Sony denied Bethesda permission to do PS4 mods on FO4
Here’s the full statement from Bethesda:
[quote]After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.
Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive. We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available.[/quote]
I guess [b][i][u]console[/u][/i][/b] mods for Skyrim and Fallout 4 are Xbox One exclusive now.

4 RepliesJust like that, I broke my Fallout 4 for wasting time waiting for mods. The game is fun when there's stuff to do, but after dlc completion and campaign completion, I don't see a reason to continue playing. People say make new builds but I'm a level 491 and I play as every damn build... Nuka World came out, it was ok. It only lasted atleast three hours for me and just like that, I deleted it.

5 RepliesFor the first time in ages I am questioning my undying loyalty to Sony and the playstation family.... no mod support for Bethesda games makes me question what else is Sony going to -blam!- up... I been foaming at the mouth for ages for skyrim on the ps4 with mod support.... he'll was even think of picking up for for the same reason .... maybe it's time to make a switch...

Sony is actually ass, but since they made Xbox look like a retard at e3 2013 with words they've had all this hype, and it's finally slowly ending for them. Xbox is going to retake the throne with there actions, not just words like Sony. Maybe they'll never reach how many PS4s were sold, but they are and will be the far better company, product, and service. Sony isn't what people think they are, but like I said, they made the best of a bad reveal of the Xbox one back at e3 2013 and have been riding that one single wave ever since EDIT: Sony also denied the ability to play cross platform on rocket league. It seems like Sony is all against the gamers lmfao "greatness awaits" "for the players" EDIT 2: Also lets not forget Sony said no to EA access as well. Sony isn't open to what's a good idea for gamers. It's Sonys way or the highway. It's almost like a dictatorship. No to anything that isn't Sony lol EDIT 3: thanks to some folks, I forgot Sony also raised price of PS plus.

2 RepliesThe grass is always greener on the other side. Sony saved you guys a lot of headaches, xbox users were getting obliterated by purposely glitched/bad mods causing numerous outcomes for users. How? A guy stole a mod from another creator (took credit) and the scorned creator started putting out bad mods which screwed up people's xbox's and corrupted save data. Trust me it was a nightmare for thousands. Sony did you guys a solid.

8 RepliesDisappointing, for sure, but given the massive reports of stability issues with the mods that have made it to fallout 4 on the Xbone, I can understand the reasoning. By putting those mods on the ps store, Sony endorses the mods as safe and stable, which at this time they are definitely not, especially when you run more than one at once.

15 RepliesBecause Bethesda can do [i]no wrong[/i]. If you can't tell, my last statement is dripping with sarcasm. Bethesda's statement implies that they shouldn't really regulate mods. Modders should be given complete freedom. Sony does not want that. Sony wants regulation on mods. Sony wants to insure that their gamers are protected from any malicious intents modders may have for the console or players on that console. Bethesda doesn't agree with that line of thinking. Does that not mean Bethesda is now in the wrong and trying to throw Sony under the bus because Bethesda refuses to regulate mods? Most of you will probably disagree because you think Bethesda is your Lord and Savior. Whereas I remember Horse Armor.

New weapons are cool. New armor maybe. You won't be getting better graphics though. Or entire new areas. Or huge projects like Falskaar.
