Girl Tax?
I know the title may be inflammatory to some, so I'll start by saying I love the destiny community and usually have no issues.
Anytime I raid with a team that's over 50% strangers I always wind up getting kicked. Regardless of my K/d, light, dps or general wipe-causing--blam!-ups I'm always the one kicked.
Am I being paranoid? Or am I being penalized for bing a girl?

They're probably just smelly neckbeards that don't know how to talk to girls. For me, age and gender are irrelevant in gaming. If you are cool, we have no problem.

I thought the virgins would always kick the boys first. I find they just make OTT fake laughs at anything girls say.

Sadly, most of the girls I've seen play with no mic for this reason. Easier to stay on a team as a no mic than a female. Pretty silly really, play ok and I don't care.

I used to Raid with a girl and honestly she was the best one on the Team most of the time. Never once had to tell her what to do or even questioned what she was doing. It just got done.

You could try using voice settings to deepen your voice if you play on PS. I'm not saying you should have to do that, but it is an option if you want to see if you get kicked less with a "guy" voice.

Dunno... but i run with a couple of girls and we do just fine. It may be crucible or pve. Theres no kicks happening, we dont want that in our circle. Doing those kinds of stuff is immature and unhealthy with friendship. Honestly, you're better off looking for people you can permanently run with instead of random people at lfg.

Maybe they just don't know how to talk to girls so when u join the party it's all like "oh shit...a girl. *long awkward pause* I can't play destiny with a raging boner like this, boot her!!"

I have a friend on destiny who's a girl and at first due to her old mic she sounded like a young boy (sometimes known as a squeaker) this might be what's happening to you and would explain the getting kicked

When I raid with people from LFG, generally no cares who you are, and people don't get kicked unless they're either really bad or really annoying. Plus I always host those raid groups, so I don't have to worry about some prick kicking me.

I don't think this is just a problem for you it happened to me for a while as well back with vog. It's also happened in the division people are just morons. Just do the best you can at establishing a good group of friends who you can play with its what I did. But we don't raid due to none of us really caring and quitting the game for a while.

All I Know is my team doesn't discriminate but your going to here lot random stuff being talk about in the chat hardly any barriers. But we have played with girls before it's never been a problem.
