Obviously this thread will get riddled with people showing they don't but if you randomly look at at someone's profile you will notice they play best on their Hunter more often than not. I understand that Hunters have to best collective k/d in the game as a whole and most of the best pvpers prefer a Hunter but why is that?

Hunters are heaps better at hit n run. They trade less and can gtfo when they need to.

Hunter is more fun to use. I play better when I have fun
-
nah not me
-
I have higher kd on my titan but I like hunter the most *shrugged*
-
I must check myself.

Guilty

My Titan was my first I took into pvp and was destroyed stat wise. My hunter was my second and most favorite character because he required learning a new play style to use properly. Titan since creating the others always seemed like easy mode vs. The other two classes.
-
I could be wrong, but I think my hunter stats are my worst of all 3. Either way I'm not very good at pvp anymore.

Edited by SREDISKRAD: 7/30/2016 2:19:59 PMBWAHAHAHAHAHA! Check my stats. My Titan stats are best compared to my hunter and warlock.
-
Not me. I personally dont enjoy the hunter, and as such, it has the lowest kd of my three
-
Mine is like this. The hunter is the last character i made the other 2 were basically practice chars. Even though my kd sucks it is slowly climbing.
-
It's because of when I made my Titan compared to my hunter. I disregard warlock for this because i don't like the feel of it. My Titan is my original character. It has been my main from the start, and it still is. When I first started, I was trash, so I have been slowly pulling it up. On the other hand, I made my hunter sometime during dark below and didn't play much crucible on it until house of wolves.
-
Not always true.
-
I'm in the same boat, my hunter is moving up quite fast with a 1.08 but my Titan and warlock is at a 1.03 but steadily moving up. I know, I'm such a below average player but I'm also Scrublicious hehe.
-
It depends on the player. My hunter, while overall has the highest k/d in my group has the lowest playing time. My warlock is second has the midrange high k/d- but since I "got gud" since year 1 my last 6-7 months have been pretty consistent with 1.9-2.2 k/d averages. My Titan... Oh my Titan. I made him to troll people in the crucible. Bubble, NBP, PC+1, and Sword. I don't care about his k/d as much as blowing off steam or shoulder charging like an asshole. Even when I die, it's funny on my Titan.

Mines the other way around.

3 RepliesIt's somewhat changed with Taken King, but historically Hunters have always been less about their supers than the other two classes. Warlocks and Titans always have a buildup to a big spike of damage output, and then they're back to normal. Hunters always had roaming supers that can't exactly guarantee kills and need setup to do well with, and even Shadowshot doesn't explicitly do much other than augmenting your normal performance. Because of that, Hunters generally have had a better arsenal when not supered than the other two. Their throwing knives, blink strike and smoke give them higher range potential entering a melee fight. Invisibility has its uses in the right hands with how radar-reliant people are, and Nightstalker's enhanced radar is incredibly useful. Their grenades aren't exactly bad. Their jump is perhaps the best in the game for Crucible because while Titans do have lift skating, only Hunters can instantaneously overwrite their current momentum when they hit the jump button a second time and then they're affected by gravity so there's no true hang time where they're vulnerable. They can even shoot while multi-jumping. So yeah. It's mainly in the kit.

I like playing the Hunter in PvP, its fun but also I enjoy the Titan a lot! I would have a higher kd with the Titan but I started destiny as a Titan and sucked back then and only made a hunter much later so for me the kd is a bit askew that way
-
1 ReplyUsually it's pretty close, but sometimes Hunter is a bit higher. In my case it's because I enjoy the Hunter class the most. I don't take the other classes as serious in PvP. Another reason is the Hunter class is kind of designed for PvP. The other classes are superior in PvE for most players.

Everyone started off as a Hunter back in the day. It's residue from when Bladedancers were the best class to use.
-
Idk what it is. Might just be one of those classes. Hard to get the hang of when you start but pays off when you get more skilled?
-
No they are all about the same
-
Wombo combo + shadestep
-
for me hunter is my main and the titan play mostly ironbanner with defender (hardest to use when you want play with Teamwork)
-
Best jump and Quickdraw, it's all I need
