Increase the legendary mark limit

Right now it is only at 200 and always am at max and wonder if in the new expansion if it would be raised ? .....I use my marks btw but get them back too fast and sometimes they could be useful but instead of wasting where if it was raised it would give not only me but some other people some breathing room when it comes to trying to not waste marks [spoiler] I noticed that when I woke up that 55 people liked this which is crazy to think such as it was made in such a short time but many people have been Saying that it should not be added as if it would hurt anything such as "people buying a full set from the vendor" and I know that no vendor(s) have anything decent on them in terms of armor but I don't see this as a problem as gear is at 280 when bought off a vendor Wow so many people liked this his is really cool to be on trending plus I have read and tried to respond to every comment I can if I haven't on your I'm sorry and will most likely see it within the next couple hours :D

  • It should be like 300 or 400 that way you could buy two weapons or armor pieces at the same time.

  • Every time I hit 200, I exchange for material to level up a faction. ..... simples :) I always leave myself with 30 marks so I can use it for infusion.

  • It used to be 400 on each character so 1200 each week and once unified it's 200 only with no weekly limit.. I think it should be 600 at least with no weekly limit

    • Don't you know they want to keep you at the edge of poor so you have to keep working. Now that I've discussed our government we can also apply that to Destiny. ;)

      • Go back to having Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks instead of Legendary Marks. I think that would be best.

      • Two cases: Either you aren't spending the marks which means you don't need to increase the limit or you do have something to buy which means you won't max out so they don't need to increase the limit

      • The purpose of a smaller limit is to ensure that once you buy something, you have to grind for more in order to make another purchase. If marks were unlimited, or even at 1000, many players wouldn't play the daily playlists because they don't need marks. I dont want to play rumble...but I sure will for 10 fast marks. See what I'm saying? They probaby regret not capping strange coins, people have hundreds and thousands.

      • Yeah, it should be 400, since it used to be 200 vanguard and 200 crucible marks before they replaced it.

      • Honestly I don't know why it isn't unlimited now that legacy consoles are being left behind.

        • I say raise the limit to 500 or 1000. You share these across all characters anyway, and if you save up enough you ought to be able to purchase multiple things. Not like 500-1000 Marks would make it so the player can buy everything, only what they wanted and even then not all the guns/armor. Personally, I always have hated limitations on currencies, because it really doesn't make sense to me. It only hurts the game by making it feel more grindy than necessary.

Kinda silly there is a limit in the first place. If I wanna horde marks let me horde marks. I don't see a limit on how much silver we can carry! Huh... Funny how that works. Accumalting thousands of marks would hardly be game breaking. Yeah future proofing blah blah blah but c'mon Bungie if we earn them let us keep them!

        • We had 200 van marks 200 cru marks back then so we should get 400 marks

          • No, it's fine as it is. Games like destiny need economies to stop people hoarding and then exploiting the levelling system

An alternative might be to exchange marks for faction rep. If you don't need mats, weapons, or armor, then why not just donate marks directly to the faction?

              • There is no reason to have two-hundred legendary marks stored (unless IB is in town). I like to keep a float of around one-handed marks, whenever I reach two-hundred, I buy upgrade materials, ands start from one-hundred again. Upgrade materials can be used to upgrade weapons, and rank up your faction.

                • I'm firmly in the "no limits" camp. I don't get why there are limits on these things. If a player wants to patrol for six months and rack up a million glimmer if for no other reason than to have a million glimmer, who is that player harming? I don't like these weird limitations in the game. They prevent players from playing Destiny how they want to play it, from expressing themselves in this world, two stated development goals. Instead, the effect is we must conform rigidly to the way Bungie wants us to play the game. More often than not, our behavior is not guided by our desires, but by the limitations of the game. In other words, the game plays us. I hope Bungie reconsiders their stance on the "If you're playing the game as you should be, economy caps aren't a problem" argument. It directly conflicts with their stated goals for the game.
