People, I played for about 4hours so far and the game has been... fun! Feelin' good about throwin' that money at the screen. Share your experiences below, that elevator though...

Despite other people complaining about "lack of content", I think Bungie really did a great job on realizing what they executed poorly for D1 and improved on those areas in D2. I'm sure there's plenty more secrets and activities to come within the next few weeks, so let's be patient! After all, [b]the game has been out for 3 DAYS[/b]. It's hilarious to read from a few people already complaining about lack of content! Most people are mad about the new shader system! Edit: Don't get me wrong, I like to read what other Guardians have to say about the game; whether it would be something the game does great and things that are in dire need of attention.

I'm enjoying it. The quality of life changes are good. I don't like that they removed the weapon perk system. I'm still in the habit of checking the perks when I pick up a gun and it's like, right same thing. In my opinion they should've changed all the supers and abilities. It would've made that more fresh.

1 ReplyMy favorite part is patrolling in the EDZ, the stealing a pike and zooming to some far off Public Events. I haven't even explored half of it! I do wish we could get other vehicles, like maybe the drake tank or the bulldozer in patrol. I think that would be awesome!

Loving it, everything about it! Side note, my mute list is higher than it was in D1. Muting the authors of the anti shader/microtransactions threads have cleaned up the forums for me.

I've played many games over the years and just can't fathom how anyone could honestly rate this game as "bad or 5/10, etc" unless you just don't like shooters and or just terrible at them. Sometimes I think the issue is perhaps deep seated emotional issues making the nay sayers unhappy no matter what. I hear drugs like Prozac can be pretty effective.. I'm not suggesting nobody can state anything negative about the game just that some folks clearly have personal issues they need to contend with first. Destiny 2 is just generally fun to play no matter what activity you're doing because the game play mechanics are so solid. Lastly, for $60 I consider the game a hell of a deal. The amount of entertainment value per dollar is quite good. I know there will be DLC's adding on to an already great game but to me its well worth it. I played a total of sometime like 1000 hrs on Destiny 1 and payed maybe $100 or so total. I imagine I can easily do the same here. I'm currently playing on the PS4 Pro but will get it for PC as well once I get one built (going all out with a 1080TI / I7, etc.) think playing it at 60FPS + will be well worth it.

2 RepliesPros: very beautiful game!!! more than just "re skins" on enemy types Absolutely LOVE the way mission and open worlds play meshes. makes the game progress more intertwined. LOVE the color pallets LOVE the multiple NPCs who have lots to say. CONs: leveling is a bit to generous

8 RepliesNot impressed at all. Story is very short. Patrolling will get old quick. New load out just makes the game a bore at times. Fixed rolls I just delete everything now if I have one no reason to look anymore. The movement just isn't as good as D1. Grenades and supers are still pretty bad and charge to slowly. Strikes well they may be the most boring part of D2. I enjoyed strikes in D1. D2 is just easy mode now. I can see the raid being super simple for sure.

Pros: - Love the story! Best one yet of the Destiny series! - I haven't played much crucible, but the few games I did I actually enjoyed 'primary' matches. Love the new elimination mode! - New weapons are great- loving my Wardcliff Coil! - Nice job adding the Flashpoints, 'Adventures', Challenges, and World Quests. - LOVE the new strikes! All of them feel challenging, yet fun. - Public Events are solid (still learning how to activate Heroic mode for some of them) - Some of the Lost Sectors are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! (I can't wait to see them on PC) Thanks for letting us 'farm' them for xp and loot! - Love the new fast launch locations on each map; helps get to an objective/public event much faster. - A few of the Supers are FUN! I love the Sentinel, Dawnblade, and Arcstrider subclasses. The rest are a bit underwhelming; it seems as if the devs ran out of time to give the other subclasses a new face lift like the 3 mentioned. - Melees feel powerful! Finally! Neutral: - Still on the fence about shaders and weapon/armor 'mods'. - Still trying to get used to double primaries, but leaning more towards the positive side with the new weapon slots each day. Cons: - Character/Power Leveling. I mean, wow. Level 20 in just a few hours??? I literally created and maxed out my hunter in under 6 hours of game play. - Grenades- now that's a name I haven't heard of in quite some time. . . Yes, the recharge rate is still horrible! Why Bungie, WHY??? Please consider buffing the rate for PVE. - Why do we have to practically go through the entire story before we get a freaking sparrow??? TIP: If you're going to create a second or third character, PLEASE make sure to store your green sparrow from your first character in the vault! - That f'ing FALCON in the beginning!! Was that necessary Bungie?? To have him lead us all that way, only to make us leap off a freaggin' cliff and almost die?? That m'fer is DEAD to me now!! - And of course: the impending Great Nerf of 2017. Seriously, it's hard for me to sometimes enjoy a beast of a weapon or amazing subclass, knowing full well from prior experience that it will only be a matter of time before Bunghole nerfs the shit out of it. God forbid we have any fun with just one particular weapon or subclass!! NO SOUP FOR YOU!!

2 RepliesI was expecting something a lot longer for the story the way they kept trying to hype it up, but at the same time I'm not surprised that it was what it was. Granted I though it was a bit better then vanilla, though I still had a lot of moments where I was questioning what we were doing and what the point of it was. Then there's all the little extra things that are just for grinding filler. Hell I think the campaign for some of the halo games was longer.

1 ReplyIt has good and it has bad. While I'm not going to list them off my overall feeling towards the game is, it's an improvement in some aspects, and then two steps back in others. I'm least affected as I wasn't hyped for the game and am only playing because I won a free copy. I would say it's a 5/10.

3 RepliesI just completed the "Red War" campaign missions & holy crap Bungie NAILED the epic "Halo" storytelling with this game unlike the previous game. Definitely a huge improvement compare to Destiny 1 :)

There's a lot of stuff to do, gear is dropping, the weapons feel good, gameplay is solid as ever. I am pleased. The music and sound effects are also top notch. Anyone that's a lore nerd will be pleased to find some of those clues scattered around the locations and what's possibly coming in the future.

I'm enjoying it. I like wandering around and shooting things. Things I don't like are the shader system, and the infusion system. I wish they were like D1. The thing I like the best is the quest tracking and the director/map, awesome job whoever designed that. Also - Submachine guns magazine is way too small - Sniper rifles seem pretty weak - rocket launchers also seem pretty weak ; I like everything else, including the two primaries, I like how it works, I'm constantly switching between them.
