I think this trials is a good and healthy addition because it gives people who aren't highly skilled in trials a chance to win matches, and if lucky actually go flawless.
I would like if Bungie made this trials rotate once every 3 weeks so that is not always dominated by pros and twitch carriers.

2 Replies143,000 teams went through this week and 141,000 went through last week. I don't think this no radar and no revives really helped or hurt anyone. Elite players will still be elite. The only thing it could have done is discourage some elite cry babies from trying and allowed more casual players to try it out but as a whole not too many people got through in comparison to previous weeks.
-
Trials isn't for casuals if PvE...if you're not good, you don't deserve to have a helpful little push.
-
3 RepliesI'm ok with no revives but no radar is a no go. It helps casuals too much. Pathetic noobs that don't know how to use good map awareness or primary gun skill get the easy flawless. Can use cheap tactics like stickies and call outs. They don't have to worry about any elite snipers at all this weekend. I can't agree with no radar
-
2 RepliesRadar but no revives and no heavy would be the most balanced. And keep that permanently

The Adept weapons are meant for those who earned them are skilled enough to get past the best players. You can still get those same weapons form 7 wins, so what's be complaint? You want it to be easy to get some of the best weapons in the game? Honestly, this post and all the people defending it are just making Bungie believe we don't want to earn weapons are prefer things given/RNG'd to us. Next it'll be RNG'd Trials game type... Trials is one of the very few game modes where you actually EARN your rewards and don't sit there with fingers and toes crossed after every match hoping that you instead of the bottom player gets a god roll drop.
-
Isn't that the point of trials? You say "pro" but im a casual player and I'm able to go flawless almost every time I do trials with a few exceptions. Trials is a hardcore endgame PvP content that isn't for everybody. Just like farming PvE content isn't for everybody. There is no reason they should dumb down and promote degenerate gameplay just to cater to those that don't have the ability to put the effort in. There is a reason it's called competitive. And this was not healthy at all. I played 4 games and walked away because it wasn't fun. I won 3 out of of those games but each game was absurdly long due to the camping and cheap tactics that otherwise would have been punished because it was bad gameplay. But they got away with it because these handicaps. People have to understand in destiny the player is to powerful and moves to fast to not add some elements of prediction. 5hde events actually promote fair and skilled gameplay.

Trials? Healthy? I knew auto correct was never a good thing to implant!

It's the whole reason I still play this game
Nothing wrong with carries on twitch either
I like the idea of it but the amount of people using nothing but the shotgun and that dont even try to use a primary. Like its annoying shooting someone with my primary while hes charging me with his shotgun and my primary doesnt kill him fast enough and i die. Its bullshit

75 RepliesEdited by Summ1BetterThnU: 10/31/2016 1:02:48 PMPeople without skill shouldn't ever be allowed to see the Lighthouse. Trials is suppose to be the only competitive multiplayer playlist. This weekend and next weekend aren't even real Trials of Osiris. If they continue with this type of Trials, I'm going to quit playing.

If a scrub can sneak up on all you trials pros and wreck you, that's on you, you should of gotten wrecked

Edited by Unforgiven: 10/31/2016 11:03:28 PMIts seriously sad to see how easily amused you guys are But I will agree. This trials is a nice change of pace. Considering how easy it was to change two modifiers, and then release it as new content. Bungie sure works hard. Like for Like https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/216826908

2 RepliesEdited by Kornby: 10/31/2016 11:40:51 PMLess savy players are not at an advantage. People who are used to the fast paced 6's playlist are at an advantage. Players who are used to pushing with Shotguns and having opponents all around them. Unfortunately, in this gamemode, a good strategy is to sprint with a shotgun out until you run into someone. It is funny how everyone wanted more gunplay from trials.... then they like this mode? There is less 1v1 primary play here then any trials in the past.

How's it healthy if ppl are arguing about it
-
Disagree. If Bungie wanted less skilled people to go lighthouse, they would make it SBMM
-
What's so good about this week's trials?

1 ReplyGood thing I got skyrim now I never have to play crucible anymore ^_^

Bump please

bump.

2 RepliesSo you want potatoes with a controller to roam around aimlessly and stumble upon a kill? I don't like this trials at all for this reason right here
-
If it gives player's who "Aren't" highly skilled a chance at lighthouse then what does that say about player's who "Think" they are? ....Answer: They Never Were to Begin With

1 ReplyI disagree with you assessment of why this trials is better. It's not easier, it's different. It forces people to think a little more. Any of these leet streamers saying how this is garbage trials should just "git good." My fireteams have never had to communicate as much as we have been this weekend. They need to get rid of kill cams next. The dead don't speak.

Edited by ZeroCool: 10/31/2016 4:31:25 PMI agree with this is a nice change of pace. However, I disagree with you making it out to be some sort of crutch for not so savy pvp players. Its a different environment with even greater risk and rewards. No radar, so you have to rely on sound and communication. My 5.1 headset did well during some pivotal moments, "psss...i can hear you hunter..." No revives, so that one guy who is "good" well be more cautious , on more of an edge. Carries are not guranteed because once the streamer goes down, its a wrap. We encountered a few carries, once we identified the main head and knocked it out, the others fall pretty easily, systematically. The biggest threat is a good solid team with good communication and situational awareness.
