Memories. Memories of a time before being a Defender...a shield, or a real set it stone Guardian for that matter. There had been a time when he enjoyed seeing enemy after enemy fall to his fists. A time when his cherished First Curse hand cannon had taken the heads off of many Fallen scum. He and his Hunter teammate, Jaren Ward would scout the wilds and destroy any Fallen that they came across. It was a good life, always having a friend to watch your back...but it wasn't enough. They had just finished helping a small camp of people when he laid eyes on her. The leader's daughter, easily the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. He chose to stay behind...with her. He asked his ghost to go back to the City, told Jaren to be safe and that he wished him the best of luck, and buried his First Curse on the cliff overlooking the now village sized camp. He helped build the houses and small wall around the camp, married the woman that won his heart, and together they had a couple of children. This was his life, and he favored it over his past. But...it wasn't meant to last. They got a few years of happiness, very little Fallen activity...and what activity did happen was quickly taken down by what little Light he had left. Then came the House of Kings. An organized attack unit, perfectly strategized. They had attacked in the early hours of the morning, stealth Vandals with their arc swords, cutting through the first defenses. He told his wife and children to hide in the house, as he used his Fist of Havoc to dispel a wave of enemies. The battle seemed a victory...until the King's Kell laid waste to the last defenses between them and his family. With the last of his Light he ran forward and was about to perform his last Fist of Havoc, when the Kell back handed him and sent him flying to the back of his house. Dazed and hardly able to move, he watched as the Kell shot his two children and proceeded to rip the limps from his wife's body. Anger brought him to his feet, just for the Kell to shoot him and toss his carcass out into the center of the village. His Ghost found him, and using the little Light left, resurrected him. He went to the cliff to retrieve his First Curse, and saw the devastation that had befallen his home. He dug up his gun, cleaned it off and let loose a single solitary shot. His Ghost shivered. It had never felt the anger or sorrow that its Guardian was currently feeling. He vowed to never let anyone he cared about die again...but to do that he would have to become a Defender, he would have to seek out the one person...well Exo, that he knew would help, Saint-14. He found Saint-14 in his quest to find Osiris. After months of training, he had mastered being a Defender, and his master presented him with a replica of his mighty Helm. His next quest was one of vengeance. He returned to the Cosmodrome and hunted down the House of Kings, with the sole purpose of finding and killing the Kell. Thousands of dead Kings later, he is still no closer to finding that wretched Kell.
Edit: I've decided to continue my Titan's story past being revived...and his killing of the House of Kings. Hope everyone enjoys.
After years of trying and failing to find the Kings' Kell he returned to the Last City and offered his aid to the Vanguard. They recommended that he find a ship in the Cosmodrome so he could travel into space and carry out their missions. While looking for parts to completely repair the ship he laid waste to all the Fallen he came across, including a Devils' Archon...bringing him to the attention of the Speaker. Further Vanguard assignments on Earth, mostly in the Cosmodrome, revealed more than the Fallen as a threat...the Hive also proved to be a menace, especially the damn Wizards. After all of the missions had been taken care of on Earth, the Speaker recommended he travel to the Moon and fight against the Hive. While on the Moon he heard of an even greatly threat on Venus, but was not told to go there by the Vanguard. After many battles, he succeeded in freeing a shard of the Traveler from the Hive's grasp. The Vanguard sent him to Venus to examine the supposed new threat, and it was there he encountered the time-traveling Vex. This led the Vanguard to demand he annihilate the Heart of the Black Garden, the power that the Vex worshipped, believing it to be the Darkness. Because he didn't know where the Black Garden was, he had to make a deal with the Awoken Queen, Mara Sov. Once he had upheld his end of the deal the Awoken told him that he owed them and to go to Mars, which brought him into conflict with the Cabal. After killing countless Vex and Cabal, he finally completed his mission. He soon learned of the Vault of Glass and ventured into it with five other Guardians, some that he had seen during his missions, others new to him...though he counted them as brothers-in-arms. Together they defeated Atheon deep within the Vault and he was able to rest...though not for long. Eris Morn soon brought news of the Hive God, Crota. After defeating Crota's forces on Earth and the Moon, he teamed up with the same five Guardians that he had been with at Atheon's downfall and ended the threat of Crota. Again he thought he could finally rest. He tested himself in the Crucible, doing well in the Lord Saladin issued Iron Banner and paid visits to the graves of his family. While at the graves, on the fifth anniversary of their deaths, he received an urgent message from the Awoken Queen requesting his presence immediately. The House of Wolves loyal Fallen she had kept at her side had betrayed her. Upon hearing this he laughed, which angered the Queen and her brother causing him to reveal his pure hatred of the Fallen and his experience. He quickly did the Queen's bidding and wiped the House of Wolves to almost extinction. He even got to bring down two King' Barons while stopping the Wolves, though neither told him where he could find the Kell. After the capture of Skolas he purposely visited the Prison of Elders frequently..with a couple of friends. This continued until the arrival of Oryx, Father of Crota. With the supposed death of the Queen he felt obligated to avenge her. He fought against Oryx's Taken, Hive and some Cabal until he was able to finally bringing down the monster himself, with his friends of old. With Oryx gone, the fight finally seemed over. He gave up fighting for a time and built a small house close to his family's graves, never letting any desecrate the land that was his. When his Ghost informed him of Lord Saladin's request that Fallen be kept from Felwinter's Keep, on the sixth anniversary of his family's death, he jumped at the chance to help. He defeated the Fallen Devil Splicers and put an end to the SIVA replication chamber. The threat hadn't ended however, the Splicers were still plaguing the Cosmodrome. Aksis, Archon Prime was the leader of the Splicers.....if he could be stopped, then the threat may end. After a few intense months of battling the Splicers the chance arose for the Titan to finally end Aksis. With some old, familiar Guardians, he brought a new sense of peace to the City....all of them being called Legends. There were still threats to deal with, the Hive still clawing at the Light even though their "gods" were dead, the Vex bringing back old foes that were easily defeated, the Cabal Empire looming out in the Solar System....somewhere and that damned House of Kings Kell. Still he was able to return to a more quiet life at home.....until the need for a Legend rises again.
An emergency signal from the Vanguard....now that is interesting. The Vanguard had always contacted him if they had an assignment, but it was never an emergency. He had set aside the life of a Defender, stopped wielding the Hammer of Sol, and buried his First Curse back upon the hill. Armed with the powers that he was once fond of, and a side arm he went to answer the call. Arriving at the Tower revealed the destruction...at the hands of the Cabal?! Cayde's ghost said that they were the Red Legion. The Titan fought his way through the Tower and was given a ride to the command ship by Amanda Holliday. After making it through the ship...and disabling the shields, Dominus Ghaul, the leader of the Red Legion cut off the connection to the Traveler....taking the Light from all Guardians, and kicked the old warrior from his ship to the ground many miles below. Death...something he thought he would never truly experience...was upon him for good. Visions of his wife and children appeared before him. His children hugged him, wife kissed him, and calmly said, "it is not yet time for you to die." With those words she and the children turned into a smoky falcon that flew through images and towards a piece of the Traveler. Waking from the vision, he was battered and bruised but...surprisingly alive. No Ghost, no powers, and no strength to fight off any enemies, he made his way through the Last City. He found his Ghost and together they made their way out of the City. As they were leaving a falcon guided them through the wilds. Cabal War Beasts and Legionaires attacked him as he followed the falcon to a lady named Hawthorne. Hawthorne took him to the Farm and set him on a path to reclaim his power. Traveling to the same piece of the Traveler from his vision...known as the Shard of the Traveler...he was able to claim the powers of the Light again and became a Sentinel. Wielding a shield filled with Void power and that reminded him of the Defender, he went to the European Dead Zone and fought against the Red Legion. After discovering that Commander Zavala was alive on the moon Titan, he made his way there to start a war to reclaim the Traveler from Ghaul. After helping to eliminate threats on Titan he made his way to Nessus to retrieve Cayde-6. From there it was a trip to Io for Ikora and then the fight began.

Edited by Tybosius713: 9/9/2017 10:21:06 PMHeading back to the EDZ, he eliminated Cabal forces and took a ship to the Almighty...Ghaul's weapon that was damaging the Sun. On the Almighty he destroyed the weapon and then proceeded back to the Last City to face Ghaul. Zavala, Cayde, Ikora, and Hawthorne helped him to make his way to Ghaul's ship...almost giving their lives to do so (in fact Cayde literally lost a hand). In the final battle Ghaul had "taken" the Light from the Traveler and Tybosious showed him what it meant to be Chosen by the Traveler...defeating Ghaul. But the Light within Ghaul manifested into a large version of himself...making Tybosious question if the fight was not over. The Traveler broke free of its cage and obliterated the manifestation waking something within the deep reaches of space and damaging itself even more. For now the threats that remain are those small forces of Fallen, Hive, Vex, Taken, and, of course, Cabal around the system....though for how long.

I think the people over at #Gallery would appreciate this more

2 RepliesNope. There are rules to fan fiction. Never bring in established canon characters. Reason why: the developers can give those characters a completely different story to what you have told. Thus, making your fan fiction moot. It is best to stay away from established characters. Create your own characters and enemies. That way, it is entirely plausible that that could actually happen as developers could not retcon it. I can tell you have talent and enjoy doing this. I just wanted to give you a pointer and help you in your writing. Sorry if I came across really mean or mad. Not how I meant it. :)
