What a massive salt fest. This place is insane!
There is a massive massive disregard for the fact that there a small army of people, PEOPLE, people with lives and feelings and careers that are being personally called pathetic and worthless by a small army of entitled, unpleasant, bullish, ^&*holes.
It's a real shame to see and is actually quite depressing that you will all sound off so viciously about a game, A GAME, and won't bat an eyelid about real world issues and villains.
Grow up, go out, try and enjoy something and stop sh*&%ng on the little old real people trying to get on with their days and working to 'fix' this like a parent trying to reason with a raging 2 year old who cannot be reasoned with.
By the way, this game is great, there is definite room for improvement of course and the blog was nothing but positive news.

Yea don't bother this community is worse and more TOXIC then Dota's if that's even possible ? Nothing will please the old D1 fans it's best to ignore them and keep doing your thing :)

You will find these masses on every forum. It's not unique to this one.

3 Replies40 years of combined experience developing and publishing world acclaimed triple a console and computer franchises... Real mystery why people are complaining about regressions in innovation sold at full price. Why are people who pay for things so damn entitled...? Weird.

26 RepliesFor all those tapping on about how glorious D1 was, you are HIGHLY romanticizing an originally crap game. I am a D1 pre-order player. Bought the PS4 and the whole shebang. So I know what a disappointment it actually was. It had shining moments of beauty, such as VoG, but it horribly disrespected my time as a player. Additionally, they didn't start making quality of life improvements until TTK, and even then, some didn't really take effect until almost 3 months after TTK. Don't polish that turd and try and sell me rain when it's urine. You all are remembering a very different game. I know. I was there. D2 is by far and away a better game at launch than D1 was at this point. Additionally, anyone remember TDB, the first DLC? How TINY that DLC was as compared to what CoO will be according to Datto and others? Yeah, so OP is correct in their assessment. This community is acting like a bunch of whiny, self-absorbed, illusion of superiority driven children. This game can only go up from here as long as they don't rehash the foolishness from D1. I, for one, am enjoying myself EVEN THOUGH I do feel there are improvements to be made. FOR SURE. But it's way better than it was for me in D1. Now, flame away and pour your salt on me. I already hear people picking up the pitchforks.

OP is salty about the salt. How ironic.
this forum is pretty bad though
1 ReplyEdited by Willie Killigan: 11/30/2017 10:11:23 PMI remember there was no improving a game in weekly, monthly or yearly installments. They released COMPLETED, either as a good game or a bad game. And you played if you liked the game, you traded it in if you didn't. You paid attention to the games you were buying because you didn't want to spend money or time on something you weren't or didn't want to play. This allowed the good developers making good games to flourish. Look where we are now. You can be a shit developer and it's absolutely fine because we can just improve the product over time, and actually profit from doing so. Now every AAA is a either unfinished game with updates or a game with scheduled DLCs with updates. Gone are the days of getting a full game for full price and playing it till you're done with it. If you played that game for 3 years it's because you enjoyed it, you weren't sending nasty letters to the developer telling them to improve their current product hoping it got better along the way. You just played or you didn't and moved on to play something else. Now people would rather bitch and moan HOPING the game will turn out how they want it, instead of knowing what their buying upfront and being a smart consumer. When you point a finger, you point 3 back at yourself. You would seriously in my opinion have to be an idiot to buy a game and spend the majority of your time bashing it instead of just playing. Either this game or something else you enjoy.

1 ReplyYou're not the boss of me. I use flow chart to plan my rage. Something you can do about it? Yes? Rage. No? Rage. Nothing you can do about it? Yes? Rage. No? Rage.

1 ReplyI have three kids....I can't stand -blam!-ing 2 year olds! I analogy is real.
-
5 RepliesFrustration/Disappointment is one thing. Lashing out like a 5 year old is another. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but at least try to be an adult about it. Half the posts lately sound like kids all screaming and throwing fits. Over a video game... a game that no one forced on them. I hate to say it's a generational thing.. but geez. Sometimes I don't know.
-
2 RepliesThe Diablo III forum was identical at launch. The other forums I remember frequenting around launch were The Division and Overwatch - equally as toxic. It's the same generation of entitled, basement dwelling, unemployed millennial libtards spreading their infectious disease to whatever they can latch on to.
this game is great
Lmao

4 RepliesYou forgot to bring the ship to "Yellow Alert" and call for shields to be raised. Your post was going to bring the haters and the trolls storming out of the woodwork.
-
yeah, it's almost like we gave bungie money expecting something good....
-
2 RepliesI wish I got paid for doing a bad job and still have people praise me and defend me from any upset customers
-
4 RepliesYou should be thanking those "salty and toxic" people on bended knee, who do you think gets the improvements and fixes? The people that they piss off, not you sycophants who think everything is just jolly and praise Bungie every time they wipe their nose.
-
46 RepliesThis forum definitely needs some heavy moderation. I just got out of forum jail (one month ban) for losing it on this guy who was throwing out the salt. I just got sick of it. The irony: got banned for losing it on a forum poster who was spreading toxicity, in effect becoming toxic myself. Lesson learned. But damn does this forum ever need work. It's bad, real bad.

Edited by Crunchyblack: 12/1/2017 4:47:17 AMCasual here with career and "a life" i guess. Maybe ive been spoiled as a PC gamer but theres really no excuse i see for the state of a game like this made by a company like Bungie. So many simple mechanics ive never seen done so poorly.. Theres a reason so many people are upset. Even games that dont proclaim to be RPG or loot based do loot and RPG systems better....even decades ago....hell even their first game did it all better. People just wanted the game they paid for....no one expected the sequel to be further behind the original at launch...you dont see that often tbh. Im sure theyll improve it eventually but the loot mechanics, gear mechanics, endgame mechanics are all pretty substandard even by 2008 standards in a MMO...and this isnt some indy studio working on a bare bones budget with no prior examples to work off of.....its embarrassing frankly. Still picked up season pass just to support maybe the game improving but really id love to hear the excuse for making a loot based shooter RPG like they did....they really thought people would want to farm static gear with no purpose like all the armor and get one token as a reward for an epic fight? Has anyone at bungie ever played an MMO before?
-
Bungie's ill-produced game and lack of communication is the core of the toxicity.
-
Everything is awesome, everything is great when you're part of a team! There, no salt. Have a nice day! :)
-
Oh the irony.
-
The forums have always been a bit salty, what is missing is the thousands of people who used to be here, funny stories, an alternative TWAB, funny squeaker posts, post parties for titans, warlocks, hunters, and the legend Ponethepoon, who wrote hilarious posts, maybe it’s a reflection of the changes bungie made.
-
Didn't even read. Don't blame the community or the forums. Blame the game they belong to. Shit games make shit forums and shit communities.
-
This forum is a mixed bag. I like it.
-
1 ReplyMust be one he'll of a view from your high horse.
-
7 RepliesThis game is a pile of dogshit and Bungie knows it. Endgame is garbage. PvP is garbage. Supers are garbage. Exotics are boring garbage. Static rolls make guns boring. The timer on the nightfall is lazy. The only good part of the game is the gunplay. Sorry you can't take the blinders off to see that D2 is hotter trash than a dumpster fire.

Obviously you haven’t played the game. If you had you would see Destiny 2 is just 1% of what Destiny was. Destiny 2 is pointless, I t’s not a step forwards... it’s a 1000 steps backwards.
