think it's a terrible idea, get rid of the bloody things.

1 ReplyEdited by l HyperLethal l: 1/15/2019 4:12:25 PMI'd rather spend cores updating my year one weapons. At least it adds more value, unlike the system we're currently stuck with.

Edited by alexluca79: 1/15/2019 4:26:04 PMWHY IS THIS NOT TRENDING?!?!?! EDIT: nvm it is now :)

Let it be!

If you play smart you only have to spend glimmer on enhancement the majority of the time. Infusing an item with an identical item only costs 5000 glimmer I have a small collection of armor and weapons that are masterworked, most of it is all Reverie armor since it was the only legendary armor that had enhanced perks until the new raid. Certain activities have a higher chance of rewarding certain things. Like vanguard strikes have a higher chance of rewarding vanguard armor and weapons, same goes for crucible and Gambit. Since I prefer the reverie armor I make that the last thing I do for the week so that every piece of armor I have is only gong to require glimmer for enhancement. This leaves me with only having to spend cores on some weapons and the armor that didn't get matched armor to infuse with.

Edited by name: 1/15/2019 3:23:56 PMyes , the masterwork cores in infusion turned the game to shit , it could have been fun when forsaken launched if it wasn't for this trash change

4 RepliesThe end of Destiny.

1 ReplyThe frequency that we get loot is way too high for the amount of cores they normally give people. I got a few hundred from the dawning just by turning in all my gifts so I'm sitting pretty for a while, but I can understand that some people who need to level a character can be intimidated by the infusion cost. but if you play smart and hold your cores until you really need to infuse something, you'll be fine. Also, don't masterwork everything like an idiot the way I do.

Look, believe me, if Bungie leaned into everything the streamers and personalities talked about we would have an even worse pvp meta than we currently already have. Here's what we can do, speak loudly and make sure our voice gets heard, because Bungie does listen, maybe not as much as you think but believe me they do read almost everything.

4 RepliesI agree with where you are coming from, but I don't personally think it's that big of a deal. Sure, it can be inconvenient at time's, but infusion has a little bit more meaning in my opinion. I get the frustration but I am able to keep up with how many I use daily. However, I play more than your average gamer, and I do think that they are pointless and a waste to use for masterworking. Cheers!

Edited by JBODST75: 1/15/2019 2:15:52 PMYes, and i dont understand how little to none is being done on listening to the communities ideas, adding quality of life improvements to the game and so on as theres like what 1000+ people over at bungie??... The game would be a million times better and i would gladly rather pay for that as many times if we had to than pay for more dlc that just adds more junk to the game any day! Like why?

Bungle here. We hear the community loud and clear on this matter. That’s why starting today infusion will only require 500 legendary shards & 1000 planet mats per infusion. Your welcome.
-
ironically i dont seem to ever run out of enhancement cores. between dismantling stuff spider bounties scrapper bounties and crucible rank ups i seem to always have 50 minimum and i infuse alot of crap lol
-
Hahahahahahahaha

Every weekly milestone have to give us 1-3 masterwork core depending on the lenght of the milestone. Also ı am seeing an increased drop rate of mast.cores when dismantling legendery armor or weapons.ıs a good thing. Dawning also gave me too many cores when i gave a gift to an npc. That was good.
-
I only use cores for infusing gear to higher LL, but I absolutely refuse to use them for the purpose of upgrading gear up its tiers until masterwork. THAT part of the system needs to die most of all.
-
Edited by xKingS1ayerx: 1/15/2019 12:23:13 PMPotentially unpopular opinion but I don’t mind the cores nearly as much as grinding for ascendant materials in early D1. I think the cores are pretty straightforward and in a backwards way what the community asked for. Only in a sense that people wanted to see a clear delineation between the casuals and dedicated. This is one way to show that. Not saying I disagree with you because I know how much of a pain in the ace they are to acquire and use (I hoard them hardcore and are terrified of using them on the wrong weapon). Maybe increase the drop rate slightly or add in another way to receive them? Every win after a max PVP win streak drops a core? Every 100th kill in a heroic strike, nightfall, or raid drops one? Every killmonger kill streak drops one? Just spitballing.

I'm in a weird place when it comes to cores. I have about 100 or so stockpiled and i only use them on gun i want to use (i could give less of a s**t if they're "God Rolls") until i hit max light, then i start working on my armour, the exception being certain exotics. I find with enough play time you can get an ok amount of cores, but for the most part my play style keeps it even for me. That being said, I still think they're a pain to keep in mind every time I want to use a gun, even more so when i want to boost it only 3 or 4 light levels to get the item to max. I can understand why they are there, but most of the time those junk bounties are something out of the way and you'd rather be doing something else in game with the limited time you play in a day. Does anybody even grind junk bounties? When it comes down to it i find them more annoying than anything. Just another number to manage. I don't find it as much of a nuisance as others, but I can definitely see the trouble it could cause someone who didn't stockpile the hell out of them. Now waiting 3 weeks for the shattered throne to get my new exotic sniper rifle, that's a nuisance.
