I used to be super mad about everything but now I just feel kinda sad and I just want D2 to be good. Anyone else on the same page? Sorry for the low quality post I guess.
Edit: Obligatory generic edit referring to popularity. Really glad that the vast majority seems to agree with this sentiment though, judging by the forums I thought I was in the minority. Although I guess I should really know better by now lol

1 ReplyI dont. Went back to d1. Feel its too late to come back at this point. Will wait for complete reboot. D3
-
I hope it will improve but not in the way to completely return to D1, I hope it gets the perfect mix of the best of D1 with the best of D2 and goes forward always building upon that. No more hard resets though.

Yes, the gameplay mechanics are there, just needs more rewards and different ways of getting them. I would like them to work on the story a bit more and the lore behind it, make the in game characters more interesting.

1 ReplyEdited by WaylandLoner: 4/19/2018 5:58:01 PMi dont see it with the d1 rose tint contacts. its not a BAD game. everyone complaining just seems to want D1 yr 3 ++++++++ i think theres a lot to be said for switching from the 2 year new game and dlcs cycle. give season one as base game destiny. season two will not be dlc x2 or x3. it will be an expansion such as world of warcraft does, that adds maps and planets and enemies new threats etc to the game, and new levelled weapons. season 3 arrives in a year or two as another massive expansion, and bungie this way arent constantly re-inventing the wheel for the template of game+dlc+dlc+dlc, game+dlc+dlc+dlc, (etc ad nauseum) would that be worth paying monthly sub for? since each expansion is effectively the size of the base game but all new content, including a mode where pvp MEANS something (clan control of areas for extra loot drops or similar, also making faction rallies where you vie for control for better chance of good drops from lost sector chests ) because you and your clan/faction are fighting to control points. think like taking the gulch in EDZ. it would be like a weekly public event, over a day, only the events all count - they dont start unless players from different clans/factions are there. last 10 minutes. the winning side gets the difference in points added to their total. the highest total at end of the day, gets control of the area until the next conflict in a weeks time.

By posting in these forums you’re already getting rid of the millions who would disagree with you.. It’s like going to a football game and being surprised that the home team is whom the majority want to win..

At one time I did. Far too late now

Edited by THUNDERCHILD: 4/19/2018 6:19:31 PM
Anyone else just want d2 to be good?
Thats all that anyone wanted. Had d2 been good these forums would be a vastly different place, and the numbers of the playerbase would be many times higher.

3 Repliesinitially I was enjoying the game, albeit as maybe a rather shallow version of it's predecessor and I've never really got angry about it but I'm at a point now that I just have no faith left that Bungie can take this shell of a sequel and give us the game we all wanted to spend the next three years being as utterly obsessive over as we were with it's predecessor. it's the oldest joke in the world but honestly, I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed...

That's why I play it
-
I do want it to be good! And as far as pvp go, the 6v6 is a very welcoming change.

24 Repliesd2 is trash...absolute trash. i bought the seasons pass but after the may dlc im done... i play warframe its 100 times better and more better games are coming borderlands3 the division2 haha -blam!- destiny2
-
I did. Not anymore. Never again.
-
Do you want D2 to be good, or do you want D2 to be D1? I know that we can ask for both, but I like D2 being different.
-
2 RepliesLooking back at how great I found d1 this almost feels like the company that made it have lost their on determination to produce requested content and are amongst the most avaricious businesses in the gaming industry.
-
Yeah then I might think about playing it again
-
I did. But now I look forward to its next failure as I would a holiday. I’m not entirely sure why I feel this way...maybe it’s due to Bungie’s hubris and greed, or maybe it’s just to spite the fanboys that admonish criticism of their favorite developer...I’m not sure anymore; however, it really does not matter because whether this game thrives or dies; I win.

Watered down gameplay Folklore story
-
Yep, I feel cheated for the lack of content but I still enjoy playing the game.
-
4 RepliesYeah, this game sucks.
-
The reason I’ve been rather emotional about his game is due to the fact it’s not good, of course we all want it to be good as that’s the reason for the upset!

A hog in armour is still a hog.

Edited by hunting the void: 4/19/2018 5:34:31 AMSo many good games coming out IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER. shot the same enemy for 3.5 yrs. Went through all the embarrassing growing pains Bungo has gone Through with destiny. They honestly lied that destiny can't handle 60fps and oh no the destiny community doesn't deserve DEDICATED SERVERS! ALL TO SEE BUNGO THROW THEIR COMMUNITY UNDER THE BUSS BECAUSE THEY FOUND CREATING CONTENT WAS TO HARD SO WE GET MICROTRANSACTIONS! F*** BUNGO!

Im having a blast with 6v6 man. When i did not enjoy pvp i stopped playing for like 6 weeks. I suggest you do the same.
-
7 RepliesI feel you 100%. It's not a matter of feeling cheated out of your money, it's like... Man, this world is great, this game has really solid core gameplay, I just really wish I felt like doing any of it.

Certain people....I'm looking at you buffet king and failed author.....should not be allowed to touch anything dealing with games. Now. If you will excuse me, there was an accident on the road and I must go and stare at the mangled car and wonder how that person survived being eaten by a dump truck.
