Worm Gods: ostensibly more powerful than Oryx. Easily killed by a single guardian who doesn't even have a Gjallarhorn, Touch of Malice or self-res.
Oryx: Requires a full fireteam and more than a few wipes.
Bungie logic.

He’s not though. Xol was the weakest of the worm gods, one of which was killed by oryx, we killed oryx, oryx killed someone stronger than Xol, so by the laws of sword logic Xol could never have been a match for the god slayers

I mean I agree with you, on a gameplay standpoint it’s a cop out and it sucks, but TECHNICALLY, it makes sense. It still sucks, but it makes sense.
