Meatball spawn rate?! What difference?!
20 matches later and still nothing in curse week. You gotta be kidding me Bungie. I’m not buying it. Anyone else?

I’ve played so much Gambit this week that I no longer care any more if I play Gambit again. I got smart and rolled with my clan and friends all week, and we won almost every match, but after close to 50 matches (almost all going three rounds), not one meatball spawned. The flaw of this design is most of my friends now hate Gambit because we focused so much time on it for the past week. It fundamentally ruins the “fun factor” of a game to have a quest tied to such a harsh RNG. It breeds game burnout and bad feelings. It was a similar experience to running faction rallies—boring and mind nummingly tedious. It would be better if the quest was easier to get (not tied to RNG) but harder to finish. This type of design is the definition of unfun in my book. Just my opinion.

Actually saw meatball 4X during the week. Double points weekend, decided to grind to my 3 reset, not once during the grind was I blessed with meatball. I figured Bungie would have been pushing him hard this weekend to entice new players: guess not but 2X Points was nice.

2 RepliesIt’s significantly higher, but the real problem might not be your number of matches, it’s your number if rounds, the chimera only spawns in round 2 or 3 so you halve your chance if the game ends before round 3 so my team intentionally throws round 2 to maximize chances

Saw it for the first time today. Beat it with blueberries. Got the quest and moved on with my life

I was grinding matches on my Titan and never saw it. Then I switched to my Hunter, which had never played Gambit, and I got it on the first try. Now I am working on the remainder of the quest. Warning: have a three-man team for The Corrupted mission. I two-manned it with another player. We did fine until the boss fight at the end, and that was a painful challenge. I wanted to give up many times, but we made it through the mission.

I’ve had 1 spawn in an off week and 1 spawn on a corrupted week. So 50/50 and I’ve actually grinded a lot on those weekends it was supposed to be higher. I can’t tell a difference at all.

I got it on my hunter, finished it, need ship n sparrow n the Damn meatball only spawns when I'm on my titan or warlock...first 1st probs...lol

I'd seen it once through an entire reset before this week, but I have seen it twice within the last 24 hours.

its very apparent how often it spawns compared to before,but its not as frequent as a normal boss either. I got 3 tonight and got the ship at the same time.

Played over 10 games just and had 3 meatballs just today l i finally killed it had losing every time i had it in past boy feels good.

I've seen it spawn in the last week alone as many times as I've seen it in since the DLC launched. Haven't killed it since I got my Malf core tho, my teams just panic and fail to kill the orbs that keep it immune to damage (...seriously WTF), plus non-stop invaders playing catch up...last drop I need is the ship and it's clearly tied to the meatball.

I played roughly 20 games of Gambit and had the meatball show up twice. Average for me is 1 every 10 games.

Dont have too much time to grind gambit but when i did, 8hrs straight with no meatball spawn. Not even once.

Some things to help: If you’re solo and like the team, stay in matchmaking (odds are they might stay) or put up a post with supers of your choice You’ll never see it on the first round You can maximize chance by going up to 3 rounds Best of luck to ya, I’ve done probably about 40 matches this week. Just need the emblem now
