Some people just are not good and have no interest in PVP in any way. So I really think it's unfair to force them to play a game mode that just isn't fun and/or stressful to them just to keep up with everyone else on getting the 400 PL armor. Some of us could literally be playing Crucible from now to Forsaken and not hit the requirements to upgrade the armor. Unfortunately, we don't even have that much time for Solstice.
Case in point: going from green to blue armor requires 30 Super kills in Crucible. I'll only ever get one Super charge per Crucible, and I don't always get kills, and 99% of the time when I do actually get Super kills, I'll maybe get one. So if my average per game is less than 1 Super kill, I would have to play 50-60 games to get those 30 kills. Now I have to do that for three characters. If I already do not enjoy Crucible, why would I devote that much time for kills to upgrade a piece of armor? Beyond not wanting to be behind everyone else.
So, I guess Bungie just left us in the dust until Forsaken? Awesome.
Makes me wish I could get my $80 back.

Done. For now. I wonder what blue has for crucible. Curiosity has me. I'm afraid.
-
93%!!!!!!!
-
This is not a grind. This is telling me to stop playing Destiny. It's not fun anymore.
-
90%. WHEN!!!
-
Still 83%.
-
4hours. 83%.
-
I've been at 77% for three matches. This is the final accomplishment before blue. So sad...

I have been trying to get 100% on kills in the crucible to pass the green armor phase. I've been here 3hrs. I feel miserable. I am horrible at pvp; this is an understatement.

1 ReplyEdited by Perspicuon: 8/16/2018 8:40:06 PMDestiny has been my favorite game since I found out about it (D1). I hate PVP, though. Not doing that, for any reason. If there is no way to proceed without playing PVP, I'm out. I'm giving up on buying the next DLC (Forsaken). That's it.

1 ReplyNo people have interest in Raids yet needed to do it in D1 or for the Legend of Acrius, truth is that you shouldn't complain and whine about something so little Not many people like PVE but the Solstice event gives you a mix of a bunch of tasks you can do, it evens the PVP and PVE content out in a decent manner And asking for an 80 dollar refund over PVP for an event is very immature, this event is completely optional so either complete it or keep quiet until forsaken roles around

3 RepliesEdited by Dayknight: 8/13/2018 1:11:05 PMI did it all with mayhem. Good, Chaotic fun like two arc striders clashing. That being said I understand the argument.

22 RepliesCrucible shouldn't be required for anything other than Trials and Iron Banner. I've been saying for years that questlines and events should let people choose between either PvE or PvP for each step. I don't know what genius at Bungie thinks that forcing people to play PvP is going to magically make them enjoy it.
-
I bought this game to kill space monsters not play f*ckn Call of Duty.
-
The pvp part is not that difficult,I am the worst player ever, it has been mentioned I have no thumbs and uncarriable in trials and I have done 1 set and now onto 2nd set,it may take a few games more than most people but you will get there in the end.
-
4 RepliesYour wasting your time trying to convince these unenlightened empty headed nitwits that they bought a pve dedicated game they think they are playing call of destiny.
-
1 ReplyYeah well I don't wanna run strikes or raids. So I don't. F*ck Bungie. I still play the way I want.
-
1 ReplyYou do not need the armour. power is capped way below 400 anyway. Sure it looks good I have it on my hunter but that is it. It just looks good...
-
Raids should not be included to upgrade the armors Just another way bungie locks people out of rewards
-
3 RepliesIf you're struggling to get 30 super kills in a month, you deserve to be left in the dust.
-
16 RepliesIt should be required. The armor is proof you have completed all activities. You should not get it for free.
-
It's all optional, sure match making isn't in the best spot right now but there's nothing in the game forcing you to complete these challenges.
-
It should though. Because solstice armor = proof that you did every activity.
-
I could say and really mean it, that only part of the game that should not be required for solstice armor upgrades is the raid it self. For ppl like my self that don't raid much or at all, means that some parts of our gear will never be master worked, which is a shame considering where this game is going. As many may all ready know, this game is all about raiding, so if u don't raid u will have a lot less content then the raiders them selfs. From my point of view this is not good, and at the end it will kill the game.

Edited by Truthiness_Inc: 8/11/2018 7:18:51 AMRaids shouldn't be required to get raid weapons. Trials shouldn't be required to get trials weapons. Crucible should not be required to upgrade Solstice armor. See how similar but universally ridiculous these statements are? It's not about triumphing over PVE it's about triumphing over destiny year 1. You're lucky you don't have to finish a 7 win trials card to masterwork the armor. We PVP players would need to raid to get our masterwork armor.

Mayhem is on this week. Super skills took me three matches. Crucible wins is found through patience. I’m having a helluva time
