People constantly quitting a PvP match is a symptom of a poor PvP game design.

  • Just left one because I was matched against a full team and somebody on my team didn't move for the first minute of the game. I seriously wouldn't play crucible if it wasn't for this weeks verse

  • no, its a symptom of people looking for hand outs. its too hard for them so they quit. "look, i'm against a team of 4. i won't be able to be MLG pro in this game so i will just quit".

  • Uh yeah I’m not going to sit there and have a horrible time because Johnny badass needs to squad up in quick play to feel good about his after noon Some of us only wanna complete the weeks quest without spending an hour or two finding a competent group of 4 Why can’t they just give us a mercenary mode like some of the cods used to do That way you squads can go “mlg sweat your dicks off” and I can go play casually and complete my quest I’m cool with getting destroyed by 4 randoms I deserved it But everytime I solo que, I’m placed against a team of 4 Every game yesterday was that case No thanks I’ll pass

  • I told you, if it’s a duo or a group of 4 randoms, I will gladly be stomped by them..that’s fine I leave the match right away when I see it’s a team of 4 It’s not going to be fun...I don’t care about easy I play the game to relax and pass the time Not so jimmy in his basement twitch streaming for pennies can pub stomp in quick play

  • Yep. They need to understand WHY people quit in order to actually implement a solution that is going to fix it. The frustration quitters - nothing you can do about those. When people get frustrated with the way a PVP match is going, they're just going to quit. And I get that, it happens now and then. But for the rest, most just quit out to preserve their KD. So as I have suggested in the past, people who quit the game should suffer a KD penalty. Maybe they get tagged with +50 deaths with their current kills if they quit within 1-2 minutes, and the penalty starts to scale downards as time passes until there is ZERO penalty if you stay the full game. Just saying, it would definitely fix SOME quitters. But you can't fix all of them. No matter what you do, players are going to get into frustrating matches and nobody is going to stop them from quitting out.

  • Video games are about fun. Some people don't have fun when they join a game in progress, only to find that their team of 1.0 KD randoms is being spawn trapped by a 3.0kd 4 stack that is controlling all power ammo spawns.... Some people don't have fun when they are dealing with lag. And some people are trying their hardest to enjoy the absolute shit show that is D2 pvp. If you start punishing people for quitting quick play matches, then they will just stop playing quick play.

  • They quit out for the same reason we can't have open chat: because humans are generally trash, consistently do the wrong thing if there are no consequence, and therefore can't have nice things.

  • How about no! The only time I quite is when the opposing team are lagging that bad that they do not take damage and seem to OHK you every time. It's all well and good implementing punishments for people who quit if the game is working as intended but punishing people for quitting when the game is so fundamentally flawed because of lag is just wrong. Punishments are not the answer to stop quitters. We need to look at the whole picture and work out why they quite and then make so core changes to the actual game. For starters they could put the fun back into crucible.
