STOP the CARRIES for ToO
Can we please stop the carries for ToO. It's getting ridiculous. I'm tired of coming across god like players carrying sub par players but wiping out my team every time. Once you have gone flawless for the week on that character you need to be locked out of trials or put into a different lobby against only players that have gone flawless that week. It will be like the Champion bracket for trials but still giving the guardians a chance to go to the lighthouse who have not made it there for the week.

I do double carries and I lose all the time :) trying to carry two guys is pretty impossible if they do not know how to play trials. That is why in double carries I need my teammates to actually do something and help me win the game for us. In single carries 3rd one doesnt need to do anything he can just sit back and watch two others kill everything. But when you are alone carrying two, teamwork is very vital that is why I think people I help to lighthouse actually deserve it since I am just a big help but cant do it all alone. I have gotten many lighthouse virgins flawless even at the same time just because our teamwork was on the point. Learning how to revive and push is pretty much one of the most important things in trials :p

4 RepliesI recently had a post about how this could be fixed. Among a few other changes was a permanent second tier that you got put into once you get to the lighthouse. That way it's easier for the average player without a decent fireteam to make it for their first time.

1 ReplyCarrying is such a big thing now, because every streamer wannabe is using it as a means to get followers. "Follow me on twitch for a carry" Everytime I see someone begging for followers and promising a carry? I'm pretty sure a kid is abducted.

12 RepliesI dont understand the mentality of people like you. Nowadays everyone wants free handouts instead of working towards there goals. Work on yourself instead of trying to pull the requirements down to your skill level. You know what? In year 1 i sucked at playing crucible and as trials came out i motivated myself to become a better player. Now i'm sitting here with 100+ flawless runs and it feels like an accomplishment. Spend less time on the forums and more in the crucible and you'll get there.

this. if ToO is supposed to be some elite destination - then STOP CARRYING PEOPLE. DON'T - and people who've won in a week they get put into a pool of other tryhard elites. Go ahead battle it out. If you can compete against every other team of tryhards at different tiers THEN that would make for some bragging rights. Maintaining that the lighthouse should only be accessed by the elite and then carrying people there - while denying people who're trying to get there on their own power is pure BS and it should stop.

I prefer going against streamer arries, as soon as you take out the streamer, the others run around okie chickens with their heads cut off

4 Repliesjust make it so only people with an identical card can go flawless, that way all of the carriers will have too buy boons every time and they'll be essentially wasting coins if you're going to restrict them, if they want coins they'll have to lose, if they have to lose their elo will drop and they won't like that.

Carrying or not your still goona come across those players just 3 of them instead of 1. I'd imagine their in such a skill bracket your more than likely to avoided them unless your in the top 20% of players.

Bungie would need to put some reward on the champions bracket which casuals would then want which they couldn't get unless they were carried and the problem starts again I suppose. I still think your suggestion would be an improvement though, just question whether it would be worth the investment required.

11 RepliesIf you cannot defeat that player while they are carrying what kind of madness possesses you to think that you could beat them if they weren't carrying. They are not beating you because they are carrying, they are beating you inspite of carrying. If they weren't carrying, they would probably pound you harder if they had a decent team mate in place of the scrub.
