After reading many forum posts here, I've realized that Bungie is up to some extremely nefarious stuff that should cause anyone with a modicum of ethical awareness severe unease. We must stand up to Bungie's clear and present tyranny.
What tyranny, you ask? The tyranny of *forcing* players to not only play Destiny 2- but *forcing* them to do activities that some members of this community find lackluster and boring. Below, I've quoted several common complaints that we all need to take more seriously.
"WAHHH. BUNGIE IS FORCING SOLO PLAYERS TO JOIN GROUPS TO DO RAIDS!"
"WAHHH. BUNGIE IS FORCING ME TO GRIND FOR GEAR BECAUSE I DIDN'T GET EVERYTHING I WANTED FROM 2 NIGHTFALLS!."
"WAHHH. BUNGIE IS FORCING ME TO WAIT A COUPLE MINUTES BETWEEN OPENING CHESTS"
"WAHHH. BUNGIE IS FORCING ME TO SAVE MY SHADERS BECAUSE THEY'RE SINGLE-USE"
"WAHHH. BUNGIE IS FORCING ME TO PLAY A NIGHTFALL/RAID THAT I FEEL IS BROKEN"
Ladies and Gentlemen, Bungie is clearly using threats of force and coercion to enslave our fellow gamers. Unlike many of us, these poor wretches have absolutely no choice but to continue to play a game that they clearly don't enjoy. Unlike us, they don't have the freedom to choose a different game. Unlike us, they don't have the opportunities to only play Destiny activities that they enjoy. Unlike us, they can't simply turn their console off when their minds are broken and tired from too much grinding.
No, instead they have to exist like some sort of Bangladeshi sweat-shop worker... collecting engrams, running endless strikes, and suffering what they find to be a joyless raid.
As a member of the entitled majority that has the privilege of being able to choose when to put down the controller, I say we join together and fight to extend the freedoms that we take for-granted to the lesser-privileged of our community. FREE EVERYONE FROM BUNGIE'S SHACKLES OF SERVITUDE!
*Shameless clan plug*

4 RepliesThis is phenomenal. I can't believe we were so blind to the tyranny. How dare they put a gun to the head of any player and FORCE them to keep playing. Terrible.

Great post. Came in expecting to be aggravated. Left pleasantly surprised.

24 RepliesEdited by Hazethemadman: 9/22/2017 8:30:48 PMWell... when you pay someone for a product or service, you would expect said product or service to meet your expectations. People keep saying that Bungie doesn't owe us most of what we ask for - as if we didn't all pay them for the game to begin with. Disclaimer: I am not supporting nor condemning anything for or against Bungie.

4 RepliesLoot cool downs are a serious issue. This game is a loot shooter. Seems the darkness has taken a break this installment and left us to fight Chronos, the god of time.

Oh and nice work. 😎👍🏼

20 RepliesEdited by The Man Of Steal: 9/22/2017 2:02:15 PMWhat about not being able to choose what pvp game mode you want to play. Explain the reasoning behind that change. Or consumers taking issue with being forced to play 4v4 instead of 6v6. What's the reasoning behind this change? The answer is we don't know because Bungie has refused to address it! What about the reasoning behind Destiny not telling us that there is a loot cooldown. After all, we invest time and energy into our grind. Why not give us instructive tips warning us that we will have to wait a few minutes. No one minds waiting, everyone minds not being told about a significant core change. What about many users complaining that the ammo they need isn't dropping for them. Why isn't Bungie explaining to us the rationale behind removing ammo synths. What about the fact that the community is entitled to voice its complaints and expect a timely response from Bungie. We are the clients! Bungie has been silent since launch except for talking about shaders. What about users who would rather take the nightfall slow and steady meticulously fighting enemies and staying alive instead of feeling rushed. Those users are not entitled to voice their perspectives? OP might think its a frivolous complaint, but when a clear majority is posting on forums complaining about this change.... perhaps Bungie would like to strive to find a medium of compromise? I could go on, but it seems some are only able to think about their selfish perspective these days. P.S. I'm doing nightfalls and raids just fine, but that doesn't mean I'm going to disregard other Guardian's views as whining.

29 RepliesNo, you're right. Anyone who has a complaint or concern should just shut up and quit playing, obviously. It's not like anyone paid money for the game or anything. Emperor Philimanjaro105 has spoken. Just quit, peasants! Lol, who the hell upvoted this sh*tpost?!
-
1 ReplyI think we can all agree, shaders are dumb now
-
1 ReplyOh I like you. The wording was excellent and made your point. And though I think people should be able to offer Bungie advice and ideas for improvement but in the proper way and they should quit whining about it and Just enjoy it for what it is. A fun game.

21 Replies..this is "feedback", bro--we're invited by bungie to vent here.. ..many of us are here complaining because we are passionate about the game.. ..if we were satisfied with the status quo, we'd movin' around town in a horse and buggy.. ..yr attempts to shame us for expressing our views is counter productive.. ..many negative comments have led to positive changes in the game.. ..what have you done lately to provide bungie with constructive feedback?.. ..it's the players you never hear from that walk away from the game.. ..tell me how that guarantees the franchises longevity..

Most of these people are just complaining rather than contributing their solutions, bungie employees arent experts in playing destiny, they just know how to develop an fps with very good gunplay. For example, I typically dont take the posts that ask for a nerf on MIDA seriously unless they point out what exactly should be changed. There are some pretty good ideas like reducing its range or high caliber rounds. Those are the posts that should be up on trending. Not the emotional stories of people feeling "betrayed" by a game that clearly has a negative history...

12 RepliesWow. Thanks dad, really hit the nail on the head with this one. I'll never complain about unaddressed bugs in a game that costs 100$ and withholds its players from enjoying it's one and only redeeming quality: grinding for siqq az loot. Ur such a smart dad. We will just get what we get and we won't throw a fit. Wow.

There is another concern, which supersedes yours. There are Forum goers who have been labeled as 'fanboys' and who never ever see any fault of anything in Destiny. These people never criticize anything, but simply mindlessly continue t shoot things for no reason. They buy silver for ships that all look the same. Emotes that are recycled. Complete multiple quests for the exact same weapons we have used for years. E. T. C.

lol I thought this was some nice bait, now I'm questioning everything
-
1 ReplyWhile I agree with the point of your view or point of view, we can both agree that Bungie want us to enjoy the game their way and that's the problem.
-
3 RepliesIt's pretty concerning when 3 weeks into the game, 80% of posts are about rubbish decisions Bungie have made. We love Destiny and want it to go on for many years and we all feel the fustration. Luke Smith seems to do whatever he likes and the direction he has taken Destiny is unforgivable. That arrogant man needs to step down!
-
People these days seem to think that every company should adopt the burger king motto of, "Have it your way". Personal I would rather play the game Bungie developed and appreciate it for what they created.

Edited by Kind of Mind: 9/22/2017 1:05:08 PMI like these forums because users can submit their own feedback in their own ways. If that means expressing their frustrations and criticizing the game then so be it. Typically, people have good reasons to be critical of the game. The truth and fact is that there are MANY things that could be better but are simply not for this game because bungie made simple bad decisions that could have been handled differently. Consumers, players, and the community at wide have a right and the freedom to submit feedback as they see fit. If bungie doesnt act on the majority, rational, and logical requests, it shows what kind of company they really are.. Destiny 2 isnt bad, its actually fun. But it could be better! If people dont like the toxicity, no one is forcing them to use the app/web site. In every product and service, there is always a channel of opinions and point of views because we all have minds and like to use them. Deal with it!

2 RepliesThe nightfall would be better without a timer. Or at least make an optional timer that offers extra rewards.
-
5 RepliesIt is only a game, after all. What still amazes me is just how much people want to hang around and just gripe when there's so many other good games being released now.. We're well into the beginning of the fall release schedule. You don't like the game, go play something else. Nobody is forcing you to play this game. Good to know that the instant you aren't hating on a game you're a fanboy of it though. Kinda similar to how the moment you call someone a fanboy you become a whiny hater whos salt flavors my noodles.
-
Though! I agree to all of this! ALL OF IT! The nightfall was pretty god dang tough. Lets be honest here. Everyone here has a new hole in their walls from that one. Got it done after attempt 2 but....damn...not looking forward to the next time ive gotta do that one...

3 RepliesIt's 2017 I can't believe we still have people living in such horribly conditions

I thought you were serious, and was about to tl dr and comment git gud, until i saw these bog WAAHHHHHH's in the middle of the post, and had to stop to read. Great post. Sick of the complainers.
