When I attempt to join a fireteam in a raid it will automatically send me back to orbit while I wad still in my ship. Even when I manage to join a fireteam, it kicks me out a minute later and returns me back to orbit. Last night, I was on my Xbox One, scrolling through the group posts in Destiny Destiny Destiny until I noticed a group post for Crota's End. I automatically joined because I was trying to get Deathsinger's Herald for year 3. So, I joined there party and we greeted each other. I was sent an invite to the raid, but right when I joined, I was sent back to orbit. My team constantly had to wipe because of me leaving, but we got up to Crota eventually. I was never able to get past Crota because I would either leave the second I joined, or I would leave a minute after when hardly any damage was dealt to Crota. The same thing happens in strikes as well. Other players have said that this happens to them as well. They report the same issues as me such as leaving in mid raid or strike. The video above shows a player being kicked while in a mission just as I have said. Though this player has PS4, this has been happening on Xbox One as well.
