These numbers include D1 too, because 1 server bank for both games and an engine made in 1983 from Deejs old stove :))
Dying rapidly, and statistical analysts suggest the future wont see growth for the franchise, along with Candy crush, and that activision are already going all in on Black Ops 4 in 2018.
Search black ops 4 leak on youtube for info.
Bring on the fanboys
Don't play then
You try making a game
I enjoy it n think it's 11/10
Git gud
It's better than D1 at launch you can't compare it to a 3 yr old game
Wait till the dlc drops
They'll change things over the years
I love pvp
You're still using green guns
Lololol
Edit: Luke Smith says that because the majority who play, have hit level cap, it means people are sticking around, lololololol

Edited by Jerico_7suns: 10/13/2017 5:00:00 PMEvery day is a bard day or worse than the last wrt player pop. Eventually it will level out with a committed core but it will drop a bit before that happens. The issue is I don't see you will see significant spikes with dlcs because I believe those who have left and continue to leave are not doing so to play the onslaught of other games but because they genuinely do not like the game. I know I won't be buying a DLC, no chance in hell. Season Pass holders will give it a brief bump and I'm sure a lot of people are returning to D1 which is not separated out, making it impossible to accurately see what is going on with D2.

4 RepliesEdited by DeusFever: 10/13/2017 4:44:08 PMWow, this really is the saddest Iron Banner ever. I mean, the whole point of these periodic events is to juice the population. This Iron Banner appears to have a negative affect on population! Some notes on the trends. Overall you see a steady population drop which is normal for on-line games. You also see a weekly trend, where the population drop plateaus at Tuesday reset then goes up a little over the weekends. This week saw no plateau and at this rate of population loss, we are not likely to see a spike over the weekend. We are not likely to see much of a bump from the prestige raid next week considering 16.8% of players finished the raid and 6.6% finished the prestige nightfall. Final note, the population remains healthy and I think it is still too early to call this a death spiral.

2 RepliesSo, Deej said they are reviewing all areas of feedback on the internet. Well here's one for you Deej. You and those dumbass devs need to wake the hell up and separate the PvP from PvE before it's to late. I don't know what better data you would need to know that this is your smartest move at this point.

Bump! Listen to your fans bungie
-
80 RepliesI had like 6,000+ hours into destiny 1. I've hated destiny 2 since the first week and finally deleted the piece of shit off my console. It's a pretty bad game. Just here for the salt now.
-
Oh noes, what will I do if there aren't millions of people to play with when I only play with my friends!!!!
-
I will do what I did with Destiny 1: keep playing until it's no longer fun.
-
5 RepliesYou could line up developers for MILES who would KILL to have Destiny 2's "problems". Two millions players for a game that is 6 weeks old is not a "problem". Especially for a game that was deliberately designed to NOT require daily play in order to progress.
-
27 Repliesso what? The fact that majority of fans are still playing is a GOOD SIGN for growth. AND the next expansion is only a month or two away.
-
And your going to explain why this is atypical for any video game right??
-
I still like the game
-
I'm still playing, and I'll keep playing for each expansion and each new version. It is my Destiny!
-
2 Repliesit's okay, they'll be back with the DLC.. they always come back. Also, I'm betting we get bunch of kinderguardians around the holidays.
-
9 RepliesThey only want us to buy the game, play for a few weeks and then go away until they have another DLC to sell us.. that's the most profitable scenario for them.. period.. it is soooo obvious now..
-
23 RepliesNO WAY? You...you seriously are telling me that after about a month the player numbers drop? Hm... That can't have anything to do with the fact that classes have started for most people and that a large number of players were casuals to begin with. NO Destiny MUST be dead.
-
I'm not surprised by this at all. D1 was able to survive precipitous player decline in the beginning though because the game was fundamentally fun to play, the game established SOLID basic principals for a game more slanted towards an RPG/Grinder, and we all saw how much potential the game actually had in those early stages, even when basic things like the story made no sense. I think with all the disappointment surrounding D2, I think many of those players who are leaving likely won't come back. The DLC sales will likely still be good because many players chose to pre-order with the season pass, so I don't expect to see a precipitous drop in sales this year. But when that next paid-for DLC comes out that is not covered by the season pass, those sales numbers will likely be down, IMO. D2 feels like it has lost the hope and promise we all thought it had during the early D1 days. All sacrificed at the almighty alter of competitive PVP.

Relax its just a beta
-
It's very clear the population is going down fast. It's pretty hilarious to see people deny it and attack you lmao.
-
1 ReplyGood. I can't wait til it drops to a point where the people that don't like the game are gone and shit stops changing to suit their wants. When the salt thins and you really open your eyes this game is fine the way it is. Sure some things need to be adjusted but overall gg.
-
I find the pvp in D2 is pretty garbage compared to D1.
-
4 RepliesI quit three weeks ago. It’s the exact same game, nothing special. Destiny sucks
-
6 RepliesWith so many going back to D1 I wouldn't be surprised if it was down to 1.1 Mil for D2 and .8 Mil for D1.
-
It's as simple as this..... people got tired of d1 due to the because we had been doing the same thing. Now they create d2 and make you do the same things over and over again in order to collect coins. The raid is a joke and forcing us to grind is truly boring. I play no where near as much as i did in d1 and in will not. Destiny's way of trying to keep you playing. Not this time.
