I can no longer play the prestige nightfall or raid unless I buy the DLC, good job black mailing people into buying the DLC. I was considering buying the DLC but as you have removed content that I have paid for from the standard game I won't be buying it neither will my friends who play with me. The DLC should not change the base game I paid for. The only thing that kept me playing was the prestige nightfall and raid now that has been removed I’m going to quit playing Destiny 2 some of my friends I play with are going to quit also.
Edit: Thanks for the support this has been getting it’s nice to see there is still a good community here

Edited by pallo xd: 12/6/2017 4:18:04 PMBungie did it in D1 also, but ppl didn't really care bc most destiny fans bought all of the dlc's no matter what. Now they can't get away with doing it. Scummy thing to do.
-
That's really bad they should not have done that
-
Three months is pretty long time to play a video game that one has no plans of updating.

Edited by BudduhSwagg: 12/6/2017 5:31:35 PMYea I dont agree with most of the posts on this forum but I did not even notice this last night. What a shit company. Honestly I'll probably buy the season pass because I have been having fun with the game as a PvPer and there are no other games out there right now that interest me - but -blam!- Bungie in the future. I will likely ignore them just like I do with EA after they took a dump on their customers with the 2015 Star Wars BF.
-
I can see it if the weekly nightfall is an original strike but if it’s a new one that came with the dlc yeah you should have to pay for it, why would they let you play something new without buying it.
-
That is pretty standard practice for Destiny. The DLC isn't much of a change to the game other than limiting what player can do and will only further divide the remaining player base. I'm chasing a new light level and that's about it. PVP seems even more imbalanced than before. I haven't found anything in the update to brag about getting. There's also more stuff to collect, but nowhere to store it. Good time to take a break from the game if you didn't pre-order the DLC's.

5 RepliesI was waiting for Bungie to lock me out of Content i was used to play. Now that im not buying the DLC i can go and try to get my refund on the PSN. Thanks for the Information.

5 RepliesHow the -blam!- is locking the prestige activities blackmail? Please, enlighten me on the new "definition" of blackmail
-
This franchise has turned into a full fledge cash grab like no other game i have ever seen. I have had it.
-
1 ReplyThey locked trials A gamemode that may be using 1 launch map all weekend is locked behind a DLC paywall. Lmao
-
So let’s say you’re playing with five people who HAVE bought Curse of Osiris, and they all do the raid. As of right now, would it say “Some players don’t have access to this activity.”? If so, that is dumb, and reflects poorly on the development team, that they can’t simply put a “pay wall” JUST ON the new raid lair. A very valid point indeed, I would be infuriated.
-
The majority of the activities provided in this game are "live" content provided through online servers. When you first launch up this game, you agree to Bungie's terms of use, which essentially says they have no obligation to continue to provide you with this content. I have said this many times, but whether this is right or wrong they are well within their grounds to do it. Good for you for not purchasing additional content as the only way this will change is if it effects the bottom dollar.

Proves buying base game at full value is a bad bad bad move with Bungie games. Cos of the lock outs, after a dlc or 2 Bungie HAS to drop all the content (dlcs x 2 plus base game) for super low cos no one is going to pay 100 to buy a game. All this does is cement the fact that buying straight away, your just paying a silly premium to play test it first lol Itll all be put together for like 30 uk pounds in a couple months 100% If Bungie gonna persevere with this shitty model at least we should exploit it too to favour us. Less initial sales....bigger the discount that follows and as D1 showed they HAVE to drop the price to survive or bring back old players, and find new ones.
-
Valid complaint. But it's been this way since D1 TDB. Changing it is unlikely.

Actions speaks louder than words guys: https://www.change.org/p/activision-return-content-already-purchased-now-hidden-behind-extortion?recruiter=12703815&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition

Key thing to note is that Bungie wont advise parents of kids buying it, saying oh now the dlc has dropped you need to buy that too to get all activities. Its beyond scummy. If they dont do it tho the new dlc has no real value. Couple hours campaign for 20 quid lol No one with a brain has or will bothet. Same thing with base game. Cos its tanked so hard and massively discounted it looks like a 6 hour campaign might be value....its isnt but defo doesnt seem as laughable as 60 dollars for 6 hour campaign. I saw streamers finishing the dlc story in 2 hours and cracked up. D1 base is a joke now. Its a joke with the dlc but without its almost a scam. Why? cos Bungie never tells people they are losing the end game content they had, if they refuse to plough more money into the shit fest that is D2....in the hope with enough money and time they might get it right. All them kids at xmas praying they dont get D2. If they do they will see they gotta spend more money to do nf and raid etc LOL If only Bungie could make a sequel for Destiny fans...

3 RepliesUmm haven't they always done this?
-
Bungie's motto...add by subtracting
-
Edited by PapaSubpar: 12/6/2017 4:42:28 PMToo bad, so sad. Huehuehue.
-
Unfortunate, but not new. Bungie did this for all of D1's run so it is not surprising to see it in D2.
-
1 ReplyIt's a pretty scummy thing to do. The games only been out since September and they're already locking away parts of the base game for people who haven't bought the expansion yet. Come on, Bungie. You promised better communication and this is a good a place as any to start. Explain why you have to do this to people who've already bought your game.

36 RepliesThey raised the light level for those activites. You didn't pay for that higher light level. Pretty simple, really.

I stopped buying DLC for Destiny 1 after year 1 ended. Came back to try D1 because of how much I hated D2, and literally EVERYTHING was now blocked out unless I paid for all the recent DLCs. Couldn't even play a match of PVP as every gamemode was locked out
