Hi,
Thank you for your report. If you are unable to type in clan chat, you may want to clear the application cache:
Android:

Are you using the Companion App or are you using your Android's default web browser to access your Clan page?

I recommend deleting and reinstalling the Destiny Companion Mobile App to alleviate this issue. Moreover, I recommend checking to make sure your device is fully updated. If these troubleshooting steps do not alleviate this issue, please provide the Device you are using in addition to the Companion version.
