edit: put this at the top cause people aren't paying attention and or aren't reading all the way through. the hard cap of 2 would still be in place. you could achieve 3 nades/melee only by having the artifact MoF. the trade off would be NO SUPER. The kills and deaths would still be the same in the end.
While wearing Nothing Manacles, or any other exotic or perk that enables double melees and double grenades, the perk from Memory of Felwinter should roll over and stack with 3 melees or nades. You are already losing your super, what would be the big deal.
Also I would like further info. on Memory of Felwinter and a detailed explanation on what exactly "a small boosts to all stats" means. Is it talking about armor, recovery, agility or strength, discipline, intelligence or all of the above? If when wearing The Ram does the armor perk negate the armor perk from Memory of Felwinter? And if so that should stack too.
I mean if I have Memory of Skorri the perk that helps teammates regenerate super faster does it negate other perks that help teammates or yourself regenerate supers?
edit: its not that you wouldn't have the 3 nades because of the cooldown mechanics. but spamming them with out regard would leave them drained, but knowing you have three nades would come in handy for those people that play conservatively and don't just use shotys or short ranged, fast time to kill guns. more options would open up for different play styles.
edit; given the limit already in place, for example, nothing manacles + MoF = 3 nades. the cap still exists but the trade off would be no super.
edit; the main opposition to this idea is people's fear of what other people would have. do you all realize that you would have it as well?
edit: stop trying to limit others and call for nerfs when what this game needs to balance it properly is buffs. mainly to primary weapons. but all I hear is to nerf something when what should happen is a buff to other things to bring those things up to par so everyone can find a play style that fits them not bring those people down who have a play style.
edit: no one is complaining about the unlimited sprint that has rushing with shot guns an absolutely cancer in crucible?

2 RepliesThat would be more detrimental then beneficial. Cool down times would be much much longer. Plus exotics that give you a full energy on spawn don't even give you both charges back when you respawn. Just one. So i'll pass.

2 RepliesIt would basically give you a mini sunsinger super especially if you ran like sealed ahamkara grasps and gamblers dagger would be 3 throwing knives plus two nades. Or young ahamkara spine with gamblers dagger is 3 tripmines and two knives. There are many more combos too

1 ReplyBoost is likely just strength and discipline. Boosting armor agility and recovery would create problems. Boosting intellect would be pointless. The reason they are limited to 2 is to prevent spam issues for certain grenade and melee types.

Although, class powered perks, exotics and the felwinter artifact should give you those extras, because you are sacrificing alternatives. So what if that gunslinger has 4 knives? he can't golden gun and he still has to hit you with the second knife or shoot anyway, whats so different from the otherwise regular encounter? oh no, that titan has 3 lightning grenades, but wait, no fist of havoc so he can't do shit when hes in deep. a Sunsinger with 3 melee charges? end of the wo- oh wait he can't revive himself or spam as much as he would be able to or more with his super anyway, and flame shield has more of a cool down than it would normally, so that third stack will take like, more than 2 minutes to come back. My point is that yes, they will have those many stacks of whatever they have at the start of the match, 4 knives or 4 sticky Sunsinger grenades, but they couldn't utilize them, other than once a match. Why? Because it takes double the amount of time of the base stack for the next one to charge. 25 seconds base at tier 5 strength or intellect for the first stack, 50 for the second, 100 the third and 200 the 4th. Waiting around after you spammed all that without counting in any lessening factors or grenade or melee energy regaining perks, would result in a whopping 6 minutes and 15 seconds to get that fourth charge back. If you waited a full 3 minutes and 20 seconds to get that fourth charge back, or even 1 minute 40 seconds in the crucible for the 3rd, you either don't use your abilities enough, or are dead before you can get them off. Overall, it simply wouldn't be viable. TL:DR - having 3 or 4 stacks on something would just take too damn long to get that 3rd or 4th stack to make a difference. The alternatives of a more appropriate exotic class item as well as a super would outweigh the benefits of lots of melees and grenades for a single moment, or the fact that rarely you ever let yourself have two full stacks of anything for more than a minute in the crucible.

2 RepliesBy the way, the Jolder artifact does take away the sprint cooldown but doesn't remove the slide cooldown. You can only slide 3 times then it gives a very small cooldown where you can't sprint to prevent infinity sliding.

3 RepliesHonestly I would like it more if the thing still let you keep your super, but instead of blowing people up it just imbued your subclass's element into your weapon to allow you to fire with an element on primaries, and double elements on secondary and heavies, or else to increase the burn effect with them. Recharge is double normal speed, drains with each shot fired while in effect, maybe with the ability to turn it on and off... It's not like this would effect crucible where elements are meaningless...

1 ReplyI'd like to have 4 throwing knives for my Gunsligner, with also the perk that recharges knives on crit kill, that would equal pure madness. To achieve 4 knives, you would need the perk in the subclass, Sealed Ahamkara Graps equipped and then the relic equipped as well, giving 4 total at the same time (also, the insta-recharging knife on crit kill in in a different colomn from the one with the extra knife perk.)

It would work for all three classes since all three have exotics that hand out these perks already. They will let shotguns be as op as ever in the crucible but not allow this?

2 RepliesThe artifact is not meant to be used on all classes. Why would you ever give up a super like storm or golden gun. It's meant to be used on support supers like buble, night stalker and sun singer.
