    • Only time will tell how much of the negative aspects of this game originated from Activision or Bungie. Now, we wait...

        • I think people are forgetting one big thing with this. Their budget just massively changed. Everyone thinks were going to suddenly get this massive change and epic game play. They need funding to make that happen. Who knows they could have a deal locked up with someone. Also begs to ask, what happens to all the exclusivity deals

good for them, i guess? i've never been a activision follower, but if it can improve the game, for whatever reason, it might get me back to play it again.right now i don't feel really inclined to do so, but if it gets interesting enough again without charging me the price of another AAA game in form of an expansion, i'm back.

              • For all those with opinions (good or bad) I suggest you read this article on Forbes (which is one of the publisher who is not on Activision payroll unlike others: fuktaku whatever) https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2019/01/11/five-big-questions-for-bungie-after-the-activision-destiny-split/amp/ It has some good early opinion bit a few good points also.

Given what has happened, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask Bungie about the development of D3. (i.e.: telling us if that is going to be delayed or not.) I mean, I think we would all like to hear some occasional communication on how things are developing. Give us a roadmap of what they hope to have done... I think that is the next step in communication.

                      • Activision dumped Bungie because bungie couldn't figure out how to chop up their game 3 years ago and still have competitive pvp. Bungie could not scale down the power/light in their game so they could chunk it up and sell it in pieces. LMFAO... bunch of tards

                            • I’ll reply to your edit since your “post” is a joke: I still play because I have invested so much time and money into the franchise and I am a fan of the game. That doesn’t mean I need to kiss Bungie’s ass, be delusional in defense of Bungie, or not post criticism/negative feedback just because I am a fan of Bungie and Destiny.

                            • all the separation is, Is a ploy. Now they have a convenient excuse to why d3 will launch unfinished like the last two titles

                            • Activision is businessman. The breakup simply showed D2 is a loss making project. Apparently they have also lost hope to turn it to be profitable in the future. How could a loss making project sustain, especially when losing the only funding source? The only strategy bungie may take is to substantially cut the cost by making it a much smaller game for a handful of hardcore players. Looking at the way they roll out annual pass content I’m afraid that is the strategy they are taking. The forges are really small content. A small area with recycled textures with old enemies to kill. Any small developer can do it in short time, which means low cost. The new raid probably is just a legacy from before. It is hard to expect anything actually big and new in the annual pass like raid dungeon or even a strike. What we will have is recycled content with “creative” gaming mechanism for us to grind, which does not involve much time and money. I’m not really interested in brainless grinding for some gears you won’t have any meaningful content to use them for. There’s no way bungie can afford to develop a game like D3. Bankers are cruel. They won’t help a company going down. Chinese Netease or any other potential investor may take over, but definitely not for destiny, a proven loss making project. They will get bungie to work on a project within their business plan, in case of Netease a mobile game. In any case destiny is gone for good. Time will tell.

                            • Explain to me why this is so good why would this make destiny more responsive to customer criticism and all the sudden turn a game which is fun but very Grindy into something exciting and fulfilling. Will we all the sudden get dedicated servers for pvp, will we get better weapons not reskins. Tell me what this means to someone who has played the game for years and years. 🤷🏾‍♂️

                              • After some time to think about this, I dont think this is a time to celebrate and here's why. This Bungie created Destiny 2 and CoO, Vicarious visions and High moon created Warmind and everything else we have played so far. Does that mean we are going to get crap dlcs from Bungie? Not too mention the XP throttling and the Eververse which was suppose to fund all the future content. Once D2 and CoO was proven to be garbage and Warmind dlc was pushed back from March to May last year, Forsaken was scheduled to drop during the Summer but was pushed backed due to all the QoL updates which still gets ignored. This Bungie hasnt shown that they can do this game on their own. Even D1 had big time gaps between content drops. They needed Activision studios Vicarious and Highmoon to help them for D2. Activision may get a bad rap as a publisher but Bungie hasnt shown they can handle making this game by themselves. Activision helped Bungie after D1 and immensely after D2 and CoO crapped out. All Activision asked for is the same us players asked for, more content to sell us in a more timely fashion. It was Bungie's responsibility to do that. Heck Bungie even renegotiated their contract to have more creative freedom to do that. Activision gave them use to 2 more studios to help them meet those goals. I like the idea of more creative freedom for Bungie to make the game they always wanted to, but Bungie has shown they may not be able to accomplish that goal by themselves. I hope I am wrong, I really like this game, its practically the only game I play on a regular basis. I am frustrated by sime of their decisions when it comes to loot and game mechanics. Lets hope Bungie by themselves can do alot better.
