I have played as a titan from day one. Recently, I decided to play as a hunter just to switch things up a bit and to collect some old weapons (murmur). All I have to say is that I have mad respect for hunters. I've died so much lately due to the lack of amor that is crazy. Maybe is my lack of experience with the character but shit is tougher with a hunter. Fosho!
Edit: just to be clear I'm talking PvE. I don't play much PvP. I just dabble in it.
Edit: I'm not trying to start a class war here guys. My intent was to show appreciation for other players that can use a character with a different play style. For some reason, I just don't feel comfortable playing as a hunter. Titans suit my play style better.
Edit: Stats don't mean nothing to me. Ever since Activision quit giving out achievement badges in '83, I haven't cared ( video game crash of 83. Look it up and learn your gaming history). Yes I'm an OG gamer(odyssey 200, coleco vision and atari 2600) and I'll play until my hands fall off.

Edited by U12070628: 1/12/2017 11:47:44 PMI main hunter but I don't use night stalker. I use blade dancer sometimes, but gunslinger is my favorite. Blade dancer? Super is trash, and I feel dirty when using sticky or skip nades. Night stalker is just a nasty, dirty class as a whole. Wombo combo...the shade step...panic super. While it isn't as good as havoc fist (or whatever it's called, I never use my titan) or nova bomb, it still can work as a panic and with quiver you can run around and kill 2-3 people. I just feel like a douche when I use nightstalker in crucible, which is why I only use it when my fireteam tells me to in pve. But I avoid it whenever I can. I use it for pve though, but it's the best hunter subclass for pve and pvp.

I usually switch between my hunter and titan a lot (Just restarted my titan though, didn't like the way she looked the first time xD) And it always takes me a few minutes to readjust to the jumping and playstyle. With the hunter I am staying back and jumping around, I try to play support more, where with my Titan I try to get front lines and attack.

Edited by samwenchester: 1/12/2017 11:57:39 PMYes, activision practically saved gaming, but they're now in the midst of ruining it. I bet they even release crash bandakoot remaster collection with a micro store in game that you have to use to get thing you need .

I'm quite the opposite. I'm a warlock main and I started recently on my hunter and to me everything pve related seems a lot easier. Haven't done much pvp with it so not going to say anything on that matter.

It just takes practice like anything else. Hunter is all about the agility. Every class has their strengths, for me I main hunter and play my Titan the least, which is probably why 2 and a half years in I still mess up my jump on the Titan more often than not.
-
That's why Hunters take the most skill over the other classes.

Thank You

1 ReplyWtf... Your congratulating other players for playing a dog class.. And this is why this game is falling apart. It's like a warrior congrating a Druid in WoW... Like what...
-
2 RepliesGunslinger is somewhat meh in pve Blade dancer is also meh Night stalker is your best friend in pve XD
-
You get used to it 😂 agility is good.

Nice grasp on your hunter

I did what you did in reverse, lol. I started as a hunter, still my go to guy. It was invisibility that sold me. I like scouts for pve and that mid to long range fight appealed to me. My wait back and clear them out then move in worked well. Space between you and them......is good lol When I later started my titan. I tried playing the same way and I noticed encounters seemed way easier so I switched to pulse rifles and moved closer. I rush in with the titan where I'd never do that on my hunter. They are all fun just play around and see what works for you and for the record I found I too had a harder time with some classes in certain situations than I did others

OG Gamer....pffft.

Great post, I've mained hunter since I got the game, also have the warlock and Titan, camo abilities are great, overall all clases have great perks for pve and pvp

2 RepliesThe truck is to stay at long range and run away the second you take damage

Edited by Ratti: 1/12/2017 7:42:52 PMHunter was my favourite class for Skolas. Particularly Bladedancer for the invis.

1 ReplyEdited by SquidGuy: 1/12/2017 8:46:59 PMHunters are the best class for pvp. Nightstalker is great for pve.
-
It's easier for a hunter actually your just a bit inexperienced.
-
I remade my Titan recently and I forgot how tankish they are in PvE. I had switch back to my hunter for some reason, probably a nightfall with someone, and quickly remembered how untankish Hunters are.

4 RepliesUse max armor and have an elemental chest armor perk for each subclass.
-
Thanks for that. Yeah, we don't have the largest amount of health, per se.

2 RepliesEdited by lonesoldier27: 1/12/2017 7:20:00 PMI remember the oddesy 2, you had to tape a sheet if plastic with the game screen printed on it to your tv, the console would light the screen up behind the sheet lol

Big ups homie.

6 RepliesHunters for life, friend ;) imo, the squishy class in PVE would be the warlock. My god that glide...it's...unforgivable. When you go from the speed air jordans known as the Bones of WEEEEEE IM FLYING and then titan skating, getting on a warlock is like running around with an anchor tied to your legs. Hunters make awesome support classes in PVE tho. Nightstalker tether plus Ghorn in a cluster of mad enemies equals orbs for days. Always a good feeling to help out your fellow guardian friends get their supers back.
-
If you know how to use the Hunter correctly, it is by far the best in PVP. I have dedicated many hours to PVP and those little Bastards are the hardest hard to kill, no doubt, always dodging, jumping, twitching, sliding, and disappearing and shite.

I find all three classes have advantages and disadvantages ( pve ). I play all three pretty much equally. I think you are having a lot of deaths because you are not used to playing that class or maybe all of you subclasses aren't opened up yet ( didn't check ). I don't think any class is more difficult than another.
