As someone who could see this trainwreck of a game coming since DRE back in May 18th, I've been very vocal about what I need to see in order to get me to buy the game. Once again, this is it:
1. FULL SEPARATION of PVE from at least the competitive PVP arena. This would allow PVE to play like D1, casual crucible to play like D1 (basically anything goes) and for those who want PVP to be ultra balanced and focused on primary gunplay, well they can play the competitive PVP. Competitive PVP should just have its own exclusive lootpool you can get from the Crucible/Trials Vendors and it should be balanced separately from other gear, which will be balanced for PVE.
2. Bring back D1 loadouts for PVE and non-competitive PVP. Competitive can have dual primaries and choice of any special OR heavy, and Competitive mode will have Trickle modifier ALWAYS active.
3. Bring back the D1 skill tree system, and simply update them to incorporate some of the new abilities of the updated classes. For instance, the Captain America shield for Sentinel can simply replace the vanilla Ward of Dawn with no shield/armor boost. Dawn Blade can simply be dedicated row of skills on the sunsinger. Arc Strider can be the same thing, replacing a lesser used option under the blade dancer tree.
4. Bring back RNG rolls on guns. The chase for god rolls for PVP is what helped keep this game alive down the stretch when your endgame wasn't worth replaying.
5. If you listen to #2, you should bring back elemental primaries as endgame raid rewards. They should be legendary guns, with non-elemental versions available as normal raid rewards, and elemental versions available from the hard raid. In combination with the next suggestion below, we can have some REAL diversity...
6. Implement my system for breaking down elemental primary guns and obtaining elemental cores that can be infused into other kinetic weapons. With kinetic versions of all raid guns available from the normal raid, we can see things such as the possibility of making a VOID Fatebringer, or an Arc VoC, or how about a Solar Fang of Ir Yut? Just using Y1 guns as an analogy. This system would incentivize people to run/rerun the hard raids even AFTER they have all of the raids loot because you'll want to play around with adding elemental burns to your other favorite guns. The raid should be the ONLY way of getting elemental burns on other guns. Well, maybe...I'd consider this as well:
7. When you run the nightfall, any strike specific gun that drops IN the nightfall should have a chance of dropping with an RNG elemental burn. Since its very rare for strike specific guns to drop, let alone drop in a nightfall, this would ensure that the BEST way to get elemental primaries is still doing the hard raid. However, this would also incentivize players to do the nightfalls regularly.
8. This should have been ahead of #7, but strike specific loot should return. It should be GOOD loot, but it should never exceed the quality of raid guns. If the raid is the hardest PVE content, it should drop the best guns, at least for PVE, period.
9. The timer on the nightfall SHOULD just go. It shouldn't be a regular thing. It COULD be a difficulty multiplier much like juggler or exposed, but it shouldn't be there every. single. nightfall.
10. Optional matchmaking for all activities. Stop dicking around with guided games. The math doesn't work out in your favor and the system is overly complicated. Just go with the tried/true optional matchmaking system. Will it ever be perfect? No. But LFG isn't perfect either, and its still an option. Imperfection is not a good excuse for not implementing a system into the game.
11. More meaningful PVE events. Example? Red Legion wants to destroy the moon because it ruins the emperor's view of the sun. So they send an assault team which is operating to destroy the moon. So guardians are called to come to the moon and take out the Red Legion. If we fail to kill enough red legion and stop the device that destroys the moon, well...It goes bye bye.
12. Bring back all of our favorite stuff from D1. Don't make us re-grind for it. Just let us get it back through a special, hidden mission that takes us back to the tower, and we discover a hidden vault that survived the assault.
13. And make all our favorite gear compatible with the infusion system through the use of something like Etheric Light or a timed modification made by Banshee/gunsmith to make the weapons/armor infuse-ready.
14. I'll toss this nugget out there for you SRL lovers. SRL should be a regular event. IB should be once a month, and SRL should come every other week. That way, we have regular events going.
15. How about bigger maps and matches for PVP. Much of the meta issues in D1 could easily have been controlled by adding in larger maps which disincentivize overuse of shotguns, and smaller maps which disincentivize overuse of snipers. Let players adapt to combat situations rather than forcing players away from weapons via nerfs. I KNOW RIGHT? Novel concept...
Anyways, those are just SOME of my top suggestions for making D2 more replayable/fun again.
The TL;DR? Add back in ALL the fun stuff you took OUT of the game to try to make PVP more balanced, and just let Destiny be Destiny already. Put the RPG/Loot grinder elements back INTO the game, create better events for PVE, and bring back some much-loved features. OHH YEAH, and let players keep the weapons they loved from D1. I'd much rather use my old guns than use any of the new guns you have.

It's not like they don't have 2 wish list of feedback and a lot of it is legit feedback. But they decided to use the small petty things and had Cozmo update it as if they were "listening" being fully aware them small petty things are what most companies do with really no questions asked, and actually work on making an update within a reasonable time. Not let things sit on a wish list and let it sit there for months or years depending on what it is, going Umm, Hmm, do you think it's been long enough to give an increase to drop rates, it's been 7 months since Ttk was released? Yeah, the community is starting to get pissed off. Then here comes Cozmo, Look guys! I added the increase in drops rates to the wish list. SEE... In all honesty it's not Cozmo's fault, he is just doing his job. But for Bungie to even think that their player base is this stupid? LMFAO Yeah... This is how this company has treated their player base the entire time since the game was released in 2014. They Do not want any feedback at all. This is a cheap attempt to try to throw off how bad they screwed up this game and thought they were going to get away with it and no one would say a damn thing because how gamers love to throw money at the screen. I guess they thought WRONG lol. You know what gets me the most? this company has the means to make a great game but it's being poorly managed and a lot of gamers keep pushing the goal post saying, but wait, it will get better. You just have to give it time... Umm, they have had well over enough time that any company could of put out a better product then D2 in 2017. I get what you are doing and where you stand on all this. I respect that... But in the long run even though your post has a lot of great ideas and I'm sure by the likes that many gamers feel the same way. But that link is Nothing but a BIG FAT LIE...
