What do u guys think?
Edit: Lots of you guys are complaining about lag but remember that Bungie said there would be lag issues and other things wrong with the beta.

Criticising is good for a beta. It helps guide the game in the right direction. Its better to criticize now instead of later. However, if you are criticising for no reason, that's not good.
-
I feel that the supers need to be faster charging up. Half the time the game is in the last 20 seconds and the team finally gets their super, half time we don't even get one.
-
1 ReplyHonestly it's fun but feels a little like the division now. Just something about how enemies take damage. The movement feels right. I can't say that I like pvp that much though. I guess I got used to the way d1 feels. Oh and before any one says I'm a little kid who uses crutch weapons, I'm a 47 year old who uses not like the others, telesto and choleric dragon. I liked the strike it looked great. I guess overall I'm on the fence about buying it. I was lucky enough to have gotten a early beta code from a nice person. Hopefully I will be able to come to a decision to buy at the end of the beta.

PVE: I love the home coming Mission it was fun an interesting, no more "wait while I open this" I was happy to see all our NPC actually fighting. Nolanbot.....However, needs to shut the hell up, I hate his voice, hated every since he replaced Dinclebot. Weapon load out is kind not good for me, coming from D1 being a over all snipper type of players, having my snipper on my heavy slot and not being able to kill an enemy with one shot even though it was a head shot is kinda annoying. Ability cool down: lord save us all this is the most annoying thing for me, as a main Hunter specially NightStalker, not having mu Shodowstep every other second is really inconvenient, i can count how many time I need to get out of harms way and I couldn't due to not having my bloody shadowstep, and let me talk about how I didn't use my supper more than once in the Strike. Suppers take so long to recharge that I can see people just huging it till s really dier situation, picture this right I got 150 kills in a strike, you will think I would have gotten my supper atlease 3 times right?! HAHAHAHAHAH NO, I got it twice and that includes collecting orbs from my Mates. PVP: finally I like PVP on Destiny, feels night to actually have some skills to kill people, my very first match I got a 10 kill strike without using anything but my gun, it's nice to not have granades flying all over the place or shutguns warrior running around kill people from 50feet away. I really appreciate this. Something i can help but notice is how much content in comparison to this first destiny beta this one has, 1 story mission, 1 strike and 2 PVP modes..... yeah kinda sucks, all you need is 5 hours and you are done. Over all I like the PVP but I can't help it but to think that Destinity 2 is catoring to the wrong crowd (PVP) I won't be caceling my Pre-order but I won't be dying to play the game on Midnight release.

I never thought I would ever say this but I did not enjoy playing Destiny 2 so far :( The story mission was a solid start and got me hyped. Then I jumped into the strike which was unbelievably boring to me! It was too long and had really nothing interesting in it; Just a bullet sponge boss. Also the power weapons felt really underpowered in ratio to their ammo rarity. The damage was just slightly higher than the other 2 slots and that's just not satisfying! And then there was the ability cool down that was way too slow for pve. It made the whole experience feel too slow and boring to me. I'm not gonna say anything about the subclass customization and the lack thereof cause it's just wrong and a terrible mistake and there's no argue in that. Then I hopped into some crucible. First of all the whole quick play and competitive playlist is just some meaningless labeling. It's like calling salvage competitive and skirmish quick play! That's not how it works. Countdown and control are just two different game modes and nothing more or at least it feels like that in the beta. Then let me tell you about 4v4. If you're in a fireteam of 3 or 4 you'll probably have some fun but if you're playing solo the possibility of having fun gets to minimum. At the moment you'll run into so many teams of 3 or 4 in the crucible and that means even if one of your teammates is a blueberry you're -blam!-ed. D2's crucible is way too team based and there's no 1 player carrying the whole team like Destiny 1. Teamshots felt just brutal and fireteams have just more chances of teamshotting you. In 6v6 modes we could have teams of 3 or 4 against us and some not highly skilled players as our teammates and still win but good luck with that in 4v4. Every game in the beta was either us crushing the other team or they crushing us and nothing in between. And for a game that values primary gun fights most guns didn't feel that good to me. Handcannons had way too many bloom shots that I knew I was landing a 100% but did no damage same as the sidearm. SMGs were way too inacurate and scouts didn't feel right for the small map types. Only the pulse rifles and auto rifles felt usable to me. The only thing that I enjoyed in the crucible was the power ammo situation. All the guns felt great except for the grenade launcher which in my opinion is not really designed for pvp. These were mostly all my thoughts and although they were mostly negative I'm still excited for the full game release and I know this is just a beta and so many things will change in the future. Fingers crossed!

Destiny 2 beta is basically a halo lite. I hate it. It's nothing anywhere close to what destiny 1 gave us. Destiny 1 gameplay is what built their following, then they turn away from it. Feelsbadman.

Visually, its looks fantastic. Weapons sound terrible though. First PVE mission was good. Strike, good. PVP was bad. Movement is slow and boring, jumping on a titan is ridiculous. RIP abilities - you were the main reason I sank thousands of hours into D1 Weapon slots are simply stupid. Running around (slowly) with two auto rifles and a grenade launcher that does about as much damage as a BB gun, isn't the fun Destiny experience I've loved for so long. Ahhh... and the radar is cr4p too. Other than all that, good job!

1 ReplyEdited by iNeedIcyHot: 7/20/2017 3:11:14 AMPvE was really enjoyable feels like original destiny, but I disliked PvP, melee shouldn't take 3 hits to kill someone with full health (too time consuming), grenades need to be a kill if you stick someone instead of doing about half damage. I also noticed that if you shoot people while you're airborne you do significantly less damage than if you were on the ground which makes it meaningless to go airborne in an engagement. Overall there are a few flaws in PvP that should be fixed.
-
It is totally awesome!!!!!!!! Please is really fun the strike is really fun and all the new subclasses are amazing!! It is definitely NOT a disappointment as some might say.
-
I have some reservations about the new PvP (and PvE to be honest) but I'm going to wait and see what the "final" version has to offer. I feel like it's unfair to judge the game based on the BETA alone.
-
PvP and gunplay is terrible. It doesn't cater anywhere near to solo play and the only time you could have a chance is if you have a team to play with.
-
1 ReplySome terrible hit registration so far , I know it's a slow TTK but some games feel like I'm firing a water pistol.

2 RepliesHorrible...the time to kill is way to long in pvp, and supers take years to charge. Probably canceling my preorder, D1 is so much better than D2 imo!
-
Looks great, plays great. I think you lose some customization on how your guardian plays, which really sucks. Still feeling out how the weapons are, understanding that mods and whatnot will come. Hoping crucible goes back to 6v6 modes. Overall I worry that this is a dumbed down, beautiful looking, aesthetically focused, expensive D1 DLC.

I loved it cant waite for tge full game and im a Destiny 1 veteran think metroid and remember it's just a beta better things are around the corner and if your a true fan then you'll stick with it

3 RepliesEdited by Scarface7887: 7/19/2017 2:18:08 PMWhen Destiny first started it was one of a kind, it broke the monotony of the other games that came out. It had promise it could have been something LEGENDARY and had its chance...if they would only have listened to the players...but they didnt. They promised fixes, better content...but for a price, an expansion...one or two were good...but nothing was blow your socks off spectacular. After the Crota raid I stopped playing. Giving Bungie the benefit of the doubt and slightly buying into the hype, i decided to give them another chance... Fast forward to yday...IDC WHAT anyone says...Bungie knows, or should know they are losing fan-base big time... Somebody KNOWS people are pissed...especially about the cabal expansion but I wont go into that, and what do they do? Release a less-than-stellar (albeit 60fps) prettier, version of Destiny 1 which felt like exactly the same game, no patrol, one strike, and 2 crucible maps...really Bungie??...You KNOW people are on the fence...but you just say, "Ah, screw it, just give them this, they won't care they'll buy it anyway." THEY MAY, but I WONT. Everyone I know that pre-ordered cancelled including myself. NO THANKS GUYS. BTW when Destiny 1 initially came out...EVERYONE on my friends list was playing the Alpha and Beta save 10-12 people...yesterday at 7pm EST only 4 people on my friends list were playing and one of those people was playing Destiny 1 which means he didnt care enough to preorder Destiny 2... If this doesnt tell you anything Bungie...then you just don't care. - A Former Fan

Edited by GRAVEL: 7/19/2017 4:56:40 PMI'm wondering if it's not too late to re-brand it DESTINY ZERO. It's a step backward from Destiny. It's main saving grace is, I believe... this time around I won't be forced to play PvP in order to reach Max lite.

58 RepliesEdited by Darran: 7/19/2017 1:41:45 PM
What do u guys think?
Pile of shite. Done the missions and played a few games of PvP. PvE: For some reason it felt like I was playing The Division. Slow, Boring and weapons taking 5+ clips to down normal enemies. The strike boss was Atheon reskinned. You can tell Bungie are lazy, running out of ideas and just selling you reskinned/rehashed content. PvP: Teleporting Guardians as usual. Hand Cannon bullets not registering. Full clip of an Auto Rifle just took half health of the opponent away. My copy of Destiny 2 is cancelled. Come at me fan boys. Edit: So the usual 0.whatever KD argument is the best you guys can come at me with 😂😂😂 I rest my case 😂

Very little lag. Out of about 25 crucible matches there was about 1-2 matches with noticeable lag.
-
The menu screens are pretty annoying. Viewing your roster almost seems impossible sometimes
-
3 RepliesI played for about an hour & half. Left underwhelmed. Everything is just so slow & basic. I understand that it's a bare bones beta but I couldn't stop playing the D1 beta
-
The only thing d1 had was releasing early into next gen cycle... where there were no other large titles out yet except titanfall. Thats probably 50% its success with another 48% being bungie vision and 2% because of sheep.
-
4 RepliesStill too early to separate my thoughts of gameplay from D1. I suppose I'll need a little more time to separate the two in my head, however these are my first thoughts. I still think the field of view is too narrow. I'm a bit concerned that primaries (kenetic/elemental) will be DPS kings for PvE. The two crucible maps both offer more angles of engagement, but everything seems to be close quarters. The strike is just tiny encounters spread out over long running distances. Was this just a way to mask buffering? Random things have insane detail, while other aspects seem to be drawn with a crayon. I like the reduction of melee damage, but am a little confused by the purpose of grenades. I definitely felt more powerful in D1, but I'm 10 under the recommended light for D2, so maybe that'll change once I get my hands on the full game.

4 RepliesThe lag thing that's because too many are trying to sign at the same time
