I used to be super mad about everything but now I just feel kinda sad and I just want D2 to be good. Anyone else on the same page? Sorry for the low quality post I guess.
Edit: Obligatory generic edit referring to popularity. Really glad that the vast majority seems to agree with this sentiment though, judging by the forums I thought I was in the minority. Although I guess I should really know better by now lol

5 RepliesMost of us do, but the problem is that "good" means something different to each person.

It’s a good game we just all want it to be destiny it’s fun but it can get repetitive
-
1 ReplyDude I just read that in eeyore’s voice from Winnie the Pooh. Now I’m sad.

Edited by Les Grossman: 4/19/2018 1:59:22 AMI used to. There isn’t any redemption after this point. They should apologize for the travesty they have given us and move on to a new title.
CharlieMagma4Speaker
It must suck more to know every single design decision made was absolutely wrong. Like, how can you really live with yourself knowing you messed up such a great game? I’ve made this point many times; if we had everything like D1 with all the D2 stuff added, we would’ve enjoyed it. 4v4 for team fights alongside 6v6? Awesome. Tokens drop as boons/bonus items? Sure. Masterworks with random roll? Make any gun a god roll. Added all the new areas and raised light level instead of a new game? Would’ve been absolutely amazing, but they screwed us instead. Maybe the next dlc might be good, but no one has any hopes anymore. We have to save our light till we can enjoy the game again.

D2 should have been great from the start but now I think I could just live with it if they get back to Taken King or Rise of Iron days. Maybe their intention all along was to get us to settle for less.

It's not much fun playing solo. I mean, all the content is worn out. I still have a blast with my clan when we do strikes and stuff though.
-
5 RepliesNo, the post is fine. It's the toxic edgey keyboard warrior playersbase that will shit post in light of your post. The game should have been good to begin with first off. And it isn't good now. Too much dedicated hardcore playerbase igorned or disregarded. The next five years will be a conflux of suckers, myself included that will come and go at best. D1 days, the best days, goodbye proper spacemagic.

Edited by Cypher-8: 4/19/2018 1:06:21 AMIt can't be good, the build time for the tiger engine is 13 hours. 70 sftware engineers are required to make changes and a staff of 480 to maintain. It has 5.7 million lines of code. We learned in university that the days of selling quality goods are over. We just hope that the next generation doesn't know any better and purchases it anyway.

Not me! I want it to be fantastic. Sadly it's never going to be the game it's predecessor was but at this stage I'll settle for it being 50% of that.

1 ReplyI think bungie used too much duck tape trying to fix destiny 2 like someone did with this car
-
Destiny 2 is like a gaping head wound that needs serious attention; Bungie’s solution is putting a band aid on as a quick fix.
-
1 ReplyJust want a reason to play, i really miss what we had in D1 and the friends i had.
-
I used to. I don’t care anymore. I got PSVR. You haven’t lived until you’ve played fruit ninja in VR.
-
Yeah I was furious. Stoped playing until the go fast update hit. It feels like a destiny game again movement wise. Just bring back armor with perks that mean something, weapon perks that actually change gameplay, randomize it all, weapon slots and sub c lasses brought back, and poof welcome back to destiny let's pretend that shit never happened and won't happen again.

Stop it it’s not that bad

1 ReplyEdited by Icon: 4/19/2018 6:50:25 AMIt's lame that everyone feels the same about D2 since launch, but I have to say things are getting better. I'm not invested in raids like I used too be because the Lev raid was a snooze and only came back after the go fast update. However, IB and pvp is fun again, the strikes haven't been worn out for me. I just want a real raid like a perfect mix of VoG, Croata and KF with loot that is relevant to the raids and not just mods. But I was never a fan of WoTM raid and it seems each raid has gotten slightly smaller or not as epic, aside from KF. They really need to up their game in the raid aspect imo. I'd like to see a raid that has stages in it where if one week you complete that section, the next week opens up the next part of the raid, think SAO 50 lvls but maybe 4 levels, each section is a KF/VoG size "chapter" with an epic battle and then the last chapter could be a massive oryx style fight that has elements of PoE and other challenges to beat the boss, dismantle mines, carry relics, plates. This kind of thing is what my og clan expected from Crota. It would make PVE relevant and blow any other experience out of the water.

I think we are all angry at Bungie for making the game something no one likes I lost all my D1 friends to other games after about a month the Friday night raids Tuesday night night falls are all gone the fun is gone I miss it we invest a lot of time in this game and most of us Care-A-Lot about it and one Bungie decides to change it all up to bring in more casual people it makes us feel betrayed I want the game to be good again so my friends will come back to play so I can have fun
-
All the people who purchased D2 want it to be better. I say: hold on and be optimistic! Bungie did a terrible work with D2, but looking at the improvements they are going to do, I feel optimistic.
-
I understand the sentiment of your post but my issue is now with Bungie the corporation as oppose to the game itself in all honesty. I will play the next dlc having bought it but also relaxed about it as I am content in my own mind it will be my last content of D2. Bungie will need to show the base game of D3 will be worthy of playing in its own right before purchasing and I am certainly not accepting the paid dlc will make it better policy that has prevailed to date. I want Bungie to be a AAA dev with their game from now on.I hope so. Not so much for me but for my clan mates who still support the game even now. They deserve a better game.
-
I feel the same. Not sure if we want the same things but yeah, I just want D2 to be good.

https://youtu.be/T4ET9wOkmBM the old school vanilla style levelling system is making a comeback and it’s pure 💯% ruthless fast forward to 6:30

4 RepliesAbsolutely. I started installing Destiny this morning after 6 months off and a week of watching films for after work time, because I couldn't decide 'what to play'. Life was sweet when I played 4 hours or so of Destiny every night. I really miss it. I want it all back. I loved grinding old playlists for unique weapons etc too. Ah the love...

I miss when in D1 there was always something to do, something new and exciting to unlock, whether it was the grimoire, new weapons or rolls, or just exploring for secrets. In D2 i've already done pretty much everything I want to, Nightfall exclusives are mostly lacklustre (I only really want the auto rifle) so i'm kind of just waiting for Warmind hoping it'll contain something new to do.

10 RepliesEdited by WaterPiglet: 4/19/2018 6:15:34 AMI loaded up D1 today because I needed a reference of the obsidian mind for a project I'm working on. Went to the tower to get it from my vault and as soon as I landed it felt right. The background tower noise with the ships coming in, going round the side to land in the hangar, the echoey talking over the tannoy, listening to people's footsteps running around whilst you are in your menu, just watching people milling around all looking like they are there for a purpose and not just bored because they don't know what boring shit to do next like in D2. Most of them landing in and running off to the right to see if they have something cool from the cryptarch. Looking at the low levels wondering if they have just started the game and me being a little bit envious because I remember playing the game that very first time, going to the cosmodrome without your sparrow looking pretty naked with not much armour and working through the story, getting your first green, then your first blue and then purple. It was just the best. D2 will never give me that same feeling. Oddly enough I even miss the orbit loading screen with its awesome music admiring your ship and looking at the earth below, then waiting for your ship to dip slightly as it's finished loading then flying off to its destination.
