Removing content with the DLC
I can no longer play the prestige nightfall or raid unless I buy the DLC, good job black mailing people into buying the DLC. I was considering buying the DLC but as you have removed content that I have paid for from the standard game I won't be buying it neither will my friends who play with me. The DLC should not change the base game I paid for. The only thing that kept me playing was the prestige nightfall and raid now that has been removed I’m going to quit playing Destiny 2 some of my friends I play with are going to quit also.

So basically, like last Destiny, no DLC and there is basically no point to play. Disappointing.

3 RepliesThing is with it, it's no longer possible to get the platinum or 100% achievements unless you have the dlc. Sony and Microsoft will both refund you immediately based upon this premise if you've bought the game but not the dlc and don't yet have the platinum or 100% achievements. It's a pretty silly decision from bungie indeed.

Whereas I'm sick of the general bitching on this forum - this post is absolutely valid. Bungie - you simply cannot take existing content away from players (by raising the light level) if they don't buy the DLC. I really want this game to work but some asshat is making some ridiculous executive decisions here. I'll be surprised if you don't get hit by class action for this.

Destiny 2: Raid level raised with Power Level to remain relevant for players that purchase DLC. seems like Bungie is keeping Raids relevant for players that continue to support the game. the Raid still exist for base players, but no longer have access to current endgame modifiers. i agree completely with this new method. TL;DR D1: DLC made past raids irrelevant. D2: DLC keeps past raids relevant. which is better?

1 ReplyFor anyone wondering about getting Microsoft and Sony to refund you if you didn't buy the DLC you're in luck! This may likely be removed, but Bungie done f%£ked up! Whatever money grabbing idiots are running the show finally went too far so go ahead and contact Sony and Microsoft for your refund while you can. You simply need to tell them that D2 is now broken due to the DLC and can't be completed. What I hear you ask. Well thanks to their utter stupidity Bungie moved an achievement to behind the paywall. This achievement is on record with Microsoft and Sony as being in the vanilla game! It can't be achieved now without paying for the optional DLC. Yep the prestige achievement has been locked behind the paywall! Your base game is now officially not able to be completed and you can get a refund. Took me just 20 minutes and some back and forth-ing as neither Sony nor Microsoft are aware Bungie did this! You don't have to even try too hard just make sure the assistant at the other end understands that you can't get all the achievements and thus can't Platinum (Sony) and 100% (Microsoft) the game as it stands. Don't lie though. You don't need to as you and everyone else including S and M will not have known this was going to happen.

I never played that garbage either and they ticked off alot of people in D1 with that in The Taken King. Unfortunately for those dimwhits this DLC is NO WHERE as valuable as that was to be just ignored LOL This isn't Bungie. This is trailer bin coders pretending to be them at this point.
