Hey there. Thanks for reaching out to us about your ping issue.
So let's go ahead and make sure your ISP is not facing any turbulent packet loss. Please follow the steps below and let me know the results of this test to see what is taking place with your connection.
1. Open a command prompt on a client PC, via the Start Menu search for "cmd".
2. Type "ping www.bungie.net -n 300". (This will ping the address 300 times. Substitute 8.8.8.8 with whatever address must be tested.)
3. Copy the results and paste them in your response to us.
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not quite sure what you meant by the 8.8.8.8 bit but I have the results from the ping: Ping statistics for 104.20.29.30: Packets: Sent = 300, Received = 299, Lost = 1 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 17ms, Maximum = 153ms, Average = 35ms

Having a spike from 17ms to 153ms is a bit of a problem. Means you are having packetloss even tho it says from your test that you don't.
-
Yeah, I was doing some stuff while doing the test so that may be the cause of that. But when I'm playing crucible my ping is more in the thousands, or at least a couple of hundred.

Probably means your connections to other players is pretty terrible in a PvP connection. May need to look at Port forwarding.
-
What could I do to fix that then?
-
Google "port forwarding destiny 2"

Ah alright, thanks
