Hello my fellow Guardians,
I threw up a post last week just marvelling at the number of excellent, riff loving humans I've encountered through the course of playing Destiny, and I was pretty blown away with the response. I have spoken to so many people about new music and have so much to work my way through it's staggering! Feeling free to share the tunes you love is what it's all about, and if you've got any suggestions or just want to support bands you love, share them around in here!
I stream Destiny on Twitch almost every day now that my internet is finally good enough for me to do so (-blam!-in' Australian Internet). I asked the question in my previous post if anyone knew of any other fellow Streamers who were really into Heavy music, and I didn't really hear of anyone :(
I'm going to go ahead with my own little Heavy Metal journey and fly the flag on Twitch, but it's far more fun with friends. What I want to ask now is if there is anything in particular that the part of the Destiny community who loves Heavy tunes would like to see broadcast? Ultimately I'd like to build a community around the music and the infinite number of sub genre's Metal contains, but i'm really just looking for community feedback as to what that might be. I was fortunate enough to have plenty of folks swing by my Twitch after reading the post last week, I took some requests and even gave a band that a follower plays in a spin. (They are called Snake way, well worth checking out on Spotify!)
I'd love to hear from anyone with any suggestions, ideas or feedback at all, or if you just want to be involved in building a Sub-community for Metalheads in Destiny. You can write me here, but given the short life span of these forum posts it's definitely worth getting at me at the Twitter and Twitch links below!

If this is something you'd like to support, please don't forget to Like the post, and comment if possible. Keeping this post trending is really the best way to help and spread the word to our like minded Guardians!
Thank you for your time :)
Cheers!

3 RepliesMaybe it has already been suggested but how about you have each stream have bands that are specific genres of metal? I have seen people throwing around the term nu-metal and classic metal so use that to your advantage.

2 RepliesEdited by Kreuger: 4/6/2016 9:13:21 AMMy choices are Dark Tranquillity, (old) In Flames, and Therion. Dark Tranquillity's Punish My Heaven is pretty amazing. It's like a tiny, condensed heavy metal concerto. Their later work is just about as well arranged as heavy metal can be. From their more recent work I'd recommend Lost To Apathy or Monochromatic Stains. Therion deserves a mix of their early death metal and later symphonic development. For the early deathier stuff is recommend either Melez or In The Desert of Set. For the symphonic music I'd recommend Ginnungagap or Flesh of the Gods.
