We all expect a spring update in April or May, much like the one we received last year during the infamous Post TTK content drought. We can all agree that this update, if we have one, would probably be the final BIG update/content update before Destiny 2 in Fall 2017 (If they don't delay it into Spring 2018, though that's a topic for a different thread). Here's what I would personally want: 1) Revamped Raids: yeah, we all want this and I know it's cliche, but it would be amazing honestly to get some of the older gear into YR 3 light levels. We all know that the older gear unfortunately outclasses the Wrath of the Machine, and some of the Kingsfall gear. It would be epic to get a YR 3 Fatebringer, or Word of Crota. The whole elemental primary issue comes into play, but that'll be worked out hopefully. It would give a chance for a player, such as myself to play the older raids for the first time. I really picked up Destiny during TTK, and none of my friends would do Crota's End or VoG with me, even though I had millions of chances to do so. 2) New Storylines/Content that wraps up TTK: I noticed that my first and second points are contradictory, and I know when it comes down to it, it's probably going to be revamped raids that people want, but Destiny still has SO MANY QUESTIONS TO ANSWER. If this Spring Update is going to be the final update, we need to have content that answers our questions. Is the Queen still alive, and where is she? Who is Nokris, and what about Oryx's siblings taking the throne? What the hell is going on with the Taken? I need to know. I would have preferred a sequel to TTK that wrapped everything up in a beautiful climax than the Saladin Sob Story we got in the form of RoI. It'll be a real disappointment if everything isn't covered, especially with rumors Destiny 2 is starting fresh. I'm not asking for a TTK size story content, maybe a HoW sized story with a new strike, something like Skolas to top off the end of a memorable game? 3) Weapon Re-Rolling: You do not understand how many times I have seen the legendary I have busted my ass for weeks, days, hours, etc. pop up on my screen, I scream filled with excitement, and you look at it's rolls...and find it is utter garbage, and you're back to square one. I understand limitations have to be set, but for weapons that you will see once in a blue moon, weapons that come out of Crucible and Vanguard packages, should definitely be given an option to reroll. For example, maybe YR 2 weapons that drop in the Crucible such as Eyesluna, Ash Factory, etc. and older weapons you get out of Crucible and Vanguard packages like Longbows, LDRs, Lord High Fixers, Grim Citizens, etc. should be rerolled. Strike Weapons and YR 3 Weapons you can buy from a vendor shouldn't be able to be re-rolled for obvious reasons, skeleton key would mean nothing since you already have the weapon and you could just reroll it, etc. This would save lots of tears, and controllers. 4) Legacy Faction Packages for Armor and Weapons: I never, and I mean never got my hands on a Hung Jury for reasons that really do not make sense. It kills me that I can never get one of those bad boys in my hands again. Any Destiny player would tell you wonderful stories about the older factions armor and weapons, and honestly, they are truly plain better than the current ones now. I liked when each faction had an individual look for their armors. Now for example, each set of faction armor for a Warlock is a Haliaetus (forgive me if I spelled that wrong) reskin in their own faction colors/design. It would be SUPER neat to be able to have two more options, Legacy Armor and Legacy Weapons packages, to be able to choose from, and it'll make ranking up with a faction a lot more interesting. 5) A significant increase in drops for shaders, emblems, and exotics in PVP and PVE (ESPECIALLY): I feel like I have seen a shader or emblem drop maybe ONCE or TWICE in a normal strike or crucible playlist, and that excludes special events such as The Dawning, SRL, Crimson Days, etc. I cannot honestly say I have seen an exotic drop for anyone without the use of Three of Coins, which are EXTREMELY unreliable. This happened from what I think a lot more back in Year 1, when people had a slight chance of getting an exotic at the end of the game. It would be neat to get Arctic Proxy, God of War, etc. or a really cool emblem in a strike, that will put some relevance back into normal strikes again, and it'll be a nice change from seeing the every 5 or so weapons and tons of blues in the RNG circulation. 6) A new crucible game mode: I am asking for a lot at this point, so this is my penultimate request (as Bunge has a fetish for the number 7). Supremacy was fun, until it turned into Jug-Titan flying around with a Matador Mania. I think it'll be a fresh way to breathe life back into an already tensioned filled area of the game, and if we do get content updates, it'll be a great way to not neglect the PVP community. 7) Increase the drop rate for exotics not already had: You do not know how many times I have opened up an exotic heavy and gotten dragon's breath, or the times where I have opened up an exotic special and received a 4th Horseman. We have all learned through painful trial and error not to rely on Xur for anything, and we all have or had that one exotic that was ALWAYS elusive. Help us out man. Wrapping stuff up, I know it is a hard bargain, but this stuff should be free. We are just recovering from Destiny: The Collection, Rise of Iron, and all the silver we had to spend to actually get rewards in Festival of the Lost and The Dawning, albeit a much lesser scale. This update, if free, would breathe life, actually resurrect a nearly dead friend we all know and love. I hope we have maybe 2 or 3 if I am lucky points to be implemented into the game, but hey, it's your game. Hoping for the best.
